=-=-=-=-=-=-=Walking the hallways with Dipper=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Dipper sighed as he walked down the hallway. He has been seeking a quiet place to study for the past half hour now and has yet to find a single library that was.
Apparently, these kids were so rich, they didn’t have to follow simple courteous rules. Such as being quiet in a library. Dipper was honestly about to give up, seeing as he managed to borrow the books from the library that he needed. The librarian had honestly looked happy that someone had gone to borrow a book, rather than just chatting with their friends. Dipper kind of felt sorry for Janice the Librarian, since she had to put up with no one following the clearly stated rules, that she was forced to mention but not enforce.
Dipper tried to reason out how that worked, and Janice just smiled and gave him a hug. “Don’t bother trying sweety.”
Dipper left more confused over everything. But with the last two libraries he visited, the story was the same. The librarians weren’t as distraught as Janice, seeing as they were just ignoring everything and going about their job. Dipper could imagine them turning towards him and saying “Eh, it’s a living.” Like in a tv show.
Dipper has finally come across a quiet place, ironically, a music room on the third floor. Upon opening the door however, things looked to be a little chaotic.
Dipper wound up witnessing as a young student, the other honor roll student to be exact, looked very uncomfortable as a taller blond just shoved his way into their personal space. Dipper knew who this young student was, having sat next to her as they did the tests to enter Ouran.
Dipper had gotten to see what the young girl looked like before and was surprised by the drastic change when they showed up. Even going as far as to approach her to talk about it. Dipper had tried not to think of the worst scenarios, trying to keep his head clear, but she had explained the whole mess with the gum and everything when he showed honest concern. It somewhat allowed them to bond a little when he mentioned how his sister would have reacted if that happened to her.
An invite to study later and the two went about their day. Dipper had never expected to run into something like this, however. And seeing as the shorter girl was a friend, Dipper felt he should step in and help.
Dipper was about to speak up when the taller of the two blonds in the room, got too flirty. Dipper couldn’t see what the blond did as he put his face too close to Haruhi’s, but the girl freaked out and bumped into a stupidly placed vase on a marble display stand.
Dipper watched as Haruhi panicked and scrambled to catch the vase as it fell and failed. Given Dipper’s own quick thinking, he had reacted as she bumped into the stand. Calculating the trajectory of the vase as it began it’s decent, applying the proper level of force, he managed to kick his bag, Mable crafted with extra fluff to help with back problems with all the heavy books inside.
That extra fluff as Mable put it, was extra enough that it prevented the vase from breaking. Haruhi, along with the group of guys in the room, looked surprise at the sudden save, Haruhi also had a look of relief.
The twins were the ones to speak of first, and at the same time. “Wow, nice save.”
The blond was actually pompous enough to walk up to him and exclaim his happiness over his “heroic” act. Dipper gave the boy a deadpanned stare as he reached into his vest pocket, pulled out a sucker and offered it to him. “If I give this to you, will you promise to stay away from me, far away from me?”
Tamaki looked between the small dumdum sucker and the boy. He had no clue if he should be insulted or not. Dipper gave the boy all of a minute to consider his offer, before he shrugged. “Well, I was most likely going to leave with Haruhi anyway, so if you really don’t want the sucker.”
Tamaki crossed his arms in thought as Dipper put the sucker away and walked towards the smaller student. Retrieving his bag, he placed the vase back upon the stand. All was perfect, up until the twins decided to toy with Dipper, asking him why so cruel and all that.
Haruhi was relieved beyond anything else. She told herself she would make it up to Dipper somehow, maybe she would make the boy a lunch at some point. All that glitter looked to have annoyed him more than anything, even if he said it was edible glitter. Apparently, his sister was in charge of lunches that morning, and she loved to coat everything in it.
