Emmet hummed a little tune as he made his way to his house, waving at the occasional citizen and friend. He carried the groceries in one hand and his keys in the other. He's glad that his little adventure went well and now he gets to come home to his special best friend, *cough* girlfriend *cough*, and relax for the day. He made it to his house and unlocked the blue door into it. "Lucy, I'm home!" Emmet called out as he stepped into their living space. He turned to the kitchen but stopped in surprise.
The kitchen had brown smears all over with flour spread across the floor. The oven seemed to have a small amount of smoke coming from it. At the center of it all was none other than Lucy herself. She was covered in icing, flour, and some kind of treat mix, and bore a guilty smile on her face. "E-Emmet! Hey, I uh, didn't expect you home so soon," She says with a bit of worry.
"OOooooookaaaaay..... So, what happened exactly?" Emmet asked as he placed the bag in his hand on the couch.
"Well, I kind of decided to make you some brownies before you got home-"
"Daw."
"-but I have zero baking skills," Lucy admitted with a look of shame.
"Wait, really?" Emmet asked with a bit of shock.
"Yep. I was a singer, not a cooker. Anyways, I didn't have a guide on how to make them so I got a little angry and smashed some ingredients together, which explains why everything's, well, everywhere, and THEN I put the oven on too high and started a fire. I didn't have enough mix to make anymore brownies so I got creative and put a ton of icing on them to mask the, well, burntness of them... And I squeezed a bit too hard and now there's icing on me," Lucy rubbed the back of her head as Emmet laughed, making her blush. "Oh shut up."
"S-Sorry sorry," Emmet apologized and walked over to her, rubbing some of the icing off her face with his thumb, "And trust me, you don't wanna know my first cooking experience."
"Oh? Well now I do~" Lucy said with a smug, getting up close to Emmet's face, "I really do, my little treat~"
".... ANYWAYS! Let's taste those brownies of yours," Emmet slid under Lucy and grabbed one of the brownies from the tray on the counter. It was a dark brown with the yellow frosting from every. He quickly took a bit and a look a shock came over him, "Wow, this is actually really good. A little hard, and a little sweet, but I think you did a good job."
"Heheh, thanks Emmet," Lucy said, giving Emmet a small peck on the cheek.
