Steve finds out Arnie is still alive about three weeks after he runs into Times Square, three weeks after he wakes up in the future. Three weeks long he thinks nothing makes sense. Three weeks long he thinks he is alone in the world.
He has Arnie. He still has Arnie.
He and Arnie play cards like they used to. They talk like they used to. Steve feels understood like he used to. There are things they need to learn to talk about. Slowly.
Some things are too painful to discuss. It's easier to play cards. For now, at least.