Dipper, after he had retrieved his bag, was about to leave, Haruhi watching the display stand like a hawk as she tried to move around it, at a safe distance. Until Tamaki took that as an invitation to explain the history of the piece, hoping to encourage his new “friend” to stay. Too bad this had the opposite effect to what he planned. Because as he placed his hand upon Haruhi’s shoulder, the poor girl grew frustrated with the pushy boy. She was seriously becoming afraid for herself the more she stayed in this room with how pushy the boy was.
Tamaki had failed in his role as the Host King, when it came to welcoming a commoner into the school. Haruhi had no idea who these people were, the only person she did know, and that was mostly just a friendly hello when they took the test to get in together, as well as some sweet concern when he noticed her drastic change in appearance. Dipper had even gone as far to introduce her to his girlfriend, who was kind enough to offer aid in helping fix her hair to look better after school.
Lunch was a nice moment with meeting two new friends, and a promise of a third with the one having a sister in the public school. Dipper didn’t live very far away from her, which means it would be easy to visit for either. Dipper warned her about Mabel’s habit of over excitedly introducing herself. Mabel would want to meet the girl, especially after she learns how cool she is.
While Haruhi denied being cool, Dipper explained that other than being rich making you snobbish, being smart, could also leave you a bit snobbish. Ford had fallen into that category for a bit when he first came through the portal. It wasn’t until he and Dipper bonded over DD and more D, that the man started to open up with him, while it took him facing defeat against a foe that his brother sacrificed his mind to defeat, that he realized what he had lost.
Ford has been bearable, but he still had his moments of intellectual rudeness. You can’t be the smartest in the room without looking like you are talking down to everyone. Until Stan reminds him that he is pushing it. People that know a lot, just need to be reminded that it is impossible to know everything.
Mabel and Pacifica are both there to keep him grounded, but back to now.
Tamaki should have kept himself in check, especially after the target showed distress. Instead, the idiot decided to double down in his excitement to greet the new student. Tamaki reminded himself of a dumber version of his sister. Mabel was at least smart enough to know when to step back, while this blond just continued to try the same thing. The definition of insanity.
Haruhi groaned as she twisted to get out of Tamaki’s hold, right into the stupid stand. This time, as Dipper stepped forward to help, he did catch the vase, but because Haruhi spun, she smacked it with her back. Haruhi wasn’t able to catch the stand as it fell this time, and Dipper was more worried about the fragile vase.
The end result was the marble pedestal falling as well, the top slamming into his left leg at an awkward angle, resulting in knocking the boy over and dropping the vase. As Dipper was holding the vase, it wound up breaking over his left arm, the shards cutting into said limb.
At least the upper half of the art piece was whole. Covered in blood and stabbing into his flesh, but whole.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=Scene Change=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Dipper could only groan, having been forced to stay off his injured leg for a bit. He had explained he could get help moving about, but it may take a minute or two for his grunkle to get there and help him out.
But until then, he was stuck where he was. His left leg having gotten pretty badly bruised, maybe even a small fracture. It wasn’t broken, it might hurt like crazy if he walked on it, but he could still use it. His arm was now bandaged up, the multitude of cuts being small enough that it was safe to handle with a little first aid. It looked worse than what it was.
Tamaki, to the boy’s credit, was truly apologetic towards him, even going so far as to not blame him for the vase breaking or charging him for medical supplies. No, he put all that blame on Haruhi, as she patched him up, making the girl feel a little worse as she was patching him up.
Dipper would have slugged the boy, if he was stupid enough to get near him. But Haruhi practically protected the boy as she made him stay seated. So, Dipper was stuck there until Stan could come and get him. Stan would have to give him a call when he got here so he could guide him to the proper room. Mabel had helped their grunkles learn the ins and outs of the cell phone, they weren’t going to be using social media fluently any time soon, but they could get by.
Dipper was forced to watch as the bullies went about sending Haruhi to fetch groceries for the club. And yes, they were all bullies. Tamaki was the main bully, while the rest were enablers. Dipper was forced to do his studying there, even going so far as to write out notes for Haruhi to help the girl out. There was also the problem with a couple of the girls joining him at his table, asking him questions about what he was doing. One had even asked if he would help her out a little with some of her homework.
