"Where am I? It looks like any other alleyway. How did I end up here? I don’t remember anything that happened last night…except for buying some strange tea leaves… now I'm rambling to myself-ok deep breath just one step at a time just walk out of this alleyway, it’s not that hard..."
Stepping out of the alleyway, the sun reflecting off of the skyscrapers hit her face causing her to squint her eyes tightly. "Excuse me? Can you tell me what part of New York this is.. I don't seem to recognize it..."
"New York? This is Ninjago City."
"Ninja- what? Who names their city Ninjago?"
The man gave her a funny look, looked her up and down and walked away.
"Oh god… where am I?" she stroked her ponytail looking around in the large crowd of people, "I don't know where I am… I have no idea what Ninjago is! It sounds like a place from an anime… Oh no...no no nonono.. I have to find a way out-"
She reached into her pocket and pulled out the back that had the tea leaves, but there was nothing left.
"Agh!" She started to panic and ran through the crowd frantically not knowing where to go. "I'm dreaming I have to be dreaming! Oh a fountain, I'll just jump in the fountain and wake up!" She was definitely causing a scene. People stopped to look at the girl running up and down the street, looking like a crazy person. Luckily for her since she drew the attention of half the city to her she got someone's attention who might just be able to help her.
"Hey!" Called a girl with black hair from down the street. She turned to face her, but something came over her and she did NOT want her help at all or help from the 5 other people standing behind her. But as she ran the other girl began to follow.
"Nya, what are you doing? You can't just chase her." One of them tugged her.
"Yes I can. She needs help and our job is to help people."
"Fine, let's go then."
"Hey! Stop! Come back please!" She proceeded to push through the crowd after the girl, “Wait!"
"Nope! Not today!" the girl kept running until she accidentally tripped and fell onto her face "Ow." She pushed herself up in a plank position but when she saw the blood dripping from her mouth she panicked again and her fight or flight instincts kicked in and she pushed herself up against the water fountain and held her arms in an x shape over her face.
"Hi...are you ok?"
"Mentally no."
"Yeah that's clear enough," a blonde in the back muttered.
"Sorry if we scared you..."
"I mean chasing me though the streets is pretty scary but- I'll stop talking now." She stopped suddenly when she realized she realized she was being rude
"Did you knock out your tooth or something when you fell? Your whole mouth is bloody." the blonde one asked in a pretty emotionless tone of voice.
"Lloyd! That's just gonna scare her more!" the guy who said this seemed to be the most level headed one in Crystal's eyes since he was wasn't crowding over her like everyone else was… then someone else caught her eye she wasn't sure what to think of him. He looked like the tin man from The Wizard of Oz but also like a boyband member at the same time.
The blonde one crouched down next to the girl with back hair "Can I just see what's going on with all the blood-"
"No-" the girl held her hands out in front of her keeping a distance between the boy and her.
Something strange happened as she lifted up her hands in defense, and everyone on that block could see.
"Holy fu-"
The blue one elbowed the red one with the spiky hair.
"Holy fudge." he corrected himself.
"Why am I making water float…? WHY AM I MAKING WATER FLOAT?!" The girl looked down at her hands and started shaking them attempting to "shake off the water" but she froze the water and it dropped onto the ground as it shattered into ice crystals.
"Nya, Kai?...do you have a long lost sister or something?" The blonde asked.
"No..." Nya said slowly.
"I mean you all have the same-ish nose." The guy in the blue jacket joked.
"Jay, that has nothing to do with it." The fire guy rolled his eyes.
"Yes it does! You could be related!"
"I seriously doubt that." The tin man walked closer to the girl to try to examine her.
The blonde fiddled with his hands and stood up, "This is definitely going to sound startling but...would you mind coming back to our back to our...base? Just to see why you are controlling water?"
"Base?! Nuh uh no way, no way in hell am I gonna do that. I need to get home."
"We can help you home too, I promise." He held out his hand to help her up. Nya, the black haired girl stood up and stepped out of the way.
The girl hesitated and took his hand, standing up.
"I'm Lloyd, by the way...this is Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, and Nya."
"Hi.." Crystal waved to them shyly, "I'm Crystal."
"Well, Crystal, we'll get you home to your family in no time."
"That's nice. I would very much like to go home, no offense to you. Also take your time… no one is waiting for me." Crystal laughed awkwardly
"Oh?"
"No honestly it's kinda funny, I can make all the jokes about dads and moms and stuff about not having one of course."
"Ha! Lloyd doesn’t have them either." Jay commented.
"Jay, please shut up." Kai elbowed him in his ribs.
"Let's go then? Are you ok coming back with us?" Nya asked.
"Oh yeah, sure I'll go. I mean if this will be the first step of getting me home then yeah let's go! Um, you'll just have to give me a second to lie down...I uh..." Crystal suddenly collapsed and face planted again.
"Oh shit...we really need to get her back now."
