Chapter Text
The plane had arrived to Greece. Athena had decided the bronze saints were in need of a break from fighting. From the Galaxian War to the Attack on Poseidon the bronze saints were at their breaking point. Everyone had fought hard enough and Athena believed that the saints needed to live outside their duty.
Shun and the other bronze saints boarded the plane and said their goodbyes to the gold saints. They took their seats on the plane. Shun sat with his brother Ikki. He could finally breath a sigh of relief for now.
Shun realized that Athena had not boarded with them. Shun got up but Tatsumi stopped him. " Lady Saori won't be joining us back to Japan" he said keeping Shun from leaving.
Ikki opening a judging eye at the bodyguard. Shun sighed in acceptance and layed his head on his older brother's shoulder. He had remembered a piece of advice that Shaka the Virgo Saint suggested.
" If you ever feel unrest when it is peaceful, meditate and reflect apon what you have to be thankful for. Appreciate life when there is no conflict and when there is. You give the situation power with your response to it."
Shun didn't quite understand the Virgo Saint. Yet he mostly understood what he meant. He just accepted his friend and goddess was staying at the sanctuary and not going back to Japan with them.
He meditated when he didn't sleep and the plane ride seemed like it only lasted for a minute. Yet when they arrived in Japan he felt the many hours of plane travel hit his body. He was much more tired than he expected. Yet everyone seemed to bounce with nostalgia when they saw their home. Ikki being the exception.
The hours passed by quickly. They had gone out to eat to a local restaurant they had enjoyed when they were allowed to leave the Kido mansion. Their appetites had grown since they had been there. Yet Shun didn't feel hungry. He felt oddly home sick. He was home he was in Japan. So why did he feel like a stranger in his own home town.
"Ikki, I'm not feeling well can I go back to the mansion. I really don't want everyone to stop having fun. I'm just going to call Tatsumi to pick me up." Shun whispered.
" Hey it's fine, It also looks like everyone else is getting tired so you call Tatsumi and we can go back to the Kido mansion. I'll get everyone to wrap up their bill." Ikki said petting Shin's head
Shun excused himself to the outside of the restaurant. He looked at his pockets looking for change to input into the pay phone. Luckily he found 200¥ in his left pocket. The coins slid into the the coin slot. A small click being heard when the coin had been confirmed. He punched in the house number of the the Kido residence. The phone rang twice before being picked up.
"This is the Kido residence, how may we help you" a old voice said into the phone.
"Um, this is Shun can Tatsumi come pick us up at the Sakana Ramen House." Shun spoke into the cheap pay phone.
"Yes he'll be there's shortly," the phone had been hung up as soon as that was said by the older servant
Shun put the phone back in the slot and left the booth. He returned to the warm restaurant and informed Ikki that Tatsumi was on his way. Seiya and Hyoga groaned.
"We should have totally let Hyoga drive us back." Seiya cried
"I mean Ikki would know how well I can drive." Hyoga snickered.
"No, you can drive well but you don't have a license. I'm not risking our lives all cause some goose wants to drive." Ikki grumbled
Everyone broke out into laughter, their cheeks warming up will glee. Their bill came and Shiryu payed with the money Tatsumi had left them when they went out to eat. Eventually Tatsumi arrived at the restaurant. The boys filled up the car and they rode off to the Kido estate.
"Man I really missed good old fashioned Japanese food." Seiya yawned
"Yeah that was some of the best Takoyaki I've had in a while." Shiryu agreed
" I'm gonna go to bed I'm stuffed" said Shun rubbing his eyes
"Yeah me too, I've got plans tomorrow." Ikki said
"Woah Ikki has plans what a surprise" Seiya said shocked
"Where will you be going, Ikki?" Shiryu asked
"I'm not allowed to say at the moment but I'll tell you guys when I get back. I'll be leaving in the morning." Ikki explained
Shun felt his heart sink. He knew where his brother was going and he knew he couldn't be stopped. Shun remembered what Shaka had told him and accepted it. It hurt but it was inevitable.
"I'm gonna go to bed now, goodnight everyone." Shun mumbled as he went up the stairs.
Shun had the little energy he had drained away when he realized Ikki was going to go away again. He felt abandoned again. He understood why his brother is reluctant to live as normally as he could. Yet it still upset him. He changed into his blue pijamas and buried himself underneath a coffin of blankets.
Once the blankets touched his face he felt his hot tears running down. His eyes strained in pain and conflict. He sniffed and huffed until he felt his tears going away. He felt numb and relieved. It always felt good to cry even if everyone thought he was too sensitive.
A soft knock woke him up from is melancholy trance. Blue hair peaked out of the door way. His brother sat down on his bed. Shun didn't want to look at him. Knowing Ikki would notice that he had been crying. Yet that action in itself let Ikki know that Shun was crying.
"I don't know if you're awake but I hope you know that I do this for myself. I hope you don't hate me for always leaving Shun. You've gotten so big and strong. Mom would've been so proud. I've got to go now. Goodnight Shun." Ikki lamented
Shun cried some more over his brother's sad yet encouraging words. He cried happily. Until he felt himself get taken to his dreams.

Shun was suddenly in a large runic library. Each shelf full to the brim with thick chunky books. All of them of various ages. The shelves seemed endless. A maze of plant infested bookshelves.
"Boy come here you need to heed my warning!" A female voice whispered
Shun turned around there standing was a large woman with classical European clothing. A green dress with gold and black intricacies. Her curly brown hair sitting on her shoulders.
"The Lord of this land and his human lady want your body, child. The lady of darkness won't allow me to speak of what should be spoken of. Yet I have been tasked to give you a trail for their deeds." She sternly stated.
Shun looks in utter confusion. Wondering who could be up to wanting his body and mind.
" Athena will not allow this to happen miss. Who are you!? The Saints of Athena can defeat this evil!" Shun reclaimed
"It is not time for you to fight just yet boy, I will reveal my name if you drink this tea." The Large being said
" What is in the tea?" Shun asked
"It is the escape of the land of Ha-" she had been cut short by rumbling.
Shun felt fear spike up his spine. He felt the immanent danger approach. The large woman also look fearful. She handed Shun a cup of tea .
" With all the kindness of my heart I wish you to be safe, child. I know who you are meant to become and I apologize for the suffering you will have. You are Andromeda. I am Mnemosyne-" she had cut her sentence short as she forced Shun to drink the tea.
Shun felt as if he had fallen of a great hight into a pool of water. Drowning in what he used to be. Only one thing stayed in his mind and that was the name Mnemosyne.
