Wedding Shenanigans

Summary:

it's Marcel and Pieck's wedding reception, and Colt is very drunk.

So drunk that he has forgotten that Porco is his boyfriend and attempts to hit on him all over again.

Notes:

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve wrote a proper fic. Or anything substantial, to be exact. This is my first time writing for a ship, and I adore this because this is one of my top comfort ships and I just needed some fluff. I hope you’ll enjoy this, and thank you if you do decide to read it 💕

Work Text:

It was Marcel and Pieck’s wedding reception—and it was in full swing.

Colt, who’s already had more than the usual amount of wine thanks to the Galliards owning one of the largest vineyards in the country, was sitting at his assigned spot at the table, watching as his boyfriend, Porco, danced with one of his younger nieces.

However, Colt was already intoxicated—so intoxicated that he did not realise that Porco is his boyfriend. “I’m gonna talk to him,” he said, or rather, slurred, to Reiner.

“Who?” Reiner asked, confused by what his friend meant.

“Porco,” replied Colt, gesturing to his boyfriend who had lifted the little girl so that she was standing on his shoes while he swayed with her to the music.

“Colt, that’s your—” Reiner was interrupted by Zeke, who put a hand on his arm and shook his head slightly, a mischievous smile on his face.

“You should talk to him, Grice,” Zeke encouraged him. “He’s checking you out.”

“He is?” Colt asked, eyes sparkling with hope and Reiner rolled his eyes at whatever it is that Zeke was planning.

“Yeah, he really is!”

Indeed, Porco was checking Colt out. But that was because he couldn’t help but admire how handsome Colt looked in a suit.

Being Marcel’s younger brother, Porco was his best man and that meant he had spent the last week running around and making sure that everything was perfect for the wedding.

He barely had time for Colt—save for a few quick dates and kisses—and now that he was finally relieved of his duties as best man, he intended on spending some much-needed quality time with his boyfriend.

“Go on, talk to him,” Zeke pushed Colt again, a hand on his shoulder as he tried to get him to go up to Porco.

“Zeke,” Reiner hissed at the older man. “What are you doing?”

Zeke ignored the burly blond and leaned in a bit towards Colt. “Go on, talk to him before you miss the opportunity!”

Colt mulled over Zeke’s words first before finishing the last of his wine and used a napkin to dab the corner of his mouth. “I’m going to talk to him.”

“Atta boy!” said Zeke with a chuckle, while Reiner folded his arms and shook his head, watching as Colt got up and walked towards Porco who had just finished his dance.

“What are you up to, Zeke?” Reiner asked while Zeke popped a grape into his mouth. “You know how Colt gets when he drinks too much.”

“What’s a wedding without a little drunken fun?” he asked, laughing softly. “Colt’s such a puppy when it comes to Porco, I just thought he needed a little push.”

Porco noticed Colt approaching him, so he brought his little niece closer to him and said in her ear, “Why don’t you go ask Uncle Marcel for a dance?”

“Okay, Uncle Pokko!” said the little girl, giggling as she went to look for him.

Porco smiled as he watched her retreating back, and then turned to face Colt who was already blushing. “Why, hello there,” said Porco with an amused smile, fully aware of Colt’s intoxicated state right now.

“Um, hi,” said Colt shyly, clasping his two hands together, looking very much like a child asking if he could have something.

“Can I—I mean—I-I would like to ask—” Colt licked his lips, his blush reaching his ears, and Porco had to keep himself from laughing at how adorable his boyfriend was being.

“You’d like to ask me… what?” Porco gently urged him.

“If you wanna dance with me,” Colt squeaked out, looking at Porco with hopeful eyes.

“I’d love to,” said Porco with a sweet smile, taking Colt’s hand in his (which were noticeably sweaty, much to Porco’s amusement), and leading him to the dancefloor.

As they swayed along to the music, Colt couldn’t help but wonder—in his drunken stupor—if the handsome man he was dancing with is single. He had to be if he was dancing with him, right?

“Can I ask you something?” Colt asked.

“Anything,” Porco replied.

“Are you… single?”

Colt bit his bottom lip to keep himself from chuckling. “No, I’m not.”

“Figures,” said Colt sadly, pouting slightly. “But why are you dancing with me if you’re not single?”

“Because my boyfriend is here.”

Colt’s eyes grew wide, shocked by the fact that he had ‘flirted’ his way into a dance with somebody’s boyfriend. “Where is he? Oh my gosh—I’m so sorry!”

Marcel, who was nearby and had been listening to them after dancing with his niece, playfully nudged Porco. “Pock! Quit messing with your boyfriend!” said the older Galliard as Porco burst into laughter.

“Me?” Colt asked in confusion, pointing to himself. “I’m his boyfriend?”

“Yes you, silly!” Pieck giggled, joining Marcel on the dancefloor. “Porco’s your boyfriend—you’ve been dating him for two years!”

“We have?” Colt’s face softened at this revelation.

“Yes, my love,” Porco snickered, pulling Colt towards him, and giving him a soft peck on his lips. “I’m yours.”

“Mine,” Colt said softly, smiling at him as he slowly came to his senses. “And I’m yours.”

“Yes,” said Porco, gazing lovingly into Colt’s eyes. “You’re mine.”

Colt’s smile grew wider as Porco gently pulled him closer, while Marcel and Pieck left the happy couple alone to sway gently to the music.

“You’re so cute, you know that?” Porco whispered to Colt. “Fucking adorable,” he added with a soft chuckle. “I love you, Grice.”

“I love you too, Galliard,” said Colt, leaning in to kiss Porco again.
