   Summary

   Spock's mother will occasionally go out and offer her services to various Federation planets when she feels she can be of some assistance. His father says it’s her way of exercising her occasional bouts of emotionalism in a constructive and logical way. She claims that she is simply using the advantages she’s been given as an Ambassador’s wife for good.

   However when one of her good deeds brings a strange boy into his home, Spock isn't quite sure what to make of him. Worse still when he accidentally forms a bond with their temporary guest.
