Jaemin and Jeno have been dating for almost 8 months, and Valentine's Day is around the corner. Jeno is freaking out, he does not know what he can give to Jaemin.
He knows the youngest loves aquatic animals; they have been at the aquarium too many times already, they have watched most of the aquatic life movies and Jeno even gifted Jaemin a book about aquatic life. (Which made Jaemin cry tears of joy since no one has ever cared enough about his love for this kind of stuff.)
Jeno’s brain is empty and dry. He has never been into a relationship and all of his ideas have been already used for other occasions. He knows he can take Jaemin to a romantic dinner and give him some flowers and chocolates, but that’s not enough. Jaemin deserves the world.
He suddenly remembered that Jaemin was a photography major; he may need something of that. But now the question is what could the youngest need.
The best he could do was ask Jaemin, without exactly asking what he needed. Jeno transformed into Nono and went to Jaemin's place.
Both were so used to Jeno entering Jaemin's house as Nono and through the window, that when Jaemin saw the little black cat trying to open the window (without any success) the cute boy hurried and opened it for the cat to get inside.
"Nono! Hi! I didn't know you were coming!" Jaemin says and holds Nono in his arms and places some soft pecks on Nono's face. The cat just let him kiss him. "Nono, I want to kiss you."
Jaemin pouted and Nono looked at him like trying to say "you already are".
"I know what you are thinking... But it's not the same! I want to kiss your lips, Nono! Please transform" and he pouted again.
Nono would be laughing at how cute Jaemin is if he could laugh as a cat. He jumps out of Jaemin's arms and suddenly transforms into a human again.
"Hi baby," Jeno approached his boyfriend and kissed him on the lips. "Is this better?"
"Yes, so much better" and another kiss. "You didn't tell me you were coming, I could've made something to eat."
“I’m sorry baby, I just missed you. Did I interrupt something?”
“Not at all! I was actually about to text you to come over because I missed you too, but you are already here and that makes me happy” Jaemin smiles at Jeno and they share more kisses.
After a few minutes, Jaemin mentioned that he had to finish editing some pictures from his new project. Jeno thought that was the perfect moment to ask.
“I think I never asked but… Do you need a lot of things to complete a project?”
Jaemin turned and looked at Jeno, with shining eyes, he loved when Jeno asked about anything he got interested in. “Well, not at all. Do you want me to show you a little bit how this works?”
And that’s how Jaemin taught Jeno step by step how to do a photography project, from the basics of using a camera to editing a picture. Jeno was genuinely amazed at how Jaemin could make a simple picture look so amazing.
Jaemin explained to Jeno that he has everything to make a whole photoshoot. But he wished he could change his camera to a much better one. Jeno asked which one and he regretted it. The camera was so expensive! Jeno didn’t even know cameras could cost that much.
So photography equipment was obviously discarded from his possible gifts.
The next day, Jeno was so worried about the gift. He even asked Mark for help.
“What if you give him some flowers and choco…” Mark was interrupted by a “no” from Jeno.
“Okay, then… Take him into a romantic di...”
“No”
“Bro, I think you are the complicated one… What do you want to give him?”
“I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking.” Jeno rolls his eyes and continues, “something special.”
“What about something for his photography equipment?”
“I wanted to but he has everything he needs, plus, a camera is so fucking expensive.”
“Then… Something from the aquatic world?”
“I have given him a lot of those things… He may get tired.”
“Yeah… This is not going to work, ask someone else, buddy” Mark pats Jeno’s shoulder.
“Mark, please. Help me!” Jeno almost pouts.
“Fine… Then…” Mark thinks really hard until he remembers something, “do you remember that kid… Renjun?” Mark asks.
“Oh, yeah! The one from art major?”
“The one and only. He makes commissions sometimes, so you can ask him if he has time to do a drawing or something for Jaemin”
“That’s an excellent idea! Thanks, Mark!”
“Your… Welcome…” Mark says but Jeno didn’t listen to him since he just grabbed his stuff and ran away to look for Renjun.
“I don’t have time.” That’s what Renjun said after Jeno asked him if he could help him. “Valentine’s day is so close and I have other commissions to do.”
