There are times when Riddle forgets to take care of himself.
He doesn't mean for it to happen. Sticking to a regime he made for himself requires him to ensure he doesn't slack off in any areas. It means he’ll eat all his meals (hopefully) on time, and wash his hair once a week as long as it's not too oily. It means he’ll fold his laundry and put it away, it means he’ll get to bed at a reasonable hour every night--
But sometimes he forgets to take care of himself.
Trey knows this. He knows it too well. Sometimes, when people get busy, they forget simple things, little things. He is no exception, Riddle is no exception.
And so when he sees that his friend has forgotten to eat, he’ll bring him a balanced meal with a bright strawberry tart on the side. It means when he sees how Riddle’s ruby red hair irritates his day to day activities, he’ll offer him the hair tie he always keeps on him (just in case). It means he’ll help him put away his clothes, he’ll remind him when it’s time to sleep--
And if he needs it, only when he needs it, Trey will hold his lover close, combing his fingers through silky hair until the busyness of the day is forgotten and all that remains is their gentle breathing in the evening time.
