Work Text:
It was a dark stormy night, the air itself practically electrified and it was tonight that Kaiba would complete his great work. The halls of Castle Kaiba were emptied, the gates were barred and sealed, and his little brother was put to rest so that no one would interrupt his work. Ignorant fools all of them, the mindless rabble down in the village below and disappointingly Kaiba considered Mokuba in this category as well, but tonight Kaiba would prove them all wrong when his creation would be born and reign supreme.
Dressed in a white rubber overcoat and putting on a pair of matching gloves Kaiba entered the tallest tower of the castle which contained his lab. With noble strides Kaiba walked over to the center of the room and placed a kiss on the forehead of the body laying on the metal table.
"Soon my precious creature, you shall know life!" Kaiba patted your face before beginning the prep work.
Zooming around his lab Kaiba turned on machines left and right; the room filling with zapping and clanking that sounded so beautiful to Kaiba's ears. Flipping another switch his perfected serums ran out from beakers into tubes which ultimately entered his creation's body which would prepare it for the moment of your birth.
With everything almost ready Kaiba began setting up the most crucial part of the creation process, the Great Crystalline Weave. Kaiba knew that just stitching together a few bodies and shocking it with enough electricity wouldn't be enough to imbue it with the aspects of life, he'd just end up with a walking, stumbling, and grumbling zombie - like that hack Frankenstein. No, he needed something that could instill his own creation with not just life, but also muscle memory or knowledge too. After all how could you stretch your hand and take the world if you had nothing more than the mind and motor skills of an infant.
Once Kaiba had found these crystal which could give you knowledge and muscle, he just needed references to code the crystals with. For muscle memory Kaiba used himself as the base, after all he excellent motor skills and reaction speed, but an information source would prove much more difficult to find. Kaiba wanted a creature all its own, he wasn't going to give some unworthy human new life in a strong body. So Kaiba reached out to all the hospitals in the land for amnesiac patients and was eventually able to lure a proper specimen to his castle with the promise of a cure. Naturally Kaiba couldn't do anything for his memories, but he was more than inclined to copy down all the knowledge in his mind then take a few good organs from him.
Kaiba hummed with satisfaction when he configured the last crystal in place on the mesh and attached it on the table above his creation. To finish the last steps Kaiba placed a metal band on your head linked to the weave by cables. When Kaiba stepped down ready to begin the animation process, he couldn't help but stop and admire his you. The band on your head resembled the crown of the king you would become, your body was pale and plain - composed of only the best stitched together parts possible would soon take on such beautiful and horrible features once the serums in your body met with electricity.
Ever since Kaiba was a child he was obsessed with a creature he had read about in one of his father's books. It was written by a French soldier during their invasion of Egypt who had seen and describe an imagine of a creature in an old tomb; it had brilliant white scales, eyes of sharp blue, and breath which could scar the heavens. Kaiba read those words like one might read a bible and Kaiba knew one day he would have to make that beast his own. However, dragons were mindless and savage beasts; Kaiba knew when he was going to make one it would have to be in a more controllable form - that of a human.
Ready to begin Kaiba tightens his goggles and walked over to the central controls before opening the skylight. Rain poured down on the crystals making sounds like windchimes before reaching you. Kaiba turned the crank and the table slowly rose into the sky, the crystals and lightning sang together like a choir gloried by you ascending into the heavens and Kaiba's ascension into godhood. Flipping two more switched the clinking of gears joined the melody as the lightning rods above sank, leaving only one that would channel the great fire of the sky into you.
And now the wait. The wait. The wait. The wait. The song has stopped, halted now only silence remand, the world awaiting for the moment. So suddenly it came crashing and deafening, in all directions instruments were going off and above Kaiba a horrible creaking start and then snap. Like Lucifer's fall from heaven you fell to the earth as the chains holding the table up shattered as well as the crystal weave and Kaiba took cover to avoid the impact. The crystals fell like diamond rain and despite Kaiba's best attempts to hide parts of him were cut by the falling debris. Once the dust had settled ignoring his own well being went to check up on his creature.
Ripping off his goggles Kaiba looked and was almost brought to tears by what he saw - scales of the purest silver dotted your limbs in clusters, the tips of your fingers and toes had turned into most graceful claws, small almost vestigial but nonetheless gorgeous wings and tail had erupted from your back and tailbone respectively, and your hair had turned white as snow.
The serums had worked and you were so beautiful in his eyes, but still he needed one more conformation before he could celebrate. He put his ear to your heart at heard nothing which sank his own, but what would happen next would fill him with more joy than he never knew he could feel. Your body started to life and you took a deep gasp and roar for air, then from your mouth like a geyser a great beam of light erupted and burst into the sky. The sudden tensing caused Kaiba to fall to the ground and when your breath was unleashed he was not scared, he was awe struck. Kaiba quickly got up and looked up into watching as you carved up the heavens like a roast turkey and when the clouds began to burn his eyes only shined brighter.
The beam soon ceased and you fell back to the table exhausted and relieved now that it was over.
