Notes:

Here is a little drabble that I have written on my Twitter. I know that I have written that IzuOcha is involved in here but it's only mentioned in one sentence of the whole story. But better to tag it than be sorry.

Work Text:

On a Saturday morning, Kirishima woke up to the smell of rice coming from the kitchen. Rolling over on his and Katsuki’s bed, he noticed that both his husband and his son were gone. Slowly getting up he went to go and check where their pup was.

When Eijirou made his way into the kitchen, he saw his mate and his pup by the kitchen stove. Going closer to them, he realized that they were cooking some miso soup. He placed a kiss on Katsuki’s cheek and on the top of Kusurou’s head.

“You finally woke up huh?” Katsuki said as he returned the kiss to his husband.

“I noticed some amazing smell from the kitchen so I had to investigate,” Eijirou said as he laughed lightly.

“Kusurou wanted to help with breakfast, it's going to be done soon so get the dishes prepared.”

Eijirou nodded. He loved whenever his mate cooked because it always turned out exactly like a 5-star restaurant but ever since becoming parents, he became increasingly fond of eating something that his pup prepared.

Kusurou was a little bit over three years old and was always around in the kitchen, even as a baby. Katsuki wanted to teach him how to cook as soon as he could, saying that it was good for his future, and he agreed.

Putting the rice in the bowls and setting them down, Eijirou reminisced in the memory of Katsuki and Kusurou in the kitchen. Either the little pup helping chop some vegetables or stealing some food for a taste test. Whatever it was that was being prepared, he was always involved.

Once the whole family sat down to eat, Kusurou started to boast about how good his cooking was. His parents agreed of course. When Eijirou tried the soup it really was good, probably due to his mate’s supervision. His pup loved to put every and all types of spices and seasoning in all his dishes so he was glad that Katsuki moderated him a bit.

Eating a roughly chopped piece of tofu, he tried the rice next. It was hard to make rice not taste good so he wasn't surprised when the rice was to his liking. Judging from the slightly wet sleeves on his son, he assumed that Kusurou also helped with the rice. Either washing it or putting it in the rice maker.

Katsuki and he always encouraged Kusurou to talk since he is very shy with other people so Eijirou was absolutely thrilled about the fact that his pup was so eager to share with him how he made the breakfast in front of him.

After the family finished breakfast and cleaned up the dishes they decided to go back to his and Katsuki’s room. It was their family tradition to go back to the nest and cuddle after eating breakfast on the weekend days.

Katsuki went to the room to fix his nest a bit after the night's sleep while Eijirou followed his pup back to his room. Kusurou went to get his green, bunny plushie. The bunny was a gift from Ochako and Izuku when Kusurou was born. The pup was very attached to his plushie and always needed him in order to sleep at night.

Katsuki didn't like the bunny at first, it was a lie though, Katsuki thought that the plushie was a very thought-out present but will never admit it out loud because every morning, the bunny always ends up shoved in his face.

Going back to the nest with his pup in his arms, he saw that Katsuki was already ready for their family scenting.

Eijirou smiled, as he entered the nest, putting Kusurou in between him and his mate. Katsuki wasted no time and pulled his pup closer to him in order to put more of his sweet, smokey scent on him. Eijirou indulged himself in the scent of his mate and the purrs coming from both him and his son.

He joined both of them in the scenting, smiling from ear to ear as he got more purrs in return. He loved scenting his family. Katsuki’s smoky-sweet scent, combined with his own woody one, always reminded him of their first date, when they went hiking on a mountain during the winter holidays. Then, the addition of Kusurou’s scent always made him feel soft and warm on the inside.

Eijirou loved the weekend when he and his family could relax and just exist with one another without the worry of having to come to work or about what others say about their family.

Yeah, weekends were his favorite part of the whole week.

~End~