Dipper may have been off to the side, but he wasn’t so far away when he noticed something bad was going to happen from the corner of his eye. For as Haruhi was returning with groceries, distracting everyone with the instant coffee. So as Tamaki made a big show about instant coffee, drawing everyone away from the danger zone, there was one stubborn girl, a princess that was glaring at Haruhi in jealousy.
Well, so much for resting.
Dipper had to act quickly as he used his right leg to jump on top of his chair, knocking it over backwards as he kicked off at a good enough angle to get to the couch the snobbish girl was sitting on. Grabbing her under her arms and pulling her out of the line of the window and behind the couch.
Seika was about to yell at the boy for his actions when there was a loud crash. Through the window, came a teen girl, who was strikingly similar in appearance to Dipper. She had used a thick briefcase as a barrier to protect herself from the glass, before using the case itself as a sled across the table she had just been pulled from. Speaking of the couches however, they were now littered with glass shards, and had new rips in them.
Mabel had made an entrance to remember as she landed outside the mess she caused, her grappling hook retracting from it’s use of getting her up here with the briefcase. She now aimed it at everyone in sight. “Alright, tell me what you did with Dipper, and no one gets hurt.”
As Dipper spoke up from behind the couch, standing and leaning against it, Seika just stared in shock at the damage done. “Mabel, what all did Stan tell you? I swear I just asked him to come help me get home in a bit.”
Mabel blushed as she smiled awkwardly. “Well, I heard Stan say that you got hurt. I may have jumped to conclusions a little, seeing as you are freely standing and holding a girl in your arms, I might have over thought things, and maybe wanted an excuse to crash into here because I enjoy doing these things?”
Dipper sighed again as he limped his way around to his weapons case, pulling it off the table as that also collapsed. Mabel shook her head in disappointment. “Is nothing made to last these days?”
Dipper chuckled as he made sure all the glass was off the case, before stepping back and laying it out to go through it. Mabel was surprised a little when the twins she took notice of earlier stepped into her personal space, putting their arms around her shoulders. “You do realize that you just broke into an expensive school and threatened a bunch of rich and important people, right?”
Mabel rolled her eyes as Dipper held up a rod with four more on the sides of it. Grabbing it, she walked over, sticking two of the rods standing up on the floor, as if to create a square around the mess, before tossing the last two out the window.
As Mabel herded everyone out of the area, she pressed the button on the rod in her hand, causing the area to give off green light, before everything rewound, like watching time go backwards, the damage repaired itself with ease.
Dipper looked at Kyoya. “That is why I tried to stop you from sending off the vase.”
Tamaki was kicking himself right now, seeing as he was the one who sent the vase off with the reason being no one would purchase a repaired vase, original or not, and ignored Dipper as he said he could fix it. Haruhi was glaring at the blond, harshly.
Mabel went and grabbed the two rods off the floor as she opened the window and allowed the other two to float in and return to the device, before she gave it to her brother so he could put it away.
Kyoya stepped up behind the boy. “If you have such technology, why is it that you do not have the money for the school uniform, or to pay the tuition for that matter? With such technology, you should have been able to sell it with ease and make a fortune.”
Dipper scoffed at the boy. “Not everything is about earning money. I am a scientist that creates these inventions to aid in my future career as a paranormal investigator. That and if I did sell them, I wouldn’t have them, and these are not easy to recreate. Also, there are people who would abuse some of the things I have made for nefarious means. That time altering field we used to repair your window, it is still going. Until Mabel lifted the window, it was constantly reversing, and if Mabel hadn’t stopped it, it would have eventually shifted into it’s raw materials. That’s also why we can’t use this to help humans heal. It would de-age them to death rather quickly.”
Mabel kicked the table, before bouncing on one couch then the other. Flicking each of the cups, plates, and teapots there. Looking sheepish when people looked at her. “I forgot about that.”
Dipper chuckled as he turned back to Seika. “Are you all right, miss?”
