Saturday, December 11th, 1976
Remus was sitting in the room of requirement, reading the potions textbook, trying to get prepared for tomorrows test. He was supposed to be alone for this, Sirius and their friends had neglected to come.
But, Remus didn't end up alone. Because at 1:03 Sirius burst in looking...well, mostly tired.
"Siri? What's wrong?" Remus questioned his boyfriend once he had collapsed in a chair across from Remus.
"Nothing! This isn't a bad thing. I mean mom will hate it, but it's not bad!" Sirius nearly shouted, anxiously.
"What's going on?"
"It's Regulus."
"What's wrong with him?" Remus was getting concerned. Was Sirius's brother hurt or something?
"That's the thing, Regulus isn't a him. She just told me she's a trans girl. What do I do?"
"Well, first of all, am I allowed to know this?"
Sirius nodded. "Of course I would never out someone. Well, except Severus, but that was an accident and we were twelve and he's forgiven me!"
"Okay. Well....You're seventeen, which means you're a legal adult which means you could take custody of Regulus if needed. Other than that....Mostly you just need to accept and support her for who she is. Make sure she knows we aren't going anywhere."
"But, what about James? I know he's bi, but what if he doesn't want a girlfriend? Or at least doesn't want a trans girlfriend? What if he hurts her? Or outs her? Or kills her?!" Sirius was obviously panicking hard to think James would ever do that.
"James will be fine with having a girlfriend, including a trans one. He's dated a trans girl before, but also, with it being Regulus, I really don't think he'll care at all. And I'm 100% sure he won't hurt her or anything."
"You're probably right, it's just....She's my baby sister. I don't want anything to happen to her."
"I know Siri, but it'll be okay. I promise." Remus assured.
Sirius nodded. "Thanks, Rem."
"Of course, babe."
