Work Text:
Nessa scurried out of the Flying Taxi ,sapphire purse in hand as the corviknight’s ruby eyes stared at her departing, snow flurrying above and below;why oh why did Sonia choose Circhester for their weekly cafe trip today?
Clutching her beret which was barely clinging on to her dark hair, she ran towards the cafe that Sonia had texted her about. The Taximan had parked a few streets away, leaving Nessa searching for the beloved brown coffee logo. She elegantly trotted in the flurry down to the town’s centre. The Hero’s baths.
There were a lot of people gathered around the baths, seeking warmth under the hail of Circhester, with their families, Pokémon, friends. She remembered- Sonia said it was near here, right? Shaking off the snow that had landed on her shoulders and head, Nessa checked her phone to confirm Sonia’s confusing directions. Yes indeed, it was near the baths.
Nessa raised her head away from her texts, about to put it back in her purse. And saw a pair of
gleaming, glistening peachy eyes staring right at her, face cloaked by the shadows of her phone. Strangely humanoid but not, shining but dull. Strangely beautiful..
The water type leader blinked, phone still in hand. The thing had gone, and Nessa could now clearly see the cafe, on a small raised hill of snow and cobblestone.
“What took you so long?” Sonia giggled at Nessa’s snow covered appearance. She(Sonia) had a fork that was stabbed in a pink cake with icing. “I almost thought you weren’t coming!” As she took a bite out of the pink slice of cake. Nessa groaned, while smiling. “Just a bit of Taxi traffic.. you know how it is in Circhester, and having to fly up here from Hulbury…”
Sonia grinned. “Come here, I’ll order cakes and hot chocolate on the house! Now I’ve gotta tell you about what Gran discovered last week…”