Seika stared at Dipper, and in her eyes, the young boy went from wearing a vest and short sleeved shirt to wearing a leather chest plate, and a dirty red cloak. A roguish heroic smile, seeing as he still had some chuckles over his sister’s reaction. But in that moment, he sounded like he was a chuckling rogue with a heart of gold, a current age Robbin Hood if you will.
The doors to the room opened as a couple of new guests walked in. This being Pacifica Northwest, and two old men. Several could see the similarities the two shared with Dipper, but a bunch of the girls were still nervous over seeing the two older men.
Stan looked at Mabel as he spoke up. “What is with you always running off ahead kid? I tried to tell you that Dipper just needed a ride home because he hurt himself, and you go about grabbing the entire armory case before bolting ahead like I said he was facing off against the devil.”
Kyoya had known who these people were the moment they stepped foot into the room, having done a full background check on Mason(because of coarse he knows). He was caught off-guard with the sister’s entrance. The reason behind miss Northwest’s presence was a mystery. She had no real connection to the Pines family. (Kyoya has a different lunch, so he didn’t see them hang out then, nor does he pry too far into their lives, just enough to know what to expect.)
While Kyoya knew of these people and their connections, they were here to pickup Dipper, simple as that. But Mabel changed the plans when she decided to jump through the window like some superhero rescuing her brother. One just doesn’t ignore these things so easily. “Excuse me, but you all are interrupting club activities.”
Stan scoffed at the boy; Ford was the one to look around confused. “What club activities? You are all just sitting around doing nothing. Besides those girls over there at the table with Dipper’s things, who are apparently using their time wisely to further their education. From what I can see from here, the rest of you are just lazing about wasting your day away. What has this day and age become, when students are so nonchalant about their education?”
Ford just shook his head in disappointment, causing several of the girls to feel a little self-conscious. Tamaki took that as a challenge, seeing as he stepped up to the man. “Now, now, good sir. This is a Host Club, a place for the rich and beautiful with too much time on their hands, to come and spend that time with other rich and beautiful people with too much time on their hands. We of the Host Club are merely here to ensure they leave happy with the time they have spent here.”
Ford and Stan looked at the boy like he was an idiot, until Stan laughed as he spoke. “This kid reminds me of Mabel, if she thought less.” Tamaki looked heartbroken, as if the man before him had smacked him. “Hey, pumpkin, come over here and teach this boy how to properly defend his club against Poindexter here.”
Ford sighed as Mabel stepped forward, now somehow wearing a sweater that looked like the shirt that the boys were wearing. Ford recognized it as the one she was trying to convince Dipper to wear in place of his uniform, that they couldn’t afford. Everyone else there were wondering when she changed her sweater.
Mabel smiled as she made a big show of explaining things. “Great uncle Ford, us children of this prestigious Academy, have spent all day learning to the best of our ability, and need time to relax with a cup of tea, and lovely company of our fellow scholars. Haven’t you ever wanted to put the books down and just enjoy a nice cup of tea with your friends? That is what we here are doing.”
Mabel was able to ham it up as well as Tamaki, Kyoya would even admit that the girl matched Tamaki note for note. Tamaki was able to sell the club to anyone of high class and entertain the masses that fit into that clique. Mabel, however, was selling the idea of the club to an intellectual that just said they were wasting their time. Kyoya decided to take some notes as Mabel continued.
“These young minds that have spent all day molding themselves through classes, are able to do anything here. As you pointed out, Dipper was studying with a couple of these sweet gals, helping them finish their homework. What makes you so judgy about them enjoying a cup of tea as they finish?” Mabel finished off her argument with a simple pout, causing her grunkle to groan.
“Mabel, first, judgey is not a word.” This earned him a smack upside the head from his brother. “Secondly, I literally just heard Stan tell you to sell this club to me, so I know this is a scam.”
Stan chuckled. “No better scam than one you already know is a scam Sixer.”
Ford rolled his eyes as he looked at his brother. “Stanley, you shouldn’t encourage this. Mabel has a bright future already, there is no reason for her to scam people.”
