Dahyun is in Busan for the first time.
This port city is so rich in fish that Dahyun's employer, without thinking, immediately offered almost all of his sailors to go there and, as it was said, feel the ground. Find out the information, pricing and other important components that the boss needed so much.
When the girl got off the huge ship to the new lands, she was amazed by the beauty of these places. Even lazy people have heard about Busan, but not everyone could visit it. Korea's territory is not that big, but for many it was not only financially difficult to move around the country's cities, but also simply impossible. The road was exhausting quickly, and flying such a small mileage on airplanes was terribly unprofitable. In addition, the airlines also put a horse price tag on all this. So Dahyun, in fact, became a sailor. The sea is her element, her middle name and a soothing cradle. And if many people were seasick on such trips, even seasickness was detected, then for Kim it was the very thing. She could enjoy the waves for hours while the ship rocked from side to side, and then she fell asleep under this swing.
Dahyun's duties did not include much: mostly to sit on the bridge with the captain of the ship, or even alone when the first one needed to go somewhere; to control the sailors and jung - they often liked to ignore the rules, and the only girl here forced them to turn on their brains. Plus, they tried to please Dahyun.
But Dahyun loved the sea, they just didn't have a chance.
So, stepping on a new land, Kim found that Busan resonated deep in her heart, as the sea had done before. The city is unremarkable, but still managed to conquer her female heart.
She just stood and watched the lives of ordinary people like her: someone hurried to lunch from work, someone on personal business, and someone carelessly broke away from a pretty girl and tried to dive right into the water. That's where Dahyun's gaze stopped.
"What did I tell you, Wooyoung! Quickly came back to me!", the dark-haired girl looked very excited and tried in every possible way to catch up with the child.
Dahyun decided to help and stood right in front of him, blocking the way to the water.
"I want to be a waterfowl!" He frowned and looked so displeased at Dahyun that she was even scared for a second. "Aunt, come on, step aside!"
"What kind of waterfowl, prankster?" the voice of the stranger was now coming closer, and the sailor saw how she was rapidly running towards Dahyun and the mentioned Wooyoung. "Also tell me that you want to be a sailor. The perspective is so-so".
Dahyun was already frowning now. "Do you have something against sailors?" so, purely out of interest, the eldest gave her voice.
The unknown brunette stopped, managing to catch the tomboy by the elbow and pull him to her.
"No, but…"
"No, but yes?" interrupting her, Dahyun folded her arms on her chest. "It starts to sound like "I don't want to offend you, but...". Very inappropriate wording, lady".
Dahyun was smiling only with the corners of her lips, and the child was ready to laugh with pleasure. "Aunt, you outplayed her and destroyed her".
"What are you saying?!"
"What kind of aunt am I to you, small pus?
They began to be indignant in two voices at the same time, and then abruptly both fell silent, looking at each other.
Dahyun couldn't stand it first and still laughed. Wooyoung did not share the joy with her. "My name is Dahyun, and I'm a sailor. It's extremely interesting, why do you think that about people like me?"
The brunette frowned and held the child's hand while he carefully watched their conversation, then just looked at the blue cloudless sky.
"Nice to meet you, Dahyun. I'm Mina, the tomboy's nanny", they even shook hands and smiled sweetly. "As for the profession, my father was a sailor and sailed in Japanese waters".
"Swam?" Dahyun asked. She thought that either Mina was left without a father at an early age, or…
"Yes, it no longer exists for me. He left me with my mom", she even smiled after that. It became clear that the situation for her is extremely sensitive and even still painful.
"Not everyone is like that, people show their real selves more over the years. Don't hold a grudge against his kind. I'm devoted to the sea and the ocean, but I'm also devoted to those I love".
Dahyun's speech made Mina think and frown even more. So much so that Kim had to run her fingers over her forehead and smooth out the wrinkles that had formed. "Are you seriously a sailor?"
"Yeah. And behind me is the ship on which I sailed", she turned around and showed this powerful figure with her hand, from which the boy's mouth opened in amazement.
"Great, then I invite you to walk with us. At the same time, you can tell Wooyoung everything, since he dreams of sailing the seas so much".
"Okay".
Dahyun was indeed given to seawater, but a place had just formed in her heart for Mina's charming smile. Is this some kind of new beginning? Because Hyun really liked it.
