Chapter Text
The first time Jin saw him was mid semester, he was a transfer student from busan. He had the fluffiest pair of ears ever, both flopped on the sides of his head as he muttered his introduction shyly. His cheeks were red and his eyes were wide. His beauty was pure, and it threw Seokjin off. So his initial instinct was to embarrass him, sliding his foot to the side before successfully pushing the bunny hybrid over. A smirk graced his handsome features, soon falling when he saw the glisten of the tear drops in the bunny’s eyes, his lip tucked between his teeth.
“Watch where you’re going.” Jin says cooly, trying to keep his posture steady. The class was dead silent, everyone watching as Jungkook stood up slightly before dusting himself off and bowing. A small mutter of an apology fell from his lips, his eyes meeting Jin’s a final time as he turned and sat on his designated seat. Guilt crept up Jin’s neck as he could barely hear the small sniffles the bunny hybrid was making.
Their second interaction was similar, only Jungkook had collided into him whilst holding a tray of food. Jin immediately cursed at him, yelling profanities left and right before his wolf heard a whimper escaping the bun’s mouth. He looked frightened, visibly shaking as he stared at Jin with those wide eyes again. Jin paused, letting out a frustrated sigh before leaving the cafeteria. Everyone stared at Jungkook, because not only had he managed to piss the Alpha off. He had also managed to get himself out of one of the Alpha’s temper tantrums.
Jin walked back to his class, his shirt damp and stained as he entered with a frown. His desk had a stack of neatly written notes, alongside a written apology.
Sorry for ruining your notes earlier, I hope my notes will make up for the mess I’ve caused you.
-Jungkook x
The third time Seokjin saw him was in the library. He had been paired up with the younger for one of his class projects, and since no one wanted to be paired with the short-tempered wolf despite his handsome looks, they left him with the new guy. He placed his books on the table, across from Jungkook who seemed to be in his own little world with his earphones in. He sat and stared at the boy until he looked up and got a shock, jumping up in his seat as it scraped across the library floor. The librarian shot him a small glare, causing him to bow in apology before he sat back down again.
“May I help you?” He asked, his ears flopping to the back of his head.
“We’re supposed to be working on that project together.”
“Oh, the one for debate, right?”
“Yes. Did you take down the material?” Jin placed his notes in front of the bunny hybrid, watching him carefully place his reading glasses on before picking them up. He read through everything Jin wrote, nodding along as he slid his own notes over.
“You’ve got some valid points but I think we should look into the evidence that the opposing team has and find some flaws.” Jungkook said, unintentionally standing up before sitting besides the wolf hybrid, getting into his space. He leaned over to grab a pen before realizing what he was doing, blushing profusely as he backed away and pushed his glasses up. “Sorry.”
“You have three seconds to go back to your seat before I make a scene.” Jin said stiffly, counting under his breath before letting out a sigh of relief. That sweet lavender smell had invaded his lungs and now all he could think about was the way the bunny hybrids glasses looked pretty on him. Jungkook scurried away, sitting back down before checking his phone.
“Oh shit. I’ve got to go.” Jungkook stood up, packing his things away as neatly as he could witht he few seconds he could spare. He shot the alpha a quick glance, biting his lip as he quickly scribbled his number on a piece of scrap paper before sliding it over. “Text me when you’re free to study.” He said before rushing out.
Jin looked at him incredulously, finding it quite odd that Jungkook, a bunny hybrid may I add, had given him his number. No one had ever given Seokjin their number, so he was quite surprised that the bunny had given it to him with zero hesitation. This is the first time someone had been so forward with him. This is also the first time he’s blushed in public. He slammed his book shut and walked to the male dormitory as quickly as he could.
Once he was in his comfort place, he threw his things on the desk and landed face first on his bed. He scrambled around in frustration, picking up his notebook once his blankets were messed up and crinkly. He decided to write a letter to the bunny hybrid, pouring his frustrations into the book.
𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘑𝘦𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘰𝘬.
𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘥, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘱𝘪𝘥 𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘧𝘧𝘺 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘵𝘵𝘰𝘯-𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦, 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘴𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘬𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦. 𝘋𝘰 𝘐 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶?
You reek of lavender and your stupid glasses can barely fit your eyes. Also, Why do you bite your lip so much? It throws me off and it's even more annoying when you do it unintentionally.
I hated the way you leaned over me too, I had to hold my breath otherwise it’d look like I’d devour you. Not that I would though, I’m way too out of your league. You’ve been invading my thoughts ever since the moment you walked into our class.
