Point of view: Ethan
My name is Ethan Winters, a simple independent software programmer, I'm 25 years old and I live in Washington DC, sometimes I do some work as a private investigator to get some extra money 💸. On 02/06/2014 my girlfriend Mia, who was watching over as a “nanny” was hired to take care of a girl during a cruise trip, but something inexplicable happened on the ship, which caused her to mysteriously disappear. As soon as I found out what happened, I did everything we could to help the police locate Mia, but unfortunately there were no results, no leads were found and like many other cases the incident was forgotten. Well, until today, on 04/10/2017 an email was sent to me through Mia's account, that in itself already triggered a danger alarm inside me, but even so, it opened and then I saw her completely dirty and scared telling me that she lied to me and that I shouldn't go looking for her, I was extremely happy to know that she was alive but also with hatred for being deceived by her.
Even though I felt betrayed by her, I couldn't sit still and do nothing, so I went to check where the e-mail was sent from and that's when I discovered that it had come from Louisiana more specifically from a small town called Jackson City from the house of Mr. Margarete Becker, a couple of philanthropists who liked to live their lives in a simple and quiet way. The couple had two children, Lucas and Zoe Becker, Lucas was considered a prodigy and a genius in many different areas, winner of several science fairs across the country. Zoe, a girl who apparently couldn't fit in many things different from her brother, an excellent fighter - hand-to-hand practitioner of jiu-jitsu and karate since she was 7 years old, has participated in several championships across the country.
After a week of investigation I decided to go to Louisiana on my own and without the help of the local police, don't I feel like working as a team even more on a case involving my girlfriend? I don't even know if I can still call it that, after packing my suitcase with my trusty M1911, which belonged to my grandfather who fought during World War II alongside it, and also my Combat Knife, as well as some clothes and cash. Soon after I headed to the airport.
During the trip I continued to research possible clues that would help me find Mia, during the research I ended up entering the Stanford University database looking for which subject Mia specialized in, what I found surprised me apparently she graduated in Biotechnology , this took me by surprise since she had told me that she did pedagogy.
When I finished collecting the data, I was already 40 minutes away from the hotel I booked. On the way from the airport to here, I took a taxi and took the opportunity to ask some questions, through this conversation I discovered that mysterious disappearances had been taking place since 2014.
Already at the hotel, after a long shower, I throw myself on the bed for a well deserved rest, while lying there I could only imagine what must have happened to Mia for her to disappear like that and only return now. Honestly, after so long, the love I once felt for her is no longer a bonfire, but a small ember, but I was never one to run away from challenges, so if I find her again, I will try to rekindle the flame that once existed between us. .
The next morning, after sleep I decided to go straight to the Beckers' mansion in case it would just be a reconnaissance mission, what I found just on the outskirts of the mansion made all my hair stand on end and my instinct screamed, the entrance was completely deserted and full of flies, but the worst was yet to come. After 10 minutes walking I saw the body of a cow completely destroyed and made of a bizarre sculpture, I couldn't take it anymore and threw up all my breakfast.
After that I decided to return to the hotel to rest and try to process what I had seen, honestly I had no idea what was happening in that place, but I knew it was not a good thing.
