Chapter Text
The sun peeks through the curtain, illuminating Yoongi’s face as Hoseok stared at him fondly. His fingers traced Yoongi’s face, memorizing his pretty features with each stroke of his wrist. Yoongi scrunched his nose softly when a piece of hair fell over his face, sighing even softer when Hoseok tucked the loose strand behind his ear.
“Time to wake up, Lavender.” Hoseok whispered, pecking the corner of his lover's mouth, then his cheek before he kissed his forehead. Yoongi’s eyes fluttered open, a gummy smile making its way to his lips.
“Good morning, my Heart.” Yoongi mumbled sleepily, pouting his lips for Hoseok to kiss him. And kiss him he did, leaning in without hesitation. Yoongi hummed happily, pulling away with a silly grin. “Have I ever told you how much I love your lips?”
“Only about five times a day.” Hoseok says, leaning in again. Yoongi laid back, pulling him in with a hand behind his neck and the other on his bicep. Hoseok deepens the kiss with a slight tilt of his head, tongue pushing through his lover's lips as he moans in delight.
“ Mmm — we need to stop, I have to get Sarang up.” Yoongi says, yet he continues to kiss his lover. Hoseok smiles against his mouth, dialing back from getting Yoongi riled up.
“Go get our baby, Dada.” Hoseok teases, patting Yoongi on the bum as he watches him leave the room. Not even five minutes go by and he could already hear quick footsteps coming towards his room.
“Appa!” Sarang runs through the door. Hoseok holds his arms out for her to run into. She giggles loudly, cuddling into his side while they watch a stern Yoongi walk in. “Help~” she whispers, biting back a giggle.
“Here comes the cuddle monster!” Yoongi shouts, jumping on both Hoseok and Sarang before embracing them tightly. Sarang lets out a series of giggles, wrapping her tiny arms around Yoongi’s neck as he blows raspberries on her cheeks. “My love. Dada loves you so much.”
“Sarang loves Dada and Appa too.”
“What shall we do today, Princess?” Hoseok asks, making himself comfortable. Yoongi grabs his hand and places it over his waist.
“I want to watch the princess and the frog!” Sarang says enthusiastically, jumping out of the lover’s arms and bouncing on the bed. She chanted the name loudly, spinning around like a princess with a dress on.
Yoongi made them all some pancakes, telling Hoseok and Sarang to wash up before they ate. They didn’t wash up at all, but they did make a pillow fort in their living room so Yoongi let it slide. He began to tidy down the kitchen, their movie snacks already been set in their fort before he grabbed their matching pajamas.
Everything is perfect , Yoongi thinks. If He could go back in time, he would definitely relive his life with Hoseok.
☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️
The first time Yoongi met Hoseok was in the beginning of winter. He was on his way back to the men's dormitory when the latter had accidentally bumped into him, spilling scorching hot chocolate all over his coat and notes. Hoseok was quite jumpy, quickly whipping out a small handkerchief from his pocket before wiping the hot chocolate from Yoongi’s coat, a million apologies spilling from his lips. From that day forward, Yoongi found the boy quite endearing.
It wasn’t until the night of his friend's annual christmas gathering did he see him again. Among the six people there, including Yoongi himself, Hoseok was the one who stood out the most with his heartfelt smile and radiant laugh. Yoongi found himself smiling a lot more than usual, trying his best to cover it up when Namjoon had pointed it out. Hoseok did remember him, another set of apologies spewing from his mouth, but Yoongi simply waved him off, A gummy smile revealing itself when Hoseok stopped sputtering.
The two began to hit it off, sitting in their own little corner as they laughed the night away. Yoongi was ecstatic, letting Hoseok play with the hems of his sweater paws as they talked about everything. Hoseok shared his love for dance, passion exploding in his irises as he talked. Yoongi let him speak, listening to every syllable that falls past those heart shaped lips. He decided that from that day onward, Hoseok would be someone very dear to his heart.
“Go out with me.” Hoseok said. Yoongi stares at him with the widest eyes, a blush adorning his cheeks. It’s two months into the winter season, Christmas just around the corner as the campus is decorated with ornaments and fake snow.
“I don’t know… My last relationship was a total mess. I need some time to think” Yoongi replies, but that didn’t take Hoseok’s determined look off his face. Instead, it seemed even more determined than when he approached Yoongi in the first place. Hoseok grabs one of his gloved hands and intertwines it with his own.
“You don’t have to give me an answer yet, I can wait.” He brought Yoongi’s hand to his lips and pecked it. Yoongi almost immediately blushes, covering half of his face with his scarf. He has to bite back a smile when Hoseok takes him out for coffee.
