Work Text:
Goldet sighed and rested her chin on her knee, her mind buzzing with new theories and story ideas for her higher-ups in the akademi. Though she heard approaching footsteps. Light footsteps. Oh great. Goldet looked back at the person, only to see the very person she liked.
"Hello, Goldie. What brings you here?"
Korai stood behind the latter, gesturing at the place they were in; atop a platform of the castle-like school that the Scholar studied for while at the same time, gazing up at the stars that shined so brightly against the deep, navy blue and black canvas.
"Well, since I'm a scholar at the Akademi I don't need to explain myself."
Korai hummed in response, the venom laced in the sentence leaving her no actual choice. Her gentle eyes stayed focused on the stars above the duo while the latter stared at her.
Goldet followed Korai's gaze after a while, the stars only worsening her already trashy mood.
"They're not real."
"Pardon me?"
"The stars. They're fake."
Korai hummed again, eyes flickering and spotting different constellations within the shower of lights above them.
Goldet prepared to say something before her words failed her, making so she could only stay there, staring at the stars with the very person she wished to be with always, no matter the price.
Korai grinned then pulled out her polearm, the magic energy projecting into the weapon she had a grip on as she then held it up into the sky, making a slash in the air above them as a beautiful image made of pure elemental energy formed where she had cut the fabric of reality, as if it was just jelly under a flaming kitchen knife.
Goldet could only stare at the image above her in shock, the next few words said by the opposite making her feel something she hadn't before. She felt as if her heart was a newly created seed, blooming in early spring and turning into a lovely and warm flower while making the faint tint of red brush onto her pale cheeks.
What she had said?
"Then I'll recreate the sky for you, just to make you happy"
