A Slimy Snack

Summary:

Spike decides the best way to get rid of a problem is to eat it.

Notes:

Looking back at Toys in the Attic, I don't know why, but I kinda wished Spike ate the blob creature instead of Ed, so I decided to write a little drabble where he did because, why not?

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Spike finally had the small blob cornered after he had trapped it in a room with him and scorched it with the flamethrower he had on hand. The weirdly familiar smell made him recall what this could've been before its mutation. A smell that caused his stomach to growl for food; those kebabs weren't satisfying enough, and it wanted more, growling as if whatever this scent was coming from could satisfy its hunger.

Spike picked up the unmoving blob, making a soft squish noise under his fingers, hoping it was dead, but its sudden spring to life said otherwise. Wiggling and morphing, the blob was getting ready to loosen itself from Spike's grip when, in one quick motion, he shoved the whole thing in his mouth.

Sloshing it around, the flavor wasn't ideal as it was that of year-old seafood, not to mention its slimy texture coating his tongue, but he had worse. He began pushing it towards his throat to swallow, his stomach's growls getting louder. The blob, on the other hand, had different plans as it thrashed around, trying to free itself from Spike's mouth.

Spike fought against the blob's struggles, tilting his head back and swallowing it with a thick glurrrrk! It squirmed as it slowly descended Spike's throat, forming a small bulge, but it also tried climbing back up the fleshy tube despite its slippery surface.

Observing this, Spike thickly swallowed once more, using his fingers to this time guide the blob down his throat, where the bulge it formed finally disappeared underneath his collarbone. He let out a satisfied sigh once he felt the animated mass enter his stomach, giving it a little pat. His stomach happily gurgled in response to the blob's arrival.

The blob wouldn't let up as Spike could feel it constantly thrashing against his stomach walls, still trying to escape, but his stomach didn't care; its walls were greedily squeezing and churning it, ready to turn it into digested slush. In no time, Spike let out a burp, a sign of satiated hunger, noticing the blob's struggles were starting to slow. He strolled out of the room he was in and made his way toward the attic where the fridge was located. On the way, A few gurgles erupted here and there from his stomach as it continued working away at the blob.

Notes:

I'm back! Not dead, just busy. I do have a few more stories in the queue that will be coming out soon. I hoped you enjoyed this one! :-)
