Work Text:
The cliff before the quarry wasn't right above the water. There was a slight, slight chance to fall on a stalagmite and get impaled to death. That almost happened once. Peter Gordon was having fun, jocking around with one of his, few, friends. The only one who agreed to see him without any mean to ask something in exchange. Most times he was simply asking to pay stuff for them, cigarettes, chewing gums ect... Or, it had happened once, more natural things, sex. He accepted since he first thought it was sincere but he later learned that Victor didn't necessarily care to have a relationship with him. This time Peter was sure of it Belch was simply there to have a bit of fun during the hot summer. They were there for about an hour now, joking around, listening to the music on Reginald's boombox and chatting about anything and everything :
- So you're telling that you left your girl over a bet ?
-Yeah, I'm not proud of it, but eh what is done is done and i don't necessarily regret it. She wasn't a great girlfriend anyway.
- Really, what happened ?
- Well she always insisted we needed to be a perfect couple, never do silly stuff and just, she was plain boring y'know ?
Reginald laughed a bit, lifting himself from the ground they were laying on into a sitting position.
- I mean, maybe she not regretting anything either since you've been single ever since.
- That's not true, i haven't been in a relationship ever since,but i've had fun !
Peter sitted also to stare the tall boy in the eyes as a way to prove his statement.
- Yeah ? With who ?
-Victor.
Belch looked at him in shock before getting up and walking in circles.
- You. And Vic ...?
- Yeah... i'm bisexual.
Peter answered hesitantly.
- Well yeah i could have guessed that, i'm just surprised Victor would agree to fuck you...
Peter attached a suprised look on his face at how unphased Reg was by his bisexuality.
-...Don't look at me like that, you're not the only bi guy on hearth you know Pete.
Peter go up at his turn in a challenging manner.
- Ha! Yeah and who else do you know who's bi ?
- Me, myself sir !
Reg said, stepping swiftly towards the more skittish boy making him retreat toward the precipice without realizing it. He only returned to reality when his foot stepped into the pit, his whole body following through the fall that his demise could be provoqued by. Peter was sure to pass from that right then and there. He closed his eyes, waiting on his inevitable death. When he got grasped by his shoulders abruptly. His eyes flickered a bit before opening completely in disbelief. And that's when it hit him. His thick dark brown strands of hair sliding infront of his forehead and slightly hooded green eyes filled to the brim with expression. And his arms, so strong yet sturdy and precise, holding his life in his large hands. Reginald Huggins was terribly attractive with an heroic stature and, in the perception of the rescued he could lift mountains and bury lakes.
Belch kept a grip on his shoulder even after putting him back on land, making sure that he was undeniably safe and sound.
- You're okay ?
He asked with something worried in his voice but not quite present enough to be scared. The situation was under his control but he was aware that it could have flipped.
Peter didn't answer him but instead jumped and slid his arms around his neck, gluing his face against his pectoral.
Peter's curls rubbing against his neck keeping him from drifting away. No one was usually this affectionate with him and certainly not thankful. He kept his hands on Peter's waist, feeling him quiver a bit, partly from being on his tip toes but also from the shock he must have encountered. He felt himself blushing a bit, Peter was cute in a way ever so subtle Reginald never considered him romantically even when they overshared their secrets and everything dear to them. Eventually they separated.
- Yeah, I'm okay. Thank you Reg, you saved my life.
Peter didn't let him answer. He kissed his cheek, took the bag he brang and ran away, leaving Reginald alone and red hot , confused and feeling fuzzy.
