Work Text:
Axel wasn’t religious. In fact, he did as much as he could to stray from religion as a whole. It’s not that he hated religious stuff, it just wasn’t for him. On the other hand, his friend, Roxie, was Christian. Not that you could tell from them. Roxie was the emo goth girl at their school, and Axel was the preppy sweet guy. So how in the world did Axel get into this situation?
Axel was in his room, the only light even giving the slightest of brightness was the fire from the spawn point in which he did the unthinkable.
“Which mere mortal summons upon me?" a loud, gruff voice called out.
Axel had his long ginger hair in a messy bun to keep the hair out of his face. He spent a long time summoning… this demon.
"You're Satan, correct?"
"The one and only."
"Ok, so I have this history paper due in-"
“Wait, huh?”
Axel showed the demon his computer, which had notes, but no actual work.
“It’s due in three hours. I have other work to do also.”
“You called for me, to sell your soul… for school?”
He placed the computer inside the demon’s hands, and then sat down.
“Yes. I can’t bare to do Mrs. Hector’s class again.”
The demon poked at the computer, looking at the notes, at the computer, then back at Axel. This had been the first time Axel really got a look at him. He didn’t look half bad- medium length blonde hair, grey-ish skin that seemed to have the same properties as human skin. He even had a suit on!
“Like what you see? You’ll be seeing it a lot more if you do this.”
“I like having friends.”
“You know, you’re the first person who wasn’t swooning all over when I arrived.”
Axel nodded, and then pointed back towards the computer.
“You know, I can do more than just write. I can make all of your grades perfect! I can kill your teachers! Give you the world!”
“Perfect grades? Forever?”
“Of course.”
“Hmm… seems better than just a paper. I’m giving you my soul for this, correct?”
“Yes.”
“Deal.”
Axel had gone back to school the next day, pure bliss focused upon his face.
“Hey! Roxie! You’ll never guess what I did!” The ginger male said, running up to a girl. She had long black hair tied into pigtails, a sleeveless black shirt with a jean coat on with jean shorts and a jacket around her waist.
“Axel? What happened?”
“So… you know how yesterday you said I couldn’t copy your work? And how the only way I’ll be able to pass this year was to summon a demon?”
“… yes?”
“Well…”
Roxie’s eyes went big. She looked at his clothes. Yep, some of his black tank top and white blazer was ashy. She pulled him aside, away from public, and looked deep into his eyes.
“Explanation. Now.”