Stan shrugged as Mabel was all giggles. Tamaki and the other hosts were feeling a bit forgotten, or ignored, as Haruhi walked over and offered the older men a couple cups of coffee. Ford and Stan smiled at the young lady, Stan knew because you can’t con a professional conman, and Ford used his high observational skill to see everything that pointed to the girl’s gender. Both used the same information, but different reasons for seeing it, you can’t hide the fact you lack an Adam’s apple while looking up at them.
Ford sighed as he accepted the cup. “I wasn’t saying anything bad, and I guess I should apologize for sounding like you had to defend yourselves. What you all do with your time is of course, your choice.”
Tamaki stepped forward again, exchanging a look with Kyoya as the dark haired boy nodded with a smirk. “Well, seeing as our newest member is the reason you’re here, I see no problem with you hanging around for a cup of coffee as you wait for our club activities to end.”
Dipper glared. “What was that? When did I agree to join this little trap of yours?”
Kyoya smirked as he stepped over. “Well, you have been entertaining some of the guests, so whether you really want to deny it or not, you could be considered a member. Some girls were even requesting you.”
Pacifica cleared her throat. “You all do realize that he is dating me, right? They can request all they want, complain all they want, but I will not be giving him up.”
Tamaki chuckled as he stepped forward to speak with the girl. “Miss Northwest, I am not aware how you got your information, but we men of this prestigious host club spend our time with friends. There is never expected to be anything truly permanent. These ladies all enjoy coming and spending time with us, depending on their whims. They all know I enjoy flirting, and so will request me expecting me to flirt with them, and that allows them to feel like that special someone. But none of these ladies expect me to take them home with me to bed. They are far to classy for that.”
The Pines family, Pacifica and Haruhi, all watched as something released a bunch of cherry blossoms to rain down around Tamaki. Mabel was the only one to clap along with all the other people there. Stan helped Dipper to the table with his stuff, while Ford grabbed and looked over the armory trunk, as Stan called it. Stan and Ford wound up sitting down and talking with Dipper about him being there, getting the full true story behind everything.
Tamaki looked heartbroken that the three, four with Pacifica walking over and joining them, ignoring him. Though they were now able to go try the instant coffee.
Dipper was explaining to his grunkles and girlfriend, what all transpired to him so far. Including Tamaki’s actions with Haruhi. Pacifica was ready to go slug Tamaki after getting the story. Mabel decided to hang around and learn about the other hosts as Kyoya explained their roles to Haruhi.
As Kyoya explained the twins, they wound up teasing Haruhi a little, even going so far as to pull off her glasses. Starting everything with how Tamaki started sending the other members off to fetch things.
At the end of everything, with Haruhi now wearing a boy’s school uniform, contacts, and having her hair done properly, everyone said hello to the new host. Stan looked over and felt a bit of pity for the poor girl, this all reminding him of when Mabel would try to set him up with a date.
And as the girl went through the activities, it kind of looked like that is what they did. Haruhi would usually end up sitting at a table with several girls all asking her questions, about everything. Heck, he and Ford even got asked some questions, and they were only there because they were pretty much being held hostage. The other brats were keeping Mabel distracted, keeping them here until she wanted to go.
At least they let them enjoy a couple mugs of good coffee.
He would admit, he found it fun as a couple of the girls started calling them grunkle, Ford almost had them stopping when he explained what grunkle actually meant, but Stan reassured them they didn’t care. Though now they heard Kyoya refer to them as the Grunkles of the Host Club.
Yeah, they were being held hostage because they had fun stories about their voyage around in the Stan o’ War. Stan even got to tell a couple stories about his conman days, while Ford got to share some of his stories about the weirdness he found throughout his adventures. Not all the girls believed every story, but with how their families worked, they rarely got the chance to sit down and listen to crazy stories. Their own grandparents or uncles never having any fun stories to tell.
