Now that Sam and Bucky are an official team & living together in Delacroix, Bucky opens up more about his childhood & the good old days. He goes more in depth about memories with his family, the friends he had at school. Bucky casually brought up the journal he had in his apartment from Bucharest, the photos and clippings, the small entries he included in an attempt to regain his memory.
So Sam goes on a mission.
One day, he comes home from an afternoon of shopping and finds Bucky sitting on the floor, assembling a new armchair. He perks up and says “Hey, Buck? Got a little somethin for ya!” And hands him a box with his name scratched on it. Bucky looks at him confused, but takes the box out of his hands. He sifts through and the realization sets in.
It’s a box of his belongings from his apartment in Bucharest.
Bucky’s shocked, eyes tearing up when he reaches into the box to pick up his journal where he recorded old memories after escaping HYDRA. He thought it was gone forever. When he asks Sam how he found it, Sam just says that he made some calls & pulled some strings to get his stuff back. Bucky hugs him tightly and says “Thank you so much.”
