Work Text:

"Well, dessert will be ready soon, but we've got a few minutes," Shirou said, closing and stepping away from the oven.
"Excellent. Erm, Saber, there's something I need to speak to you about,"
She glanced around the room, then gestured towards the door.
"In private." Rin got up from the table and stepped towards the exit.
"Of course," Saber said, stepping up from her seat, and grabbing one last handful of dinner (and bowing to their host) before following Rin into the hallway.

They withdrew to a hallway on the opposite end of the house from the kitchen. Rin leaned against the wall, and Saber stood opposite her.
Saber straightened up and faced Rin
"What did you need to speak with me about, Rin?"
"Nothing," Rin said, stepping closer.
Saber's expression shifted to one of quizzical confusion.
Rin drew within inches of Saber. She stepped back twice, before ending up splayed against the wall.
"Ah, Rin I-"
"Shhhhhhh" Rin whispered, and leaned forward, supporting herself with her hand on the wall Saber was up against.
Saber's exhalation got louder.
"Oh? Should I stop?"
"N-no, I'm just a little flustered,"
"Good." Rin pecked her on the cheek.
"Oh, is that it?" She relaxed a little.
"No, just a prelude." Rin shifted her weight forward, pinning Saber to the wall and resting her torso against Saber's. She pecked her other cheek. Then ran her fingers across Saber's cheek.
"Are my fingers cold?"
Saber nodded. Rin heard her breath get a tiny bit louder.
"I think I'll leave them there then, they'll warm up fast there."
Saber's eyes followed her snow-cold hand as it moved to gently hold up her chin.
They could both feel the other's chest rise and fall with each breath. Rin's breath was slow and deep. Saber's quick and shallow.
"Do I need to let you go?"
Saber straightened herself up as best she could, getting up to eye level with Rin.
"N-no," She replied. "I'm fine."
"Good."
Rin grinned devilishly and leaned in. Saber leaned forward as far as she could as her lips met Rin's.
The initial kiss was quick, barely a peck. Rin broke it off, and licked her lips. They kissed again, another quick peck on the lips. Saber relaxed a little after the second one, and Rin struck. Her tongue slipped between Saber's lips, and met Saber's tongue as her eyes jolted open. Rin smiled back as best she could. Saber's jaw slackened, and her tongue oozed out near the corner of her mouth.
Rin licked Saber's front teeth before being caught herself by Saber, whose tongue grazed the back of her own. Rin retreated a little, and let Saber lick her lips, then Rin's.
"There you go..." Rin cooed, leaning back in. She looked Saber in the eyes and opened her mouth expectantly. Saber stared back for a moment, then hesitantly took charge, leaning in and kissing Rin. She broke off the kiss, then pecked Rin on both cheeks. Rin finally blushed, her cheeks turning a bright pink tone, as she closed her eyes and leaned forward, pecking Saber's left cheek. She leaned back as far as she could and gently removed Rin's fingers from her chin.
"They're plenty warm now, eh?"
"If you insist," Rin said,
Saber kissed her again, then said "I think it's your turn again"
"My, my," Rin gasped, detaching herself for a moment. "Not bad." She kissed Saber again, no tongue this time. This kiss lasted a for just a few seconds before they both drew back simultaneously. Saber's breath started to become quiet again, slowing back down to normal. She ran her fingertips across Saber's chin one last time and then unwound herself from around Saber. She drew back, leaning back against the wall opposite Saber.
"I should let you take the lead more often, that was nice," Rin said.
"If that's what you'd like me to do," Saber replied, catching her breath,
"Tohsaka, Saber, dessert's ready!"
"Mm, that was nice," Rin said, panting a little.
Saber, her face red as dusk, managed a breathy. "Mmhmm."
"You're so excitable," Rin laughed as she took Saber's hand to drag her back to the kitchen. "That's fine, it makes this so much more fun for me."
"Are you... rating my performance?" Saber asked.
"Something like that," Rin smirked. "Anyways, come on, I'm not eating cold cake tonight."
"Mm, right, let's go." Saber agreed.

Rin tried to creep back into the kitchen, but Saber marched in like usual, alerting Shirou.
"Welcome ba-" Shirou paused when she spotted the pair. While Saber's blood-red blush was far more obvious, Rin was still a little pink as well. Shirou wanted to say something, but she decided against it; after all, even a love-dizzy Rin wasn't someone to be trifled with. She faked a cough to hide her failed comment, then said.
"Welcome back."
"Yes. Thank you." Rin smiled as she and Saber sat back down at the table.
"Man, you two sure are lucky everyone else cleared out early today."
"Eh?" Rin shot her a deadly look.
"W-what do you mean, Shirou?" Saber asked nervously.
"You two weren't very quiet," Shirou said as she finished portioning out dessert for the three of them. "Someone could have heard something awkward."
Rin slammed her fist onto the table and jumped up to her feet in fury. "And what is that supposed to mean!?" She made eye contact with Shirou and growled "Answer carefully."
"Um-" She glanced nervously back and forth between Rin and Saber.
Saber shot her a look that said "don't try it."
"Ah, never mind."
"That's what I thought," Rin said. "If I hear you-"
"Shall we, um, eat?" Saber said, cutting her off.
"Yes, of course," Shirou said, passing out plates.
"Fine..." Rin mumbled, disappointed that her tirade was cut short.
They ate in silence for a few minutes before Shirou asked.
"So, what's your week looking like so far?"
"Oh, the usual," Rin said. "I've got something I need to work on in my cellar, so I'll be attending to that most of the time."
"Right, so in that case I can assume you'll be at breakfast tomorrow?" Shirou asked.
"Of course," Rin replied.
"Yes." Saber nodded happily, wolfing down dessert.
"So are you going home tonight?" Shirou asked.
"I was hoping we could stay in my room tonight," Rin said.
"Oh, that's no problem at all," Shirou said. She frowned. "Is there enough space in the bed there for the two of you?"
"We'll make it work," Rin said. Shirou swore she saw an evil glint in her eye.
Saber made eye contact with Shirou.
"Are you sure? I'm sure I can find an extra mat or bedroll if you need it?"
Before Rin could object Saber said.
"That would be appreciated, Shirou."

Notes:

Day one of Femslash February. Certainly the tightest deadline i've ever held myself to (read: only deadline). This is my first time writing this sort of story, and I think it turned alright for a first attempt. Before you ask, yes, it was inspired by *that* scene in Fate route.

As always, thank you very much for reading. If you'd like to follow me elsewhere, you can find me on tumblr at

Anyways, see you again tomorrow!

Warm Regards,
