Frisk wasn’t a braggart. Really, they weren’t. It was simply a fact that they had a talent for knowing whenever they were the object of someone’s affections.
And Flowey was definitely interested in them. Frisk, in return, was extremely interested in him. They had been for a long time, and now that they knew the interest was mutual, it was time to act.
Who knew a dodgeball game could contain so much UST? When Frisk wasn’t occupied by Chara trying to decapitate them, their eyes kept being drawn to Flowey.
Most of the time, he was looking back. And every time Frisk got all tingly. This was starting to become a Problem.
And that’s why they were currently staring at the locker room door, steeling themself to go in. They knew Flowey had gone there first (and they knew, like them, he'd waited until it would be empty) but they weren’t sure if he was still in there, and a hundred (deliciously) inappropriate thoughts were crashing around their brain right now.
“Get a hold of yourself, perv,” they muttered. Then they pushed open the door and marched in “Flow— oh.”
Chara had Flowey efficiently kabedon’d against a locker (10/10, Frisk thought). Both of them were wearing strikingly similar looks of surprise at Frisk’s entrance, but Flowey’s stayed frozen while Chara’s face transformed into cat-like amusement.
“Can I help you?” they said pleasantly.
Inside Frisk’s hoodie pocket, one of their hands clenched.
Chara and Flowey hadn't changed yet. Neither had Frisk, but. Flowey was clearly... distressed, and Chara... Chara looked really good in the school's athletics attire and why was Frisk realizing that now?!
"I saw him first," said Frisk.
Well, fuck.
Chara laughed uproariously, stumbling away from the locker; Flowey just spluttered out a "What?!", seemingly glued to the locker door.
"You are adorable," Chara said, wiping tears from their eyes.
Frisk wanted to be angry. They were, but only a little. Chara calling them that made their stomach go all wobbly and now they were distracted.
And so: Flirt mode.
"You shouldn't flatter me," they said, closing the distance between them, "unless you're prepared to follow up." They didn't touch Chara, just leaned into the Kiss Zone and smiled at them.
Chara's cheeks went very slightly pink.
Frisk 1, Chara 0.
Except Chara kissed them.
It was a quick kiss, and they moved away quicker, leaving Frisk staring dumbfoundedly at Flowey's bright red (stupidly pretty) face.
"Well," Chara was saying, "things have gotten a good deal more interesting, haven't they?"
"That was a dirty move," Frisk hissed, finally turning to look at them. And I liked it!!!
"Surely you know I won't let him go without a fight."
"Seriously?! Don't I get a say in this?" Flowey finally spoke, his voice somehow husky and cracking at the same time. He'd unpeeled himself from the locker but hadn't moved otherwise.
Despite themself, Frisk smiled at him. "You've been saying plenty, petal," they said.
Then they choked as they realized Chara was echoing them. "You've said quite a lot—" Their eyes widened as they realized the same thing.
Flowey blinked at them both. He seemed strangely languid, despite his condition.
And damn if that didn't make Frisk want to pounce on him. They jumped, instead, when Chara's hand touched their arm.
"Truce?" they said, smiling deviously.
"Yeah. Truce."
Usually Frisk tried to think things through more, but they were too full of nameless anticipation to care. They moved toward Flowey, backing him into the locker yet again.
Busy staring at his freckles, they could still feel Chara near them, covering Flowey's other side.
His blush had begun to fade, but his eyes were pine-needle dark now as they flicked from Chara to Frisk and back. "G-Golly," he said, with nervous laughter but a half-knowing smile, "what the hell's gotten into you two?"
"Some kind of pollen, I'd say," Frisk said, voice remarkably calm over their pounding heart.
Chara huffed a laugh. Flowey shivered.
And Frisk's last coherent thought, as they slid one hand into Flowey's hair and leaned in, was How is this my life right now?
