Work Text:
Ripley stared at Call, who was glaring at something in the distance of the spaceship. “Call.” Ripley hissed, causing the android to turn toward her lover quickly. “Sorry.” Ripley breathed out, not expecting her voice to have come out so guttural but it seemed that Call didn’t mind it as she approached the other woman.
“It’s okay. You didn’t mean it. I assume you didn’t mean it.” Call gave Ripley a pointed look, causing Ripley to let out a cackle.
“Of course, I didn’t mean it. Why would I do that to you? You’re important to me.” Ripley’s words made Call turn away, wondering why her face felt hot at the words that had been spoken to her. You can’t be serious! I can feel embarrassed like a human being. Call assumed that she only had some human features, even though she had been programmed with emotions. She had just forgotten about embarrassment.
“Damn it.” Call murmured and yet, Ripley grinned at her.
“I can see how red your face is.” She teased and Call’s face turned even redder. Unbelievable. She wished that embarrassment was the emotion they had skipped out on but now, she knew Ripley was going to use it to her advantage.
