Kai pressed the call button, his heart fluttering. He was going to call his beautiful lover, Audra. They had met only a few months ago, and yet, he felt he was going to marry her.
She picked up the phone, her soft voice coming through is phone.
“Kai? My love, what is happening?” Her voice was raw and low, indicating she was tired.
“Ah, apologies, did I wake you?”
“Don’t worry about it, dear. Whatever you have to say is much more important. So, what is it?” Kai’s slight guilt was immediately washed away as he remembered what he called for.
“Oh, right. Well.. I was wondering if you were busy later?” His heart was beating out of his chest, just the thought of going out with her made him giddy.
“Are you asking me out? I would love to!! What time?” Audra seemed full of energy already, Kai was happy.
“Uhm, I was thinking 2pm? And I figured I would come pick you up.” His cheeks turned red as he imagined her, all dressed up just for him.
“Of course!! I’ll be ready by then. Do you have an idea of a date?”
“Yes, but I think I’ll keep it as a surprise.”
“Alright, I’ll see you later then, my dear.” Audra hung up, and Kai put a hand to his chest. He was going to see his love!! He blushed like a lovesick school girl, and decided to prepare himself.
Finally, it was 14:45 and Kai set off to pick up Audra. He sent a quick text, and walked to her doorstep. The door opened and revealed Audra in all her beauty. He looked her up and down, admiring her well put together outfit. A cute white dress, a fuzzy pink cardigan over top, sweet white stockings and a my melody purse to complete the look.
She looked stunning.
They stopped to stare at eachother for a moment, before Audra piped up.
“So uh.. how do I look?” Audra blushed, looking away slightly.
“Amazing..” Kai felt lucky that he was the one to see her beauty, and that he got to call her his.
“We should get going!” Audra seemingly snapped back to reality, and they both made their way to his car.
They arrived a couple minutes later at a beautiful park, many flowers blooming, sakura petals falling from trees. Audra was taken aback. It was so pretty, where did he find this place?
Kai stepped out of the car and opened the door for Audra. She too exited the car and Kai told her to find a spot to sit. She found a beautiful spot in the open field, where the sun shone beautifully. Kai made his way over, a basket in hand.
Audra gasped lightly.
“A picnic? Who are you, the rizzler?” Kai let out a chuckle. With the help of Audra, everything was set up quickly.
Audra took a bite out of the cake, while Kai poured a glass of wine for the both of them.
“Kai!! This is so delicious!! Where did you buy it??” Audra squealed, stars in her eyes.
“I made it.”
“WHAAAAT??? YOU MADE THIS?!?! IS SO BEAUTIFUL, SO DELICIOUS, WHERE DID YOU FIND THE TIME TO MAKE IT?!” Audra exclaimed. She knew her boyfriend was talented, but this was on a whole other level!!!!
“I started it yesterday.” He told her, looking away bashfully.
“You.. you’ve been planning this since yesterday?! Awww, Kaiiiii…” She could not believe how cute he was being right now!!!
“Actually, I’ve been planning even since before then…”
“Kaiii…”
….
“Kai, do you hear that?”
“An ice cream truck. Do you want some?”
“Yes!!!! You go get it, I’ll protect our food!!” Audra put her hands on her hips, acting stronger than she is.
“What flavour?”
“Chocolate!! Here, take my money—“ Kai pushed her hand away and quickly left before she could say more.
He returned shortly with a chocolate ice cream for Audra, and a plain vanilla ice cream for himself. Audra gave him an odd stare.
“Is something wrong?? Do you not like the flavour?” Kai suddenly felt rather worried.
“No it’s just… vanilla is such a basic flavour. Is that your actual choice???” Kai felt relieved, but also now confused.
“… Vanilla is the only flavour I’ve ever tried.” Audra gasped at this.
“What?! Here, try some of mine immediately!!!” She shoved the ice cream cone in his face and he took a small lick.
“Oh… that is really nice.”
“Right?!”
They fell into a comfortable silence. It was lovely. They enjoyed their ice cream and watched as the sky slowly turned orange.
“.. Kai?”
“Yes, my love?”
Audra put her free hand over his.
“I think.. I think I really love you. I want to be with you forever.” Kai turned his reddening face towards Audra, at a loss for words.
“I know its only been a few months but I really love you, Kai.” She then put her hand on his face, leaned in and..
gave him a quick peck on the lips. She looked away, her face red, and her thoughts wild. Kai put his hand on her face, copying her previous actions. Their lips met once again, but this time for longer. After a few long seconds, they both pulled away to let themselves breathe.
“Oh, Kai….” Audra breathed out, her voice a low whisper.
“Audra…” They looked into eachothers eyes once again, then looked back up to the sky.
Then the police cuffed Kai up because Kai is an adult while Audra is not. Audra sobbed for her love, watching as they took him away. She cried, her heart shattering.
“KAI!! NO!!! PLEASE, I CAN’T LOSE HIM!!! KAII!!!!!”
