Dop·pel·gang·er
/ˈdäpəlˌɡaNGər/
noun
an apparition or double of a living person
That's what Dusk was.
Dusk wasn't your average cookie, well, not every cookie was average. But in this context, this was different.
Dusk isn't actually Dusk, more of something pretending to be them. Acting like them, talking like them, it's like they stole the actual Dusk's life and everything, as if they haven't died months back. And no one knew.
Except themselves.
They killed the original in cold blood, ate the body and left the house they were in. The next day, Dusk was around. Well, "Dusk". People didn't suspect a thing, since they acted so similar to the original that it was hard to guess what had happened.
And to anyone who did, they didn't really stick around for long.
Dusk made sure of it.

Present time.
It was getting late, Dusk has been around, walking. The snow was terrible, as they powered their way through it, through the snowy dark forest.
It was strange, most cookies would've froze in the forest or looked for a nearby village for shelter until the morning. Dusk didn't.
Most cookies would've either assumed they loved the freezing temperatures, could actually withstand it, or something was off.
The wind was blowing hard, as that and the sound of Dusk's boots crunching under their shoes could be heard.
Their blue raspberry color hair had bits of snow in it, as they had the same poker facial expression on. They were a pale cookie, with their gave completely blacked out, only their eyes showed. It was a cyan color, bright cyan. Their hair was short and fluffy, similar to Strawberry Crepe Cookie's hair, and started as a light blue which slowly fades down to a raspberry blue. They had a cloak on to keep them warm, and has more of a "downtown" style. They kept their eyes open, alert.
Then, something snapped. Dusk stops in their tracks, letting the wind blow on them. It sounded like s branch, a twig not too far. Dusk looked around, and seeing nothing they continued their walk.
They felt uneasy, as if they were being watched..

And they were. By two people actually; Poison Mushroom cookie, and Dark Choco cookie. They were sent by Pomegranate cookie after she had a vision; of a mysterious cookie who could be someone after killing them. This was intriguing to her, knowing it would gain favoritism from Dark Enchantress.
“Oooooh, do you think thaat'ss them?” Poison mushroom said, looking at Dusk. “Most likely ” Dark Choco said. “So, how do we approach thisss? Do we give them shroomiess?” Poison Mushroom said, giving a little laugh at the end. Dark Choco sighs. “No, we just need to take them and bring them to Pomegranate” he says. Poison Mushroom nods.
They simply watched, watched how Dusk seem to shuffle away, slowly picking back up the pace. They watched them head out of the forest, despite the freezing temperatures. Surprisingly Posion Mushroom nor Dark Choco we're cold, it's like they were prepared for anything like this.
And boy did it come in handy.

They both head back to Pomegranate cookie, who was bickering with Licorice as usual. “We bring newss!” Posion Mushroom says, smiling. Licorice and Pomegranate stops, looking at the two. “Go on then” Pomegranate says. “They were heading to the kingdom, and just as you described, I believe it's them that you described” Dark Choco says. “Ha! See Licorice, if you were so loyal to our master you too could be right about predictions.” Pomegranate says, smiling proudly. Licorice wanted to say a rebuttal, but Pomegranate lifts her mirror to block his mouth. “Bring them over, by all means and in any ways possible ” Pomegranate says. “If you need any assistance, you can have Licorice or Red Velvet help you ” Pomegranate says, with a sly smile as she walked off..
“Me?!” Licorice says, before feeling a pat on his hand. He looks down and sees Poison Mushroom, smiling. “You'll be fineeee” they say. Licorice nods. “Its still rude that she would sent out me however!” he protests, huffing.

Dusk enters the cookie kingdom, heading to a nearby motel for shelter. They pay for a room, heading up the stairs and into it.
It was damp and cold, and the smell was something. But it was temporary, at least to take shelter from the winter storm. They take their cloak off, closing the curtains to the window before actually getting comfortable.
It was an odd feeling, like they've been watched or something. But even so, that didn't stop them.
Their eyes felt heavy as soon as they laid on the bed. They curl up and dose off, not even bothered to turn the lights off.