"It's alive! It's alive!" Kaiba exclaimed while laughing in such a maniacal fashion. "My glorious creation is alive! Screw the rules of nature, screw god's rules! I have created life!"
Kaiba laughed some more in triumph before turning his attention to you who was crying out and gasping in air. Crawling over to you Kaiba did his best to sooth you while running his fingers through your hair and checking your vitals while leaving you unaware to this. Eventually you began to calm down, your breathing mellowed and you focused on Kaiba who was starring lovingly at you.
"Welcome to the world, my glorious creation." Kaiba murmured while continuing to stroke your hair. "Can you hear me? Can you feel me?"
You nodded to both of his questions.
"Good, good! Can you move as well?"
You wiggled your fingers and toe and that caused Kaiba to smile so deeply, you found it to be pleasant so you reached your hand towards him and he grabbed it and lightly kissed it.
"Absolutely brilliant!" Kaiba quietly beamed, before continuing his questions. "Can you speak, my Creation?"
You struggled to speak, you were overwhelmed with sensory imput; the steel table beneath you, the leather straps holding you down, the rain falling on you. You knew what all of these things should feel like, but instead the table felt like sharp static, the straps burned like itching powder, and the rain was like freezing needles. Fighting through your overstimulation you were able to force out a few words.
"Y-yes." You replied, then spoke another word. "Hurts."
"What hurts, Creation?"
Kaiba had looked you over finding no exterior injuries, so he assumed you had an interior wound. Kaiba mentally cursed himself for this having reinforced your skeletal structure with various metals to avoid such injuries, but then again that fall had been a hard one. Hell if Kaiba hadn't reinforced the tower with steel you'd have probably kept falling until you get the ground level. Continuing to struggle you were eventually able to tell Kaiba what was wrong.
"Table... belts... rain... They burn."
Kaiba looked shocked and frantically ran about undoing your restraints then he pulled you into his arms, hugging you firmly but not too tightly. Away from that dreadful table you took a sigh of relief and settled against Kaiba's chest. Kaiba's rubber overcoat felt good against your like being on a cloud or swimming and was pleasantly warm probably because of his body heat.
"Are you better now, Creation?"
His words broke you out of the almost trance like state you were in and you looked up at him and nodded. Now that you could think more clearly you began to wonder such things like where you were, how you got there, then you questions began piling up continuing you would have to get some answers soon.
"W-where am I, where am I?" You repeated.
"You're home, Creation. Castle Kaiba." Kaiba tittered slightly. "This place is a thousand years old and hardly changed, save for a few modern comforts of course."
"Oh. that's nice."
"Indeed, Creation. Now come with me, I need to run a few tests on you. We'll go slow, it seems like your having a bit of trouble walking."
You tried to protest but focused on walking with Kaiba helping you up, the two of you left the room and went down the stairs very gently until you reached the next floor. Once there Kaiba sat you down and began running his test on you; he checked your throat, eyes, ears, heartbeat, and reflexes, humming with satisfaction after each test. After was all said and done he was practically singing with joy; clearly very happy with you.
"Amazing, absolutely amazing!" Kaiba proclaimed. "My sweet Creation, you are more amazing than I could have hoped for! You are without a doubt the apex of humanoid life!"
You weren't paying attention to many of his words as you still felt confused, but his joy was certainly contagious and you found yourself smiling along with him. But your own smile quickly dimmed when one of his words rang in your mind - 'Creation'. Why did he call you this and why not your name, but suddenly as that thought came into your mind you realized that you didn't know your name. But weird enough you didn't feel any fear or worry about not knowing your name, it was weird and you wanted answers.
"Um..."
"What is it, my Creation? Are you cold? Hungry? Thirsty?"
"W-why do y-you call me y-your creation?"
Kaiba chuckled before taking the seat next to you and wrapping his arm around you.
"That's simple, my sweet Creation. It's because I created you, not 15 minutes ago you were nothing more than raw material until with my superior intelligence and science I was able to bring you into existence!"
This great revelation should have have caused some kind of deep reaction in you, but it didn't - you felt like you and you felt right.
"Y-you created me?"
Kaiba nodded.
"Does that mean your my father?"
Kaiba raised his brow and hummed with curiosity before resting your head on his shoulder.
"I suppose it does, but don't to call me that. If you prefer you could call me Creator or Master, Kaiba like most others do, though if you are comfortable with it you could call me by my first name - Seto."
All these choices were a bit too much for you, after all this was apparently the first time you had been asked to make a choice. However you did know people like to be called by their names usually their firsts one and in an instant had made up your mind.
"Seto."
"Wonderful, my creation." Kaiba praised before kissing the top of your head.
"And what is my name?" You asked.
Kaiba grumbled a bit though you couldn't tell exactly what that meant, whether he was annoyed or upset or whatever else.
"I'm afraid I haven't given you a name. I can give you one if you like, or you could choose your own if it pleases you."