I don’t know why, maybe I’m sick? Ugh now you’re making me ramble. That’s my problem with you though, you keep me frustrated and aware. My wolf goes absolutely feral in your presence and when you’re away I feel empty.
These feelings are new to me, and for the first time ever I feel scared. Keep in mind that nothing scares me either. Ughh what am I even talking about? I’m going to end this letter on a good note though and give you the benefit of doubt since I’ve met you only a handful of times.
Hmm, now I suddenly want to buy some Lavender for my room, it could do with a bit of decoration.
-Jin.
A few months had passed and Jin had successfully become acquainted with the bunny hybrid. Just barely though since they only share greetings and short nods as they walk past each other. Jin’s wolf had finally calmed down after month two but something inside him had been craving something different. Which is why he found himself on a blind date with a random Omega from one of his classes. He was an alright guy, Jin’s ideal type actually.
His ears were stiff and pointy, always on alert around Jin. His fur was soft and white, his tail beautifully brushed. His eyes were a pretty light gray too, but something was missing. They didn’t have the same type of purity and genuinity like a certain Bunny hybrid’s.The alpha could sense his discomfort, and it's putting him off.
“Good evening, My name is Jeon Jungkook and I will be serving your dinner tonight.” Jin flicks his head towards the sound, eyes catching Jungkook’s own. The omega seemed to catch on to their little tension as he licked his lips and linked his hand with Jin’s own. Jungkook’s eyes flicked down to their linked hands, before he shook his head and went back to his professional manner. “May I interest you in our delicious steak meal? Not my personal favourite but it’s still delicious!”
“What’s your favorite dish?” Jin asks, pulling his hand out of the Omegas before resting his chin upon it. Jungkook seemed to be taken aback by his question, the familiar blush creeping up his neck and resting on his cheeks. The Omega scoffed, muttering something under his breath.
“My favorite dish would be the shrimp and scallop pasta!” Jungkook says enthusiastically. Jin orders that along with a drink, shooting a confused glance towards his date when he begins to act rude towards the bunny hybrid. Jungkook comes back ten minutes later with their plates in his hand, giving Jin a warm smile before walking away.
“How pathetic.” Junghwan, Jin’s date, says, taking a bite of his steak that he just cut. Jin shoots him a confused look, finishing his bite before answering.
“Excuse me?”
“Don’t act so oblivious.” The omega says pettily, cutting his steak harshly. “He obviously has a crush on you! Too bad for him though, his crush is on a date with the prettiest omega in school.” And the omega was right. He was definitely the prettiest Omega he had ever laid eyes on. But his looks could barely rival the Bunny hybrid's smile alone.
“Yeah, that is too bad.” Jin says sarcastically, finishing his dinner quickly. When done, he leaves a couple of bills on the table and walks out of the restaurant before the omega could catch up.
“Hey! Let’s talk about our next date.”
“Sorry, Junghwan. There will be no next date, I’m just not interested or ready. Hope you understand.” Jin fakes a pout before a smirk graced his features.
“You think I care?” A scoff. “One day you’re going to end up as heart broken as you leave people, and then you’re going to regret being an asshole alpha who cares for no one but himself. Nobody is going to love someone like you and if they do end up falling in love, they won’t stick around. You’re not only selfish, but you’re a coward.” The omega said, walking away shortly after. Jin scoffed, rolling his eyes at what the omega had just implied. Tch whatever he thinks, pulling out a cigarette. Before he could light it, the smoke was snatched out of his mouth and thrown on to the ground.
“Smoking is bad for you.” That familiar voice rang through his ears. Seokjin gave him a short glance before scoffing and placing another cigarette in his mouth. This time he lit it and took a deep inhale, blowing the smoke out effortlessly. “I’m being serious.” The bunny hybrid tried to snatch the cigarette again before the alpha caught his arm.
“What are you doing, Jeon?” Jin glared lightly at him. Jungkook merely rolled his eyes, already used to the Alpha’s short-temper before he snatched the cigarette and inhaled it himself. He immediately let out a series of harsh coughs, wheezing loudly as Jin patted his back and snatched the cigarette. “You’re quite gutsy aren’t you?” Jin teases, but his eyes immediately flashes with worry when the wheezing doesn’t stop.
He immediately gets into action, taking his jacket off before setting it on the pavement next to the restaurant. The alpha brings the younger to sit down on his jacket and keep his back straight against the wall.
“Do you have an inhaler?” Jungkook nods as best as he could, pointing towards the restaurant.
