Late conversation

Summary:

This work is a test. Don't hesitate to comment if you see ways to improve.

In a certain "wish-granting" organisation, work can't be left alone at all, there is always new wishes to proceed. Therefore,it is normal to have some people on standby during the nights. Some bored people on standby. Alone in this big building, isn't it normal to create conversations?

Notes:

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Work Text:

Four, maybe five hours in the morning. The hours made the building feel empty. Or maybe it was because only three employees remained? Hard to say,the building was pretty big no matter what after all. From a station,a young man yawned.

-How much time till we can get out?
A woman,rubbing her tired shoulders,looked over,to a younger employee,barely an adult,still considered a teen.
-Huh...What's the hour?

-Dunno...Between four or five.
-Doesn't feel like it.
-I mean four or five in the morning.
-Oh.
The woman stared at the man for a few second, before going back to her post.

-Hurm...Most employees should come at six?
-Why did we even stay?
The woman blinked, probably trying to remember just why they decided to stay. The man leaned in his chair.

-Someone need to do it. Wishes don't care about the hour.
The teen scowled.
-Maybe they should. Ain't a fan of staying awake that long.
-You didn't have to. Even just one person was enough.
-Wouldn't that be...Super hard?

The man shrugged.
-I mean...Most wishes get thrown out. We need to find thoses with big wishes, who will be able to deal with the price.
The teen grinned.
-You make it sound like we kill them.

The woman turned her chair to look at her co-workers.
-I mean...Do you remember that girl from three years ago? It was so hard on her,she got a breakdown.
-Wasn't it just because she missed her family?
-Anyone would miss their family if they got send in another world, again and again.

The woman laughed.
-Hey!You make it seem like it's infinite.
-It's not?
-No. There is an end. But nobody is really sure when it is.
-So,it's basically infinite.

The man shrugged again.
-Whatever. Infinite or not, they agreed to the terms and conditions.
The teen raised an eyebrow.
-They never read it,did they? How would they even do it?
-How should I know? All I am aware of is that they agreed. Now get back to work.

The teen shrugged,rolling their eyes.
-Sure... Guess it doesn't really matter to us.

Notes:

Again, please don't hesitate to comment if you see way I can improve.
English isn't my first language,so pardon me if there is some glaring faults.(Though I would appreciate to know about thoses.)
