Abby jumped up and down with excitement. She had been looking forward to the weekend after a week full of exams and now that it had finally arrived she was full of energy.
"I'm in!" She exclaimed raising her hand to high-five Nora, “I just need to go home to-” Abby was cut off as an arm wrapped around her shoulders making her back collided with a strong chest.
“What?-” She gasped startled, her hands going to the arm around her shoulders instinctively when a familiar scent and an even more familiar voice whispered in her ear, “Want a ride?”
“Press,” She said, the corners of her mouth turning upwards as she turned her head towards him.
The noises of disgust as well as the words of complaint from her friends were ignored as she bumped her nose softly against his.
"No need, Norah's mother is going to take us!" Maxine intervened, pulling at her friends sleeve to get her out of his grasp, but with no success.
"I'm not talking to you Maxine." The boy tightened his hold on the small brunette.
“Abs!” Maxine complained and her friend buried herself deeper in his embrace.
“I won't be late” She promised.
Press smirked, “You got your answer, now get lost.”
Maxine gasped showing him the middle finger at the same time Abby slapped his arm.
"Be nice." She admonished him.
"I'm sorry girls but I will see you there." The petite girl said with an apologetic smile before she was dragged by her impatient boyfriend.
Maxine rolled her eyes, “Have I said how much I hate this development?”
Nora and Ginny shared a look, “Just three times this day.” They said at the same time, sharing the same sentiment as their dramatic friend. However when they looked at their retreating backs they couldn't help but accept that they made a cute pair and even though Press was still his mean person, they had to admit that he hadn't been mean to Abby ever since they started dating.