“B-bag! My bag!” He manages to sputter out. His face is pale and sweaty. Jin immediately runs through the restaurant, slams through the employee break room and asks one of the waitresses which bag was Jungkooks. He grabs the bag and throws all his things on the floor before grabbing the inhaler and running back outside.
“Here, open your mouth and take a deep breath when I say.” Jin holds his chin and pulls his bottom lip down. “Three, two, one, inhale.” He holds the inhaler against the bunnies mouth, pushing the nozzle down as Jungkook takes a breath. “Stay calm.” He carries on a few more times until Jungkook begins to breathe easier. His eyes were teary and hands were shaky as he pulled Jin into a hug.
“You stupid bunny, why would you risk your life like that?” Jin says in annoyance, yet his hand snakes around the younger's waist and rests on his back.
“Promise you won’t smoke ever again!” Jungkook whispers, eyes glossy as they look into the wolf’s. Jin stares at him for a short moment before sighing and linking his pinky with Jungkook’s.
“I promise.”
From that day forward, Jin’s life flipped around miraculously. He found himself staring at the bunny hybrid at random moments of the day. During class, in the library, in the cafeteria where he’s laughing with his friends. Jin found himself endeared by the younger male, intrigued even. He goes back to his dorm one night and begins to pour his thoughts into another page of his note book.
Jeon,
You’ve been on my mind for the past two weeks and it bothers me. It bothers me because no one has gained my attention the way you do. I find myself smiling more whenever you’re around and I feel a slight sense of fear whenever you aren’t.
The short greetings we share in the halls makes my day and the times I don’t see you, I try to seek you out. I guess you aren’t that terrible, just barely tolerable though. Don’t get me wrong, you still fucking annoy me, but I will let it slide since you bought me a coffee this morning.
You’re still stuttering around me though. Am I that bad? I hope you get over that habit soon. Hopefully you feel that you can be yourself around me like how you are with Taehyung.
I heard you singing while I was passing the music class during lunch. I have to say, you have some pure talent. I’m looking forward to the next time I see you.
-Seokjin.
“What are you doing tonight?” He finally asks Jungkook. Jungkook looks away nervously, going back to his habit of biting his lip.
“Actually I uh… I’ve got a date.”
“Oh, really?” Jin says, disappointment as well as embarrassment clear in his eyes. Jungkook nods, his ears flopping as he does so. Jin hides the bouquet of Gardenias he had personally picked from his mothers garden.
“Yeah. He’s a really nice guy, I think—
“I have to go. I’ll see you another time, yeah?” Jin says before scurrying off into the opposite direction. Later that night Jin scrolled on his phone, about to turn it off and call it a night until a message popped up.
🐰❤️
Hey.
Are you still awake?
🐺
What's up?
🐰❤️
Can you meet me in the courtyard?
Right next to the fountain.
🐺
Be there soon.
Jin threw his leather jacket on, still in his pajamas as he styled his hair and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He put his hamster shaped slippers on and grabbed his key before leaving. Never had he ever moved so fast in his entire life. He sprinted down the stairs and outside, eyes immediately landing on the bunny hybrid. His cheeks were red and his ears were covered with white ear muffs.
When Jin had gotten closer, he could see the faint tear stains on his face and his wolf had gone absolutely feral. He kept himself tame as he approached the younger. Jungkook looked up before throwing himself into the wolf's arms, a sob escaping his lips. Jin patted his back in confusion. Once he managed to calm the bunny down, he brought him a coffee from one of the vendors. He watched the bunny sip the coffee silently, a million questions in his mind.
“So… He stood me up.” Jungkook says, looking into the distance.
“What a fool.”
“Excuse me?”
“He’s a fool.” Jin speaks sternly. He looks Jungkook in the eye again, anger flashing through his own as he saw the bunnies' sad ones. “He’s an idiot and he missed a perfectly good opportunity to date the prettiest boy in our school.” Jungkook stared at him with wide eyes.
“You really think so?” A sniffle.
“Oh, I know so.” Jin said. “He’s a stupid guy who probably only thinks with his dick, sorry for my language, and he doesn’t see the good in people. You’re made for gold— No diamonds! He’s blind if he can’t see how great you are!— oh. ” Jin stops his rambling when Jungkook kisses his cheek. His tail wags behind him and he feels embarrassment creeping up his neck.
“Thank you for making my night.” Jungkook said, shyly pursing his lips with a blush. Jin proceeds to lean forward and kiss his cheek too, catching the pretty bunny off guard. Both of their blushes deepen, too shy to say anything now.
