The sun rose slowly over the two of them and it felt like they were in a own world. Their legs tangled together underneath the sheets and it was almost as if nothing could separate them apart.
“I can’t believe we’re married,” Ajax whispered softly, smiling at his wife.
Lumine faced him and propped herself up on one elbow. she smiled sweetly back at him, taking in his features before leaning in for a kiss. It wasn't quick or passionate but rather slow and loving. Lumine pressed her lips against his softly, sighing contentedly. “Me neither.”
Ajax couldn’t stop himself from grinning widely as he stared into his wife’s eyes. Lumine giggled and kissed him again. This time it was deeper than before, her hands resting on the sides of his face as her fingers toyed with hair at his neck. Ajax could feel her breath on his face and that only made him kiss harder. she pulled away, laughing breathlessly. “Ajax, let’s get up”
Ajax pouted as he watched his wife climb out of bed. He was not ready for their day ahead of them. “What? i’m comfy” Ajax whined, curling back up under the sheets.
“Come on baby, I'm starving and I miss your cooking,” Lumine replied, tugging lightly at his arm.
Ajax groaned a bit and rolled over. “It's not fair, you only call me baby if you need something,” he huffed.
“So you want me to call you baby all the time?” Lumine asked her pouting husband.
“Yes!” Ajax exclaimed loudly. He sat up and leaned against the headboard, crossing his arms over his chest stubbornly.
“Alright Baby, can you cook our breakfast today, pretty please?” She came back to his side and rubbed his arms.
Ajax sighed dramatically, looking down at his wife with an adoring expression. He knew that he couldn’t make any more eye contact than this and it was cute how much effort it took to get him to comply with her wishes.
They went to the kitchen and Ajax started to prepare for the food. Lumine stood behind her husband while he was cooking the food. She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his back. She closed her eyes and listened to the soft rhythm of his heartbeat.
It was moments like these that she loved so dearly, just being able to hold him in her arms without anything else to worry about. They had been together since forever and although they fought like a pair of wild cats sometimes, they always made up once they realized how in love they really were.
“Alright baby, now come sit down so we can eat,” Ajax finally finished making the food.
Lumine smiled brightly and slid onto the seat next to him before turning her attention to the plate he placed in front of her. It had pancakes smothered with strawberry syrup, cinnamon sticks sticking up out of the center. She picked up a fork and poked one of the sticks, smiling softly. “They look really good” she complimented, looking up at ajax.
“Thanks Babe!” he chuckled and kissed her cheeks, picking one of the pancakes from the top of the stack. “Do you want me to feed you?” Ajax asked and winked playfully.
Lumine shook her head quickly, setting the fork down on her plate. “No thanks, Babe. I don’t want to disturb you any more,” she responded and ajax smiled warmly,
“You could never do that, Lumine.” He took her hand in his own, rubbing his thumb against the inside of her wrist. The movement was slow and rhythmic. It made Lumine smile as Ajax continued to stare at her.
“Why do you look at me like that?” she asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Like what? Like you are my life source and everything i’ve ever wished for in my whole life? ” Ajax teased, trying to get some sort of reaction from his love. She blushed softly and looked away. She squeezed his hand gently and he smiled.
The rest of the morning went by slowly. Lumine stayed close to ajax throughout the entire meal, occasionally stealing bites of his food. Ajax would laugh and try to steal some of hers but she would always dodge his attempts. After breakfast, ajax helped Lumine clean up the kitchen. He washed the dishes and dried them off while she put everything away. Later, they sat on the bench in their backyard and felt the sun on their skin as they teased each other.