“Not even a little tiny drawing? I could pay you the same as a normal size drawing! I really need it! I want to give Jaemin something really special” Jeno practically begged.
Renjun at hearing the name Jaemin something turned on in his head. “Oh, you are Jaemin's boyfriend…”
“Yes. I am, and I’m not kidding, I’ll pay you the same!”
“No need, I think I can give you an exception. I will do the commission for you.”
“C’mon, please… Wait, did you say that you will?”
“Yes, I will. And to be honest, I didn’t recognize you, if I had known that you were Jeno I would have said yes right away.” Jeno didn’t even know how to react to that, but he guessed that is a good thing.
They spend a few minutes talking about what the drawing could be until Jeno shows him the picture Jaemin took of Nono at the park trying to catch the butterfly. The first picture Jaemin took of Nono.
Renjun when saw the picture giggles, “I think this one is perfect.”
“Really?” Jeno asks.
“Yes, send it to me please, I’ll have it ready the day before Valentine’s day. In the meantime you can write a letter for him and buy him some flowers, I bet he will like that!”
It’s already Valentine’s day. Jeno is so excited about his date with Jaemin. He got Jaemin a bouquet of flowers, a letter, and the drawing that Renjun did, which was the cutest thing Jeno has ever seen.
Jaemin said that this time he wanted to be the one surprising Jeno, and asked him to go to his house (and ring the bell as a normal person, not sneaking in as Nono through the window.)
Jeno arrived and rang the bell, a few seconds later, his boyfriend opened the door, looking angelic at Jeno’s eyes.
“Hi, baby, happy Valentine’s Day!” Jeno said while giving Jaemin the bouquet. Jaemin grabs it and then approaches Jeno to kiss him.
“Happy Valentine’s day, Nono” Jaemin whispers on Jeno’s lips and kisses him again. “Come in, my surprise is inside!”
They walked to Jaemin’s garden, and Jeno was surprised that it was decorated with some lights and rose petals, reminding him of when he asked Jaemin to be his boyfriend.
“I will never forget when you asked me out, and I wanted to surprise you with something similar! Do you like it?”
“I love it, baby! Thank you so much!” And he placed a peck on Jaemin’s lips.
“I have another surprise…” Jaemin says and goes to look for the gift, he returns with a kinda big envelope, pretty similar to the one Jeno had on his hand to give it to Jaemin.
“I also have a gift for you, baby.” And both exchange the envelopes.
They open the envelopes at the same time. And suddenly both started to laugh when they saw the gifts.
Jaemin asked Renjun to draw the exact same Nono picture. And in both, he wrote, “where our story began.”
When Jeno saw what was written on the drawing, he wondered if he told Renjun about it. And now he knows Jaemin asked Renjun to write it. Renjun planned it out and made their first Valentine’s day gift really special. Now both of them have matching drawings that will remind them of the first day they met.
Both of them send a “Thank you” text to Renjun and let him know that they really liked the surprise.
After thanking Renjun, both remembered that they wrote a letter to each other. They read them and neither of them could be more thankful to have the other in their lives.
They spent the rest of the day together enjoying each other's company with some kisses while whispering some I love you’s to each other.
“I love you so much, baby. You make me so happy, please stay with me forever.”
“I love you too, nono. I want to spend the rest of my days with you, you definitely make them brighter.”
Jeno’s letter to Jaemin:
Hi baby, Happy Valentine’s day! <3
I have to say that the last few months with you have been the best thing that has ever happened to me. Having you in my life has made me the luckiest man in the whole world. Thank you for choosing me and accepting me as I am. Thank you for not judging me.
Who could’ve guessed that me transforming into a cat would be the reason behind us being together… (And yes, I’m kidding. I know we used to like each other waaaay before you knew about me being Nono lol but that was also the reason why we started talking.)
Anyways, I love you so so so much baby. And talking about calling you baby… That’s pretty generic, so I was thinking… Since you call me Nono… Can I call you Nana? That would be really cute! (Just like you!!) Let me know if you like it :) <3

You know, you are also the cutest cat ever!! I’ve never been such a fan of cats, but for you baby, they can become my favorite animal (Okay that sounded weird, but you are totally my favorite and the person/cat I love the most <33)