Kyoya and Tamaki had both taken note of how Dipper, his grunkles, and Pacifica looked a bit restless, even though content. Mabel was the only one keeping them here. Pacifica was only here to spend time with her boyfriend. But they did take notice that the girls that had requested Dipper, did enjoy spending time over there, and the two older males looked to have been accepted rather well, seeing as the guests were warming up to them.
Mabel had been bouncing between the hosts, not really bothering anyone, just examining everyone. She wound up holding Honi-sempai at some point, sharing a cake with the boy. She had tried to get some people to try what she called Mabel Juice, if Dipper hadn’t shouted out the moment she pulled the pitcher from somewhere. “It’s not as bad as it used to be, but I still describe it as the unholy offspring of coffee and nightmares.”
Honi had been the only one brave enough to try it, but Mori stopped him. The pitcher had plastic dinosaur ice cubes to keep it cold, but Mori could smell the amount of sugar in the drink, and knew that it was a bad idea to drink it.
At this point, Mabel had experience with every host besides the twins, and seeing as she overlooked them and was heading over to her family, Kyoya decided to draw attention to it. The Hitachin twins both looked a little pouty as they went over and draped a single arm each over Mabel’s shoulders, similar to when she first showed up. “Hey, you go about and visit everyone except us?” “You’re going to make us feel bad Mabel-chan.”
Mabel looked between the two boys. “Oh come on, I was inspecting everyone to get a feel for their roles. Why would I need to get a feel for a role that I am already a part of? Me and Dipper fill your guys’ role in both similar and different ways.”
The two looked at each other in surprise as they stepped back. “You hear that, I think that was a challenge.” “I see it as well, Mabel thinks that her and Dipper can compete with us.”
As Mabel turned around, she saw the two boys smirking at her. “As I said, I see how your shtick works, and anyone would enjoy bedding twins, but me and my bro are the rarer type of twins. If someone goes for you two, they get two guys that look alike. Your personalities and habits are different, because you are two people, and of course girls will always find sleeping with two guys to be hot. But me and Dipper, we are not copy paste, if you net us, you get to experience both worlds. You get a hunky guy, and a total babe, you can explore both of us and experience more variety. Tell ‘em Pazzy.”
Pacifica blushed as she covered her face, muttering how she doesn’t do those things with her. She has barely gone past second base with Dipper after all. But the twins chuckled as they started to wrap their arms around each other. “Well, the big thing about two brothers being your twin catch, means you will never feel empty.”
Mabel rolled her eyes. “Anyone can buy something to make up for a lack of equipment. But you can’t really deny that a girl will always have an advantage against a man with knowing how to pleasure another girl.”
The twins smiled as they nodded, not really able to argue that. But smirked as they moved closer. “Something else you appear to lack.” “Is how close we are.” “Yup, seeing as we are close enough to be comfortable to flirt and get this close together, we can play out those fantasies of these lovely ladies.”
Mabel smirked at the two boys, before stepping up behind Dipper. “Dippy, these two are saying we aren’t close.” Mabel moved forward a bit, causing Dipper’s head to rest against her breasts as she leaned forward and put her arms down his shirt.
Dipper sighed as he smirked. Dipper didn’t really have this kind of relationship with Mabel, but they had done things like this as pranks to tease people that asked movie trope questions. They even did it every now and again to tease Pacifica. “Mabel, you know how much you stretching out my shirts bug me. If you ruin my shirt now, you won’t be able to ruin it later. After all, I will still need a nurse, all, night, long.”
As Dipper got halfway through his part, he reached up and caressed Mabel’s cheek. Mabel leaned forward, causing Dipper to lean back, and gave her brother a kiss on the chin, close enough that people could mistake it for a small kiss on the lips.
Mabel turned to the surprised twins as she asked them. “Is that close enough to prove ourselves?”
The twins had nothing to say to that. Kyoya was smirking, seeing as they were doing that right next to one of his hidden cameras. Tamaki was all smiles as he went about the rest of his day, doing his best to guide Haruhi in being a good host. Honi and Mori had the most normal day out of them all.