Jealousy sucks. Yoongi had never felt this way before and he hopes he never feels that way again. He begins to feel insecure when Hoseok brings one of his friends to Namjoon and Jimin’s Home, a smile plastered on his features as he introduces them to everyone. Yoongi couldn’t help but compare himself to the guy. He was much taller, much more handsome and his personality matched with Hoseok’s. It’s Christmas eve and he already feels left out.
“Yoongi, I want you to meet my friend.” Hoseok says, tugging Yoongi closer by his sweater paw. He seemed to have an obsession with Yoongi’s sweater paws. “Yoongi, this is my good friend, Taehyung.” Yoongi gives him a short nod before taking his spot on the single couch in the corner. He watched Hoseok laugh and talk with everyone, looking so beautiful with the Christmas lights glowing against his skin. He could spend his life in this sweet surrender. (Anyone get the reference?)
He didn’t even notice Hoseok approaching him before he was gently pulled up from his seat and taken outside to the porch, a whine escaping his lips from the loss of warmth. Hoseok held his hips, trying to catch his gaze when he kept turning his head.
“You’ve been sulking all night, my sweet lavender.”
“Lavender?” Yoongi’s eyes are shining under the moonlight, slightly glossy from the cool winter breeze. Hoseok pulls him in tighter, a sweet smile plastered on his features when Yoongi averted his gaze shyly. “That's new.”
“It suits you.” Hoseok whispers, leaning his head on Yoongi’s while they watch the town glow with the many Christmas lights. “Why have you been sulking all night?”
“It’s stupid.” Yoongi mumbles, digging his face in Hoseok’s chest. Hoseok pulled away gently, dragging Yoongi towards the porch swing to sit down.
“Tell me.”
“I’m serious, it’s really dumb.”
“Lavender.” Hoseok said more sternly, yet his voice was still soft as he caressed Yoongi’s knuckles. Yoongi let out a breath, the air turning white once it left his mouth. Yoongi mumbled something under his breath, causing Hoseok to tell him to speak up a bit.
“I just felt a little left out is all. Nothing big.”
“Nothing big?” Hoseok lifts his chin up, giving him a serious look before continuing. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“That wasn’t all…” Yoongi swallows his pride, staring right into Hoseok’s eyes. A blush began to creep up his face once again, coloring his cheeks a pretty vibrant pink. “I was actually a little jealous that you were talking to your friend instead of me. I’m sorry, it’s childish—
“You were jealous..?”
“Yes…”
“Of Taehyung?”
“I know it sounds dumb—
“ Oh Lavender! ” Hoseok throws his arms around Yoongi, the hug tightening by the second. Yoongi takes a moment to catch his breath before timidly wrapping his arms around the other as well. Hoseok rocks the two of them excitedly, giggling loudly. “It’s not dumb at all.”
“Really?”
“Actually, it is a tiny bit.” Hoseok giggled louder when Yoongi pulled away a turned around in his arms. “Taehyung has the hots for Namjoon and Jimin, so he asked if he could tag along to their gathering as a plus one.”
“He’s just a friend?” Yoongi asks, getting a nod in response. He sighs out a breath of relief, leaning back on the porch swing before relaxing his limbs. Hoseok did the same, letting his legs spread comfortably. “That’s reassuring, I guess.”
“Do you have a little crush on me, Lavander?” Hoseok leans in to his side, bumping their shoulders together. Yoongi choked on his spit, starting up a series of coughs and choking sounds. Once he calmed down his cheeks tinted with that pretty pink Hoseok has come to love.
“I will not answer that question.”
“Then I’m just going to assume that you do.” Hoseok said, smiling goofily before leaning back once again. The two sat in a comfortable silence, listening to the sounds of their friends music and light laughter from the inside. A snow drop fell in front of their eyes. Then another. Soon their yard was dotted with piles of snow. The first snow of the season.
If you watch the first snow with a person you like, the love will last forever.
“Would you like to dance?” Hoseok stood up and held his hand out.
“Right now?”
“Yes.”
“You’re out of your damn mind.” Yoongi said, taking his hand with a gummy smile. Hoseok pulled him in, a hand snaking around Yoongi’s waist while the other trailed his hand up his shoulder. They danced the night away, holding eachother closely as they listened to the song from inside.
I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life
❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️
“Where are you taking me?” Yoongi asks when Hoseok tells their friends that they are leaving. He was still dazed from their little dance under the snow, letting his hand relax in Hoseok’s soft hold.
“I want to show you something.” They walked through the streets, the only source of light being the street lamps. They talked and laughed about everything and anything, basking in each other's warmth as Hoseok leans himself on Yoongi whilst the other pretends to cringe. The two ended up in a tire yard, the snow getting thicker by the minute.
“What’s this place?”
“I used to come here every winter with my sister. She would drag one of the biggest tires we could find to the top of that little slope and slide down with me.” Hoseok says, a fond smile on his face at the memory. Yoongi nods along, helping Hoseok find a tyre.
“That’s really sweet.”
