Minjeong would never have thought that someone else's work could be so serious. No, she did not belittle someone's work, even her own, she just had a certain opinion that was about to be dispelled. Kim even thought for a few seconds, trying to get the numerous tables and calculations out of her head. The costs of the profession — all this was on the face. Minjeong worked as a secretary for all two years, she knew such subtleties that even her boss was amazed at this and did not think that it was possible to go so deep into work. Before Minjeong, another girl worked here and clearly a different place, since the director was surprised by the simple reporting both by quarter and annual.
Minjeong knew her own business, and now she was admiring the doctor.
She was a young girl, about twenty-two or three years old, with dark slightly curly hair and deep black eyes. The girl had an Asian appearance, but definitely did not belong to the Koreans — there was something special about her.
The brunette walked past while Minjeong studied her with a steady gaze and followed the doctor's every move too closely.
"Aeri, go to the emergency room, and then you will receive the Lord Kim Minjeong".
"OK, wait a minute".
The mention of her name made Minjeong's heart beat fast; and even though she visited the clinic on a scheduled basis, the fear, even if it was light, was still present. But not because Min was afraid of something there, was she afraid, is it just jitters? How can you even call it, hmm?
The blonde just continued to sit waiting for the doctor. She was interested in looking at the dirty blue walls, which did not look very good because of the dim hospital light; most of the windows were covered with blinds, and John even felt sad.
But then the doctor appeared, and it became even a little brighter somehow.
"Good afternoon, my name is Uchinaga Aeri, and I am your attending doctor. What's bothering you? What are your complaints?" the brunette was very attentive and competent. Probably, this was what she and Minjeong had in common — both gave themselves up to the chosen task, overworked and forgot to go home on time.
Only Aeri saved lives, and Minjeong saved reports.
"Good afternoon! Nothing bothers me, I came to be examined on a scheduled basis", Kim threw a fleeting glance at the doctor, and they clashed eyes, gently examining each other.
"Do you know patients like you unique people?"
"Why is that?" Kim smiled lightly and moved closer, allowing Aeri to feel her body parts. Aeri by this time was checking if there were clamps in the neck area due to the blonde's sedentary work.
"Usually you can't force to undergo examinations when it is necessary, and you are on your own initiative. This is commendable", Aeri spoke in pure Korean, without much accent. And Minjon was so interested in all this that she forgot what Uchinaga was doing at all.
"I found a couple of clips, so I'll write you a referral for a massage, okay? It's better to work out the whole back and lower back, because usually everything goes from there", the Japanese woman smiled and sat down at the table to quickly write the right one.
Minjoon nodded her head, and her curiosity finally escaped her. "You have such great Korean".
"I was born here in Seoul, and my mother is Korean", the doctor quickly replied and somehow even reacted calmly. Surely Minjeong isn't the first one to ask such questions to Aeri, right?
"Mmm, then that explains a lot".
There was a brief pause, which was diluted only by the sound of a writing pen and keystrokes on a working medical computer.
"I have written out referrals to other specialists, keep them. As soon as you pass everyone, come to my place, let's drink tea and talk more, okay?"
"Very good! Thank you! Laughing, the youngest left the doctor's office".
Running out of the office, Minjeong was fascinated by Aeri; she knew her job, she was generally endearing to herself, and only later Min found out that Aeri was slightly over thirty, they had a big age difference, but the Japanese woman was so sweet, understanding and responsive that I wanted to give her the universe.
But they will still have the opportunity to see each other, even drink tea and talk. Isn't that a miracle? And even though they were mostly silent, silence is also filled with thoughts.