“I better get going.” Jungkook whispers, casting his eyes downwards, his ears perked up on top of his head. The wolf has to stop himself from howling in happiness when the younger kisses his cheek once more before leaving. He watched his silhouette until it disappeared into the distance before jumping up on his feet and dancing like a maniac. He ran towards his dorm as fast as he ran out, sweat dripping down his forehead as he grabbed his notebook and slammed it on his desk, writing every single thing that was on his mind.
Dearest Jungkook,
You finally did it. You made me fall in love with you. I don’t know how or why but you did. You occupy my every thought and you frustrate me, in a good way this time.
Many people never know the time they fall in love, but I’m going to take a wild guess. Maybe it was the first time you walked in class where I fell. You had the softest face I’ve seen and I mistaken my fast beating heart as fear rather than admiration.
I love how your ears perk up just the slightest when you talk to me, and when they flop back down every time you pout. I love your shy smiles and small giggles whenever you’re around me, I love it even more when you kissed my cheek tonight.
Around you I feel the most vulnerable, I can barely even control my wolf in your presence. My wolf loves you just as much as I do. Now I have to actually find the courage to ask you on a date again.
P.S you’re very pretty when you wear glasses.
-Love, Jin.
Jin is absolutely knackered. After four failed attempts of asking Jungkook on a date, he’s so close to giving up. His first attempt he had approached him during class, but the teacher had cut him off before he could say anything. Jungkook walked up to him tight after class and asked what he was going to say, but Seokjin had already lost the courage to ask him out so he made something up on the spot.
The second failed attempt was when he walked up to Jungkook during lunch. He decided that he would sit with him and eat and just casually slip in something about the movies. It would’ve gone perfectly had Hoseok, Jin’s best friend, not joined the two of them and took Jungkook’s attention away from him. Seokjin sulked all lunch time, pettily leaving Hoseok behind when he began to talk about how great Jungkook was.
The third attempt was when he invited him out to coffee, and he swore it was going to be a success. But somehow Jungkook ended up at the coffee shop on the other side of the city. Jin groaned loudly, grumpily packing his things away and changing his coffee order to go. That night he began to get even more determined to win a date with the bunny.
He invited Jungkook out to an arcade. It was all fun and games until he saw Hoseok crashing their supposed “ date ”, arms linked with Jungkook’s cat hybrid friends, Yoongi and Jimin. Even more exciting when Namjoon and Taehyung joined. Jungkook’s attention was suddenly taken off him as he now challenged the others at random games. Jin pouted and sulked for the rest of the afternoon, until they all went out for barbecue because free food can cure a pining heart.
He sighed, accepting his fate that he and Jungkook weren’t meant to be. Just as he was about to go back to his dorm, a furious bunny hybrid came charging at him, grabbing his wrist and dragging him towards the nearest janitor's closet. He flicked the light switch on and glared right into the wolf’s eyes.
“Why haven’t you asked me out on a date yet?” Jungkook squinted his eyes, a pout on his lips. “Its been three weeks since I’ve kissed your cheek, I expected you to ask me out that very night but I guess I underestimated you.”
“Jungkook, I—
“Buh buh buh! No excuses this time mister, pick me up from my dorm room, number 097, on friday night.” Jungkook says firmly, turning on his heel before leaving the closet. Jin stood there silently, shaking his head at the sudden realization. All it took was a little riling up the bunny for him to score a date. If he had known sooner, he would’ve just sat there and let fate do all the work.
The night of their date comes sooner than Jin expected. He double checks everything before showering and picking up his favorite bunny hybrid, not forgetting to grab the bouquet of flowers he made from his mother’s garden. He had everything planned perfectly, going by his amazing five step plan of wooing Jungkook.
Seokjin’s amazing five step plan consisted of:
- One) compliment Jungkook on his outfit and give him flowers.
- Two) cook a perfect dinner for Jungkook.
- Three) Hold Jungkook’s hand and cuddle while watching a movie. Preferably tangled.
- Four) woo Jungkook with a few jokes.
- Five) kiss Jungkook.
It's absolutely foolproof. He adjusts his clothes, patting himself down before holding up a fist to knock before the door swings open. Jungkook looked absolutely stunning. He wore loose pants, belted perfectly against his thin waist paired with a white sweater that engulfed his upper half. The fit was plain but Jungkook pulled it off as if it was made from the greatest fashionaire. He was speechless.