“She would really like you, you’re cute and funny.” Hoseok squeezed his cheek, causing Yoongi to groan and push his hand away. After a little more teasing, Hoseok rolled their tyre up the small hill, panting dramatically once they reached the top. “Usually we would have a rope to hold on to. But we can just hug each other tightly and hope for the best.”
“I don’t know, Hoseok-ah. is this even safe?” Yoongi asked, staring at the bottom of the hill dreadfully. He was placed in Hoseok’s lap since Hoseok was ‘A professional at this’.
“Trust me on this, Lavender.” Hoseok says before he pushes the both of them forward. Hoseok laughs loudly as the tyre slides down the hill fast. Yoongi leans back on Hoseok, trying to get some grounding before letting out a loud laugh.
“Again! Again!” Yoongi shouts once they reach the bottom. Before Hoseok could even let out a reply, Yoongi was already rolling the tyre up the hill. They went at it for another half an hour.
“Hmm, tell me about yourself.” Yoongi says, seated sideways in Hoseok’s lap, playing with his hoodie strings. Hoseok has his arm wrapped tightly around Yoongi’s waist, pretending to be in thought.
“What do you want to know?”
“Anything. The things that make you happy, sad, angry. I want to know the real you.” Yoongi glances up shyly before looking back down at his fingers. Hoseok has to hold back from kissing him stupidly.
“Well, I love to dance. I have a distinct fear of bugs and creepy crawlies.” Yoongi lets out a soft laugh at that. “I hate the sticky feeling of sweat, or when I see flowers dwindling after being dehydrated for a long time. One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone chews loudly.”
“Interesting.”
“What about you, Lavender?” Hoseok nudges his side.
“Me?” A nod. “My life isn’t all that interesting, believe me.”
“Errr, Not true.” Hoseok makes a buzzing noise, causing Yoongi to stare at him with confusion. “Your smile alone is my best interest.”
“My smile?”
“Lavender, do I need to get you a mirror for Christmas?” Hoseok asks. “Have you seen yourself? You’re beautiful.”
“You’re just saying that.”
“I’m not just saying that, Lavender. I’m embracing it as well, which is something you need to do.” Hoseok stops Yoongi from playing with his hoodie strings. He brings a fingertip to his chin and averts Yoongi’s gaze towards himself. “Now tell me, Lavender. What makes you happy?”
“I-I love music. I love how you can find music everywhere in the world. I want to produce music, not only to become rich, but so I can become something big in the music industry.” Yoongi says all in one breath, speaking fast. “I want to see my name on billboards so people can see me and think ‘if he can do it, so can I,” Hoseok just stares at Yoongi silently, watching as he catches his breath. “What? Is there something on my face?”
“Passion looks beautiful on you.” Hoseok whispers, just loud enough for Yoongi to catch. And Yoongi? He falls even more in love with him. He’s happy. He could get used to this.
❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️
Their first kiss is slow. Shy smiles being shared as they lean their foreheads against each other. The sound of fireworks is loud, yet the only sounds they could hear was the beat of their hearts once they connected their lips again. Yoongi is absolutely over the moon, pulling away teasingly before leaving quick pecks over Hoseok’s soft lips.
“You taste like love.” Hoseok says against Yoongi’s lips, tilting his head to leave his own little pecks. Yoongi giggles into his mouth, pulling back just enough to look Hoseok in the eye.
“I think I dreamed you into life.” Yoongi says, grinning.
“Did you just quote Savage Garden?”
“Maybe.”
“ Oh Lavender .” Hoseok kisses him again, feeling lightheaded when Yoongi kisses back.
❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️
“Lavender, why are you crying?” Hoseok asks, wrapping his arms around Yoongi’s waist. Sarang was currently in a sugar coma, passed out after watching her favorite princess movie. He placed his chin on Yoongi’s shoulder, trying his best not to get emotional. “I hate it when you’re upset, my love.”
“It’s nothing.” Yoongi smiles, wiping the tears away. “I was just thinking back to the time we met in college. We were so young and in love.”
“We were, weren’t we?”
“Remember the first time we danced together?” Yoongi says, turning around in Hoseok’s arms. “It was snowing and we were so out of our heads that night.”
“I remember. You were a terrible dancer.” Hoseok teases, earning himself a slap on the shoulder. He belts out a loud laugh, swaying both him and Yoongi from side to side. “But your smile made up for your lack of experience.”
“I did not lack experience!” Yoongi hisses. “My ass was freezing and I couldn’t move properly.”
“Excuses aren’t going to save you this time, Lavender.” Hoseok says before rocking Yoongi in a little dance motion. “I knew I loved you before I met you~”
“I think I dreamed you into life~” Yoongi sings back, wrapping his arms around his lover. The two dance for the rest of their morning. It was a very cold winter day, yet their Love is what kept their warmth alive.
-End.
