Work Text:
3rd Person POV
Inosuke rushed through the butterfly estate, his hands cupped in a way as to not let whatever was inside escape.
A deep laugh came from him as he slid around a corner and continued his journey to a specific room.
When he made it to the room he slid the door open with this foot.
The room was void of humans but was filled with a small table and a shelf that held books and other things Insuke could care less about.
Using his shoulder, he nudged his mask up to rest on the top of his face.
After that he walked in and shut the door with his foot.
He hobbled over to the small table where he saw what he was looking for.
He plopped a seat on the floor and moved his face close to the teranim that sat on top of the desk.
He let out a laugh that was almost a giggle as he observed the small insects move around through the tunnels they've made.
After a little while of watching he made an oh sound as he remembered what he had in his hands.
Being very careful he uncupped his hands and watched as the ant began crawling up his wrist and arm.
"No no." He picked the ant up using the index finger of his other hand and sat it back down this time on the table.
"You're gonna have some new home! It's gonna be a nice one!" He exclaimed, watching as the ant began to explore the flat surface.
Now having both his hands free he carefully opened the opening to his ant farm making sure not to disturb the residents.
"Miss queen, you have got a new worker!" Inosuke laughed as he scooped up the ant who was about to fall off the table and put it above the opening, watching as it fell off his finger and onto the dirt of the habitat.
Inosuke closed the opening. His pale green large doe-like eyes watched closely as the ant began making its way down a tunnel.
He watched it engage with other ants and work with them.
The good interaction caused the feminine faced boy to smile.
His attention was pulled away from the working insects when the sound of the door opening could be heard.
He turned his head and his smile grew wider as he watched Kanao walk in with a tray of tempura, Inosuke's favorite.
She walked over to him and gently sat there try on the table and gave the boy a small smile.
"Bambi! I got another ant!" Inosuke proudly spoke, taking a bite of one of the tempura.
Kanao nodded her head and hummed looking into the ant farm as Inosuke held it up and pointed to a small black ant.
"Very nice Inosuke. You're taking good care of them." Kanao spoke hardly above a whisper as she patted Inosuke on the head.
After they both fell into a peaceful silence aside from the chewing of food as they watched the ants scurry around.
