Hot.
A hot afternoon.
The beach never felt so hot, the waves looks like boiling water, the blood over the blonde's head is dripping down
A cracked watch on her right hand as her left arm rests through her stomach, the shade was nothing but a small palm tree, quite cooling
She kept on breathing, thinking it'll be her last, unfortunately she's inevitable from it or can't die just yet.
She's being watched, her feelings were perceptible by at the matter, the water seemed to cool by now, but there was something below the surface
The blonde met eye contact with the one whose eyes were sapphire, it's eyes kept on dilating, curiosity pursued the creature and isn't backing away at all
As the blonde moved her hand, it flinched as it was ready to swim away, she reminded silent for such a sight
"Hey there.. A little help?" she greeted, she was caught on by a cough of blood, It still sat below but it seems like there's something rising showing by the back of it.
It's shark tail, the fin looks sewed and the other has been chewed off, no history for that
Is this really the end for her? To get eaten by a shark? No, not exactly.
But at least she knew what it was now.
It seems to waver its tail left to right, it's still staying down below, she was amused by the shark's behavior, but it doesn't stop from there
Slowly it's head poking out of the water, snow white hair like the moon could ever reflect it, hues of blue tips that follow the colors of the water, but still the eyes of sapphire still illuminated through
What creature has she ever witnessed, this shark has made her feel things by just her appearance, there's just something about it.
"Don't worry" she consoled, "I'm Harmless." as she spoke, the shark's face slowly softens as the blonde spoke to her
This time the shark crawled, to the surface stepping in every inch closer, the blonde was cautious about it and sweated
The shark's body looks petite but her blue faded claws are quite in the opposite, 3 aligned lines moving her gills perhaps and finally the shark fin from her back looks more noticeable
Their face was close to inches, the shark was curious and wanted to investigate further to the human she was looking at, while the blonde was there staring eye to eye with her
Her breathing was shaky but the shark's were steady.
"I Gura, I Shark" She introduced herself, seems like her human language lessons paid off and felt proud, the blonde was at first shocked but then was lingered by her voice
"Gura you say?" she wasn't sure to herself if she's daydreaming, Gura nodded, it wasn't a daydream from the first place at all
"Who you?" Gura questioned, of course this made the blonde look at the other way drastically
"Short the distance first shark, I can't say something at this situation" She commanded, Gura was confused why she didn't used her name but yet followed her words
Finally they were sitting face to face with each other, even though the blonde head was struggling due to the immense bleeding right to her skull, and the clueless shark right in front of her.
"My name is Amelia Watson" She said gleefully, Gura really like her name that her tail started to wag slowly
"A-me.." Gura tried, but it pinned down to Amelia by the sudden like her heart was blooming
"Ame!" She happily said as she pounced to Amelia close, her tail wagging immensely but receiving such nickname really has it big
Her teeth looks sharp, Amelia thought she was really interested about the shark girl she met by now, but her watch gotta matter first
Gura tilted her head not knowing what to do Amelia's actions we're being confusing, she was fixing some trinket to her hand, Gura watched but felt very bored
Amelia finally fixed it, but she didn't wanna leave Gura behind, she couldn't find a reason why would she at least
She was finding a timeline that was just perfect for her, at least inhabitable, this was one of the few universes that the Amelia here never existed, her original timeline was destroyed and was pointless anyway to live in.
Amelia looked around with her head, a beach without people, well isn't it great.
Gura only just noticed her wounds, she was too busy investigating her that she didn't knew she was bleeding, luckily she got a few tricks in her sleeves
"I Help!" Gura happily said, it Amelia looked back at the shark
"How so?" She questioned
Gura put her hand through the blonde's head, Amelia was left confused
Moments later her wounds healed, she was fascinated by such work of the shark, it was unbelievable for her
Amelia suddenly stood up, Gura was backed by the sudden reaction of her and probably gave the wrong idea, Amelia never felt so better and wanted to thank the shark girl
But it seemed like she went back to where she belonged. It only left her and the beach, the wind was cool and even if it were just minutes she longed to see Gura once again.
A year passed and there was a yellow wooden house beside the sea with a porch beside the beach. It might be dangerous but yet so pleasing.
It was sunset
There in the porch Amelia looked back hoping to see that same sapphire eyes, she wouldn't mind even if it was another daydream or neither it wasn't, that memory of hers was struck pass her head
She got a full-time gig as a detective working around, it was a day off, it was nice
But when she looked down once in the sea again there it was that same shark looking at her poking head beneath the ocean waves.
Amelia smiled down, as Gura watched the detective fondly.
