Chapter Text
Betrayed PT1
Wednesday felt betrayed. The one person besides Enid who knew her fears and vulnerability was the pawn in the mastermind. How could she let that happen to her? She really thought Tyler could be her confidential, one of the few she could trust. Currently, she is at home since classes were canceled. She is working on her second book, she’s been typing away all day when a knock on her door took her attention away from her type writer.
“Who is it”, said Wednesday, without much emotion in her voice.
“Pugsley. I’ve been sent from Mother to tell you something”
Wednesday sighed. Damn you Mother. She told him to come in and he obliged.
“What is it Pugsley”
“I just wanted to let you know there’s someone wanting to talk to you at the door. I think he said his name was Tyler”?
Wednesday froze. How could that be? Just yesterday he was being handcuffed and taken away by military vehicles. How did he even break out? How did he find my house?
“Alright I’m coming”, Wednesday muttered.
Truth be told she’s been longing to talk to him and sort a few questions still left unsaid. She at least wanted some closure and leave this chapter behind.
She got down to the door and saw him. The same man who broke her heart, who betrayed her, who was behind the attacks of her friend Eugene and the other people who went into the woods.
She went up to him and stared at him blankly.
“Hey…I just wanted to talk”.
“You have 60 seconds. Talk”.
“I’m so sorry for everything. For hurting Eugene. For not telling you that I was behind everything. I just wanted to protect you and I know I should’ve told you but I didn’t. But I found you because I followed your scent. That’s all I wanna say”.
I was stunned. I look for any lie, any detection of any type of false remorse but I can’t. He’s looks genuinely sorry. But I straighten up my posture and take away any emotion from my face.
“Is that all you wanted to say? If so then you are free to leave now.” I said that with a slight tone of anger, not much though.
He sadly turned away and I watched his back leave the yard, back into the woods.
“Oh sweetie…come here my poisonous viper.”
I turn around to see my mother. She has a somber expression.
“I do not wish to speak about this. Never bring this up ever again.” I said that last word with much harshness.
I slowly but swiftly head back into the darkness of my room, typing aggressively at my typewriter.
