Beidou let her knuckles knock gently against the door of Ningguang's dorm before entering the room. She didn't expect an answer since the girl was always deep in her studies, often listening to music. The brunette peered in to see Ningguang asleep at her desk, a pen still resting in her hand and her mouth drooling a bit on the paper she was writing. Her black headphones crookedly resting on her head.
Beidou sighed with a smile tugging at her lips, almost tempted to take a picture of the sight before her. Instead, she placed a gentle hand against the blonde's back, rubbing small, comforting circles. "Wake up, love. Your back is going to hurt if you keep sleeping like this."
Ningguang made a sleepy groan to complain and didn't budge. Beidou just rolled her eyes and smiled. As she pulled off her headphones, she carefully embraced the sleepy blonde and lifted her up to carry her to the nearby bed. She pressed a kiss against her forehead as Ningguang softly nuzzled into her shoulder. Beidou felt warm as she looked down at the girl resting in her arms. She couldn't get used to how vulnerable Ningguang was with her.
Beidou laid down the blonde on the tiny dormitory bed. She sat at the edge of the bed for a moment, rubbing one of Ningguang's hands, "You must stop overworking yourself this much. We've been over this."
The words of concern only came out as a whisper. Despite her worry, she didn't want to wake her. She left a small kiss against the back of Ningguang's hand and left her to rest.
As she got up, Beidou felt a tug at her shirt. Ningguang's now open eyes sleepily stared at
Beidou as her hand reached out to stop her from leaving. The blonde patted the bed and moved over slightly, giving them just enough room to share the mattress.
Beidou nodded and slipped off her boots so she wouldn't dirty the bed. She carefully laid down, avoiding any loose strands of Ningguang's long, messy hair and wrapped her arm around her girlfriend. Ningguang buried her face into her chest. Beidou felt a small kiss against her collarbone. The brunette simply smiled as she felt her girlfriend's breath against her chest as she slowly drifted back to sleep.
