The thing that gave her a new life, is also what will end it. Ava thought she was getting freedom and instead she was getting responsibilities and intrigue. Sometimes she wondered if it was worth it, if being able to walk again and live without those wretched nuns at the orphanage was worth it… She lived but at what cost?
And the question was… would she need to sacrifice it all? Did she get to keep this? Did she get to keep Beatrice?
She didn't get to keep it. At least she got to kiss Beatrice before she sacrificed herself.
