Chapter Text
Nightmare was cuddling with his brother, enjoying the nature surounding them, watching Dust and Killer fly up in the air, playing tag like little kids. They knew to stay out of sight of the humans, so they just moved deeper into the forest.
There was a lot of skeletons, Ink still making tents whenever he had some free time. Said skeleton was sitting next to Error, quietly making another tent as the said glitch was knitting some puppets/toys for the younger ones.
Horror was preparing some food with Swap, teaching the said skeleton how to cook. Swap was catching on fastly, being the most interested into the tacos Horror had shown him.
While the two were making the delicious food, above them was bird, enjoying the view from the little height he was at, chatting with Cross.
Geno was silently beside the two said skeletons, beside him was reaper who was clinging onto him, Geno being annoyed at the other, but still letting it slide since being tired from the fly here.
Most of the others were sleeping, it was a nice day to say the least. Dream slowly falling asleep, his twin realizing it too late, now bring stuck in the others grip.
Said skeleton just huffed, since he had nothing to do, he just picked up a nearby book to read to pass the time. They were gonna continue their adventure after lunch, so he didn't even bother.
He was one of the gods amongst every one of the monsters, the other being Reaper, Dream, Ink, Error and so on... They just didn't care about their title, they were the same race anyway, so why bother?
The others weren't mortals for humans, but they were amongst other skeletons. The monsters were happy that no human had found them of the centuries, so they could live peacefully. There were a lot of close calls, but luckily a skeletons body doesn't not do any loud noise.
He stretched out his tentacles, still thinking of what other shape he could shapeshift the said wændr.
Though, they had to be careful when flying from one spot to another, as they would get shot by some hunters, if they were, the guards of the monster group would help them get out of the area as soon as possible so they wouldn't be seen. They carefully tried to put their wings to cover some of their unusual body parts so that was a great advantage. For Nightmare, it was better to fly at night due to his really dull-colored wings.
Kin and beats were just quietly tossing rocks in a random river they found, just to kill some time.
They had expanded their guards a bit, one of the newer ones taking such a role were Cross and Swap, due to Cross' fast flying and Sawaps strength to hold up to 4 skeletons and help Cross during such a time.
The two said monsters being best friends. Though, Swap was also friends with Error, one of the most hated among them for getting rid of some humans that got in the way. The ones that helped the said skeleton being Nightmares group, the one that liked killing humans the most being Horror.
Fortunately, they all had to rely on each other, otherwise they'd die if they don't group themselves.
Nightmare didn't like the hatred they were receiving, but he went along with it, knowing he can't do anything about it other than respect such a desicion.
The group reuniting for lunch time as most woke up the ones sleeping beside them, Dust and Killer just immediately landing beside their boss, helping him wake up his twin.
After the break, it was time to go on their little trip, they had to wait for the ones that took the most time putting their things in their inventory. The space in it being bug enough to fit everything, but it was still alit of things.
With Error taking the most time to store away his puppets, they finally took of once everyone was done, making sure they stayed as low to the ground as possible.
The guards flying beside, above or below anyone they could, making sure to direct everyone in the right direction.
Flying is fun, but not when you have to do it for dear life.