This gave you even more to think about and this time choice was so more infinitely complex. You were tasked with thinking up your own name and you had many to chose from not only male, but female, and gender neutral ones as well. Besides the multitude of choices the philosophical aspects weighed on you as well. You had just been born and now you were being asked to choose your name, it all seemed like too much and it made your brain feel like it was glitching.
A part of you wanted to let Kaiba choose your name, but something deeper and more intense inside of you knew you had to find your name yourself. You got up and headed over to a nearby bookcase, checking out the books on the shelves hopefully to find whatever you were looking for.
Kaiba had followed you and remained close behind, fearing you might fall over or something else bad might happen to you. You flipped through book after book almost at a breakneck pace, throwing them on the floor when you were done with them. The books were mostly about science which made sense given Kaiba was a scientist of some sort, though some were concerning history, myth, and a few classics. After tossing one more book on the floor you, it was then when what would be your name popped into your mind. A random little name you couldn't remember which book you found it, but it was perfect, a fine title that felt right to you. You turned to Kaiba and grabbed his hand with such a happy look on your face.
"I'm (Y/N), Seto." You declared.
"Hmmmm, (Y/N)? Yes, (Y/N). What a perfect name for you, my beautiful creation!" Kaiba proudly accepted and cupped your face with his hands. "A cultured name, a regal and perfect name and you will wear it so well, like a crown for the king you are!"
You again ignored most of what Kaiba said and just vibed on his good mood. Then all of a sudden you began to yawn which caused Kaiba to duck to the ground quicker than a bat out of hell. Once Kaiba was sure you wouldn't unleash another burst stream he stood back up. Tiredness washed over you so suddenly, your eyes were becoming heavy and you yawned again. Kaiba cooed while put a hand to your face and you leaned into it wanting to use it as a pillow.
"Are you tired, (Y/N)?"
You nodded.
"Hmmmhmmm I surmise being born would be quiet exhausting. Come I'll find you a place to lie down."
Kaiba let you walk on your own until you reached the staircase, then he helped you again and together you walked slowly down the stairs until you reached the ground floor. He sat you down on the bottom step insisting you needed a quick break then stepped away for the moment before coming back with a wheelchair.
He asked for you to sit in it, you protested stating you didn't need it but he wouldn't have any of it and you surrendered and got into it while he wheeled you off to wherever. As you rode through the halls of his castle you couldn't help but be amazed by the fact that his castle matched the images in your mind of castles. At first you thought all this was a bit tacky for a man with Seto's personality, but then again you really didn't know much about it and you had spent all your life so far with him.
Soon you two came to a door at a dead end and he opened it before wheeling you inside. It was a very big bedroom but you quickly ignored everything else when you saw the larger than life bed in the center. The sheets shined the same brilliant silver as your scales and once Kaiba stopped the chair you practically pounced on it and groaned upon feeling the soft silk on your skin. Kaiba giggled upon seeing you sprawling out on the bed and sat down right next to you.
"Enjoying my bed, (Y/N)?"
"Yessssss...." You moaned while stretching out your limbs, but upon hearing you were laying on his bed you felt a bit awkward you were taking his bed. "This is your bed?"
"Don't worry, creation. You can have it for the night while I get a room set up for you." Kaiba stated while rubbing your head. "Oh, I almost forgot! Would you like something to wear to bed, (Y/N)? My clothes are a bit big for you, but they'll fit good enough."
You looked over at Kaiba confused but then he pointed down and you realized that you were naked. You began to blush the deepest red and you instinctively covered your crotch, not wanting him to see your manhood. He giggled again from your actions and placed reassuredly hand on your shoulder.
"Don't be ashamed, creation. It's nothing I haven't seen or attached to you before. Though I suppose your reactions gave me your answer."
You nodded and Kaiba got up to get some clothes from his wardrobe, and handed them to you. Despite Kaiba's reassurances you still felt quite awkward and quickly shimmed into his clothes then adjusted your tail and wings for comfort once the clothes were on.
"All better, (Y/N)?"
You nodded again and now that your nervousness had passed you realized just how tired you were; giving a great big yawn and your eyelids felt like lead. You wiggled up to the which were so silky smooth and soft and crawled underneath the sheets like a wyrm. You hummed happily while wrapping yourself in those smooth and warm covers, you were moments for sleep when Kaiba placed a kiss on your temple which elicited another hum from you before falling under.
"Good night, (Y/N). You have a big day ahead of you, my wonderous creation!"
Kaiba quietly left the room as not to wake you from sleep and began making a list of things he had to do before he could sleep as well. Though Kaiba didn't think he'd sleep tonight one way or another, he was too excited having created you. This night was the night of his greatest triumph and tomorrow he'd be able to show you off to the world. He was sure that the people in the village below saw your mighty stream which burned Heaven and that in the morning they'd come for answers, most likely at gunpoint.
But no amount of firearms could stop him now, not when he had you. Those villagers would bend the knee to him, or else he would have them reduced nothing. Yes, he would make them all submit but the village below would just be the beginning because Kaiba was nothing if not a man of ambition. He would make the whole nation submit, rule as king or emperor with you at his side.
