Work Text:
Berdly had been fighting Kris and Noelle for about 5 minutes when Kris told Noelle to preform a spell.
”Snowgrave.”
Noelle had been confused, telling Kris she didn’t know what they were talking about. She hadn’t ever heard of snowgrave let alone how to preform it, but Kris still pestered her about it, Continuously telling her to preform it.
Noelle was getting more aggravated by the second.
”I don’t know what your talking about!”
She told Kris, but that seemed to have no effect on them.
“Kris Stop… I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Noelle shouted desperately.
“Snowgrave…” Kris commanded one last time.
Noelle looked at them, distraught.
”Fine! Look what happens when I cast spells I don’t know!”
Berdly was confused. Why were they telling Noelle to cast a spell they knew Noelle didn’t know?
Berdly was pulled out of his thoughts when he looked at Noelle. His mouth dropped. Noelle’s eyes had turned as white as snow and they seemed to be glowing, snowflakes seemed to be emitting from her.
Berdly couldn’t help but gasp.
She started to float up, creating massive amounts of ice and snow as she floated up. Then she stopped. And did something that sent chills down his spine.
She looked straight at him.
Her cold, cold eyes pierced his soul. She lifted her hand and towards him and clenched her hand into a fist.
Everything became freezing cold. As if someone was freezing him alive. He could barely see from all the snow, his glasses started to grow frost. He could barley make out his own silhouette. He couldn’t move. It was as if his own body was freezing.
Berdly opened his eyes. He was swallowed by a cold even worse then the last. He thought it was over, that he could run over to Noelle and protect her from Kris. But when he tried to move his legs. They didn’t budge. confused, he tried again only to be met by the same conclusion. He was very confused. He opened his eyes, trying to look around seeing what was keeping his legs from moving when he realized.
He was frozen solid, panicking he tried to scream but was not able to. The loudest sound he was able to make was not even louder than a mouse.
He continued to struggle as he felt himself get weaker and weaker. Then he a familiar figure. It was Noelle. She was laying down on the ground almost lifeless. Berdly looked down at her doing anything he could to try and alert her that he was still here.
Noelle got up and seemed to have said something, the ice was a complete sound barrier and he could barley hear anything, but he could still see her mouth moving. After she was finished talking. She started to walk away.
”No! Wait!”
Berdly tried to scream but he was still unable too, he tried desperately to move watching as she slowly went farther, and farther away, until she was gone.
Berdly felt so distraught, he felt as if he would cry.
He looked for someone, anyone to help him. When he came across Kris. Still standing there as if they were waiting for something. It was almost creepy, they had no reaction to the thing they just did.
But then.
Kris walked over to Berdly and looked straight at him.
They knew he was still there.
Then everything went black.
