Not many people know what it’s like to go mad. Ozioys does, he found out what it was like hundreds of feet underneath the earth. It was just supposed to be a few days long mining trip. He had left notes for the others, he was so sure it would be fine, until it wasn’t.
Ozioys was never too sure what was meant to happen. He had entered the mines just hoping for some extra supplies for Collision Course. The cave in was never meant to happen. So why did it? Why was he sent to this prison? He knew he wasn’t the best kind of person, but he wasn’t evil. Not evil like the gods. He was only trying to help this land, so why was he being punished? It made no sense.
After being down there for hours, days, he found a good cave to set up shop in. One he could peaceful sleep awaiting rescue. He made the little home base, adding in some little items meant to keep him from losing himself, that was until… he sees the figure.
Ozioys had seen someone, he was so sure it was Shadow, Soren, hell he’d even be happy to see Skully in that moment, maybe even been happy to see Tim someone he only held distain for these days.
He called out “Hey, you! Over there! Stop! Hello?”
He chased the figure hoping to just get them to slow down. He rounded a corner, but no one was there. He’d been so sure he saw someone, something. He had been so sure, so how was this person just gone?
It had been at least a week since he’d left the cave. He has come to realize that his family and his best friend may be a bit unreliable at times. He hadn’t seen the person since either. He kinda wished the mystery person would come back, just so he’d have someone to talk to. It’s at that moment that he sees a pair of almost glowing eyes, peering at him from the darkness of the tunnels that made up the cave.
“Hey!” He yells at the person as their eyes widen and they dart down the tunnel.
He runs after them, and eventually he catches up, surprisingly. He’s pretty sure this mystery person wanted him to catch them. This person looked a lot like himself, he thinks now that he’s finally gotten a good look at them.
“Hello...” They say, they sound almost ethereal when they speak. You’d think they’re among the gods.
“Who are you?”
“I call myself Ranwick. You are?”
“Ozioys, but most people call me Zach.”
“Ozioys. Will you assist me?”
“I don’t know how much help ill be, if you couldn’t tell I’m kinda stuck myself.”
“I am not referring to being stuck in the caves, I’ve been here long enough they have become a second home to one like myself.”
“Oh. Then what do you mean?”
Ranwick offers Ozioys a trident, he is more than a little taken aback by the action. “What, what is this? Why are you giving it to me?”
“This is my vessel. I am what you people call a ghost. This is what my soul is attached to. I need you to keep it safe, and in the meantime ill keep you company.”
“Oh… okay! Uhm what exactly are you getting out of this though?”
“Let’s just say I am aware of your mission Ozioys. I want to see the people responsible brought to justice for what happened to me and my friends, as well as you and yours.”
“Oh. Oh! Okay I can do that. I mean that was already the plan, but yes, I’ll make them pay.”
