Work Text:
It's about time, the prolonged war between the still-standing factions was over.
Whereof felt like decades, it was finally done.
After all of these months, after a long time of conflict.
At last, it was the end. The end of a grand, glorious tale.
However, it indeed left ginormous amounts of fragments,
Of what once were glorious structures and nations.
The physical scars of the conflict were still utterly evident, as known structures within the server lay in ruins and several locations were dotted with lots of craters. The once-bustling places lay in nothing but ashes and debris, the once-thriving builds were left in shambles of chaos. As perceptible as it is, of course, everyone was left to pick up the broken pieces, to try and make sense of the harsh world that had been left in its wake. However, as much as everyone tries their best to reconstruct the whole world once again and heal its already blemish wounds, they just simply can't.
It should be crystal clear by now, honestly.
How do you really expect to rebuild what you've destroyed by your own hands?
Do you anticipate being able to repeat what was already done getting shattered and scattered?
If we're all going to be apparent here, the answers to those questions are pretty much obvious.
So at the end of everything else, why fight a losing battle when you've already lost in the first place?
Why not, just completely restart?
Where it all started.
Where a new dawn will take its place once again after the long night that was originally started by the past sunset.
As they say, the end of one chapter is the start of another, and the story continues.
Every end marks a new beginning, indeed.
Which is the start of something new.
Another chance to start fresh and pursue what you want to do.
And in every starting point, there are some people that might come along your way.
They might be teammates, allies, business partners, or enemies.
Nonetheless, they'll still join you in your new journey.
And Savannah is one of those people.
The second season of the Lifesteal SMP was about to begin in the next few minutes.
And apparently, Sav was invited by the owner of the server to come and join the server.
She would be completely lying if she said she didn't expect this coming.
Because she judges, Leo must have somewhat influenced her being sent an invitation.
Perhaps he did slightly force the server owner to invite her, he confesses that.
But it's because he sees that she has the potential to become one of the SMP members, and Sav thanks him for that.
As she quickly logs onto the newly-created server, she feels a sense of excitement and anticipation combined with a bit of nervousness. This is a fresh start, a new chance to make a noticeable mark on the dazzling world, build something great, meet new friends, and overall, have fun doing it. Everyone has the freedom to do whatever they want, to build anything they desire, and to live life on their own terms—that is, as long as they follow the basic server rules and mechanics, of course.
Right after she entered the server, she immediately catches a look at the noisy cluster of people right near the spawn. She decides to join the loud clump for a slight moment, to take a quick glance at everyone else within the SMP at least. As much as she tries to identify and know who is who, she doesn't have a literal single clue about any of these people, unfortunately. She continuously peeks at every single of everyone she can see right now, until a sudden question hits her, "Where's Leo?"
She curiously tries to take a glimpse in every single direction trying to find the only person she knew and the only friend she have on the server; Well, until she suddenly gets pulled on her right arm, as she was slowly taken within the Savanna forest that just happens to be somewhere nearby. As she peeks at the person pulling her continuously, her eyes widen as she yells loudly, "Leo, what in the world are you doing?!"
They slowly arrived in the said forest, and Leo finally let go of his grip on Sav's right arm. The ginger-haired lady glares at the guy standing in front of her right now, however, before she could even shout at him because that move caught off her guard; He finally speaks, cutting Sav off from shouting instead, "Jeez. Chill out, Sav. Chillax."
The latter simply gives him a plain gaze instead as a response, then deeply sighs. "I almost had a heart attack because of you, thanks."
The man ridiculously chuckles at her in return, "Your welcome, glad I was able to do that."
"Now, now, why did you drag me here, in this forest? That's like, so random..", Sav questions, intensely gazing at the other with an interrogation look covering her whole face.
Leo just aimlessly shrugs in return as a reply to the latter, "You seemed like you were confused, so—"
However, he was abruptly cut off by the ginger lady in front of him, sarcastically rolling her eyes and her tone when she spoke also has a little tint of sarcasm in it, "I mean, obviously?? You literally forced me to join this server, duh."
He replies by just giving out a tiny laugh before he speaks once again, and now retorting back to the other, "Wait— What do you mean? I did force Parrot to send you an invitation, but you have a literal option whether to accept or not, yet you still accepted."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Your fault anyways." She returns back, even though obviously knows that she's running out of counters to use against the guy.
"Wow, just wow." The only reply she ever received, with a hint of sarcasm and playfulness, of course.
They continued chatting for a while in the Savanna forest, waiting for all of the members to log on to the server. The prolonged talk was most likely about Leo telling Sav the basics in the SMP and giving her several tips to use which are basically from his own experience from the first season of the server. He also provided her with some summarized information about all of the server members, which includes the newly-arrived ones too.
They eventually returned back to spawn, within the circle and cluster of server members randomly yelling and screeching (mainly Spoke). Sav mined out a few sand blocks and placed one near the clump of people. She sits-crouches onto the block, thoroughly staring at everyone else in the said place.
Leo was with the current server owner, Parrot with a few others. Spoke, the guy who mainly screams out of his lungs, is currently on a tower of stone blocks piled up in the center of the circle. Mapicc and Poafa were chatting together, Leo did say that they were siblings so no wonder why. Though, he did also say Mapicc used to be a server admin in the SMP from the last season but apparently, he and the original server owner abused commands. Woogie was just, well, intensely gazing at his reflection on the small river inside the server spawn. She slowly was able to identify the others, finally, thanks to Leo.
Nonetheless, Parrot properly gathered everyone else.
“And so, the Season 2 of Lifesteal SMP has finally begun.”