One) compliment Jungkook on his outfit and give him flowers.
“Y-you look— umm decent.” The wolf offers, holding out his homemade bouquet. The flowers were held in a tight grip, some of them drooping over. Jungkook smiled at him, taking the flowers and telling the wolf he will be back. He reappeared after a minute or so, linking his arm with the alpha’s as he led the way. Jungkook’s vanilla scent invaded his nostrils, Jin almost passed out from the intoxication.
“So, where are we headed tonight?”
“I was thinking we could make pizza at my parents place tonight.” Jin said, opening the door for the bunny. He leaned in to buckle the younger’s seatbelt, making sure to linger a bit longer to shake the bunny hybrid up with his own scent. Jungkook could only giggle shyly.
“Thank you kind sir.”
“Anyways, as I was saying before, we are making pizza tonight. I already have the dough prepared.” Jin gives Jungkook a quick look before stopping at the stop light. “You look beautiful tonight.”
“I took your breath away, didn’t I?” Jungkook smirks, watching the light go green as they carry on driving. The wolf scoffs loudly, rolling his eyes as he pulls into a lavish parking garage. Jungkook's eyes double in size as he stares at the white garage open for the two of them.
“What? Did I take your breath away, darling?” The wolf now smirks, feeling a bit cocky now that he’s finally gotten the upper hand. Jungkook slaps his shoulder playfully, leaning back into his seat. The two made their way into Jin’s home, the alpha leading him towards the dining area. “My parents are out with their friends for the weekend, so we have the house to ourselves.”
“Cool.” Jungkook stands awkwardly at the doorway, catching the apron Jin throws his way. He stares at the pink apron confusedly, eyebrow raising as he glanced back up to the wolf. Two) cook a perfect dinner for Jungkook.
“Come on now, darling. You can decorate your side of the pizza.” Jin says, acting all domestic as he connects his phone to the bluetooth speaker before twirling the bunny hybrid around. Jungkook squeals loudly, holding the wolf’s shoulders to keep himself steady.
“You’re silly.” He giggles. They both washed their hands thoroughly, drying it with a few paper towels. Jungkook waits by their counter as the alpha grabs his pre-prepped dough and some ingredients.
“Jungkook-ah, can you grab the knife and cutting board for hyung?” Jin says from the fridge door before closing it. Jungkook places the board and knife on the bench, beginning to help the alpha unwrap and peel their toppings. They laughed and flirted with each other, Jin walking behind the younger to help him with the knife, backing up as the younger whined and said he could handle the food by himself.
“Let’s be cliché and make it a heart shape.” Jungkook says. Jin nods, placing the dough on their tray before shaping it. Jungkook helped put the sauce and cheese on, leaving the rest of the work for the wolf hybrid as he sipped on his glass of wine. Jin’s sleeves were rolled up, giving Jungkook the perfect view to drool over. He asked Jungkook if it looked alright, and the bunny hybrid nodded. “Looks perfectly fine to me, hyung!”
“Eyes up here, bun.”
“Nah, I think I’m fine with the sight in front of me.” Jungkook sips the rest of his wine, feeling a bit tipsy as he watches the elders put their pizza in the oven. He approached the older and cupped his face, eyes falling on the wolf's lips. “I think the wine is getting to my head, wolfie hyung. I suddenly want to kiss you so badly.”
“Okay that’s the alcohol talking.”
“No! I only had a few sips.” Jungkook pouts, puckering his lips as he leaned forward. Jin freezes when he feels a soft pair of lips against his own. Now, he had kissed many many people before, but Jungkook? Nothing comes close to the feeling he had the moment their lips connected. No one compares to the bunny hybrid. The wolf in him howled happily.
“Bun, we—.” Jin pulls away to speak, only to get cut off by the eager bunny. “Darling, as much as I love kissing you, we have to keep an eye on the pizza otherwise it’ll burn.”
“You’re right.” Jungkook places his hands behind his back. The two made eye contact again before the bunny hybrid pounced on him and held him close. Jin tilts his head to deepen the kiss, lifting the bunny hybrid by the thighs before sitting him on the bench top. Jungkook wrapped his legs around the wolf's waist tugging him deeper. They continued basking in each other's scents before the fire alarm went off.
Safe to say Jin’s list was long forgotten. They did end up watching their movie, eating their burnt pizza, or as Jungkook likes to say “special flavored.”. Jin wouldn’t want their night to be any other way though, just as long as his bun is happy, so is he.
