Chapter 1: Cat naming 〜☆ .。

Chapter Text

˗ˏˋ꒰ ☆ ꒱   "What? You want to name her Angel Cake?" Croissant asked, making Coffee Candy giggle.

"Of course! Angel Cake’s a cute name!" She explained, making Croissant shake her head.

"No no no, Angel Cake is too basic! We need something more interesting, like… Pepper!" She beamed, while Coffee Candy stared at her in disbelief.

For months now, the two had been planning to get a pet. They had just recently started living together, as despite not having dated for a long period of time, their relationship had been moving quicker then both cookies expected. Not that they minded, though all of Croissants relationship experience was from one or two dates in the past, while Coffee Candy’s was all from media she had consumed in her childhood. And So it wasn’t a surprise to any cookie when Coffee Candy suggested getting a pet, to which Croissant excitedly gasped. She loved animals.

At first, Croissant had suggested a cake hound, but Coffee Candy thought such an energetic animal would be too much for a first pet. Then Coffee Candy suggested a marshmallow hamster, but Croissant said they were too sugary, which was unfortunate due to Coffee Candy’s love for sugary animals. Croissant then suggested a kiwi bird, but quickly shut that idea down herself.

Eventually, Coffee Candy suggested that the two get a cheese cat— any breed really— which Croissant jumped up to, yelling with excitement about the different breeds they could get.

After months of research and saving up enough money for food, toys and the actual pet, the two were ready to get one. Once they had gotten to the pet store, they looked around at all of the cheese cats, quickly becoming attached to all sorts of different cats. Though it wasn’t too long until they both noticed a cheddar cat, one with only three legs.

In an instant they both agreed to getting her, their hearts melting immediately when seeing her.

And now they were here, at home, arguing over names—

"Pepper?!" Coffee Candy laughed, making Croissants face slightly turn red.

"What's wrong with Pepper?!" She yelped, embarrassed.

"N—Nothing… we aren’t naming her that though, how about… Honey?"

"No—o!" She stated, dragging out the ‘o’, "Honey’s just as basic as Angel Cake— like, yeah they’re cute but everyone names their cats that!"

"Well, that just means they’re good names!"

"Look Coffee Candy, this lil’ guy here is super cool, so she needs a cool name too! That means, no basic names." Croissant crossed her arms, making Coffee Candy huff.

"Fine, what names are you thinking of?"

"Uhhh, Poppy?"

"Mm, no Poppy’s more of a cake hound name. What about—t," She placed her finger on her chin, dragging out the ‘t’ as she thought, "Pumpkin?"

"Hm, less original but I like the track we’re on, how about Mocha?"

"Ooo, that one's cute! But what about Lemon?"

"No, no, we know a Lemon, remember? Well— know of a Lemon," Croissant said, Coffee Candy mumbling a ’yeah’ as the two began to think more. "I’ve got it! Sesame!" Croissant exclaimed, Coffee Candy’s eyes lighting up.

"Yes! That’s a perfect name!" She turned to their cat, "Isn’t it such a great name, Sesame?" She cooed, hearing a soft purr as she pet her.
