Suletta tries to not fidget too much, but she can't help but count the minutes as class drags on. The handmade chocolates in her bag were waiting to be shared, and Suletta tried to do anything to make time go faster. Eyes wander and Suletta ends up looking at Miorine, focused on their instructor's words.
Were Miorine’s lips always so soft? Staring down at her tablet, Suletta observes platinum eyes darting around with intense focus. White bangs were swept to the side immaculately, as always, and even seated in class, she had an air of sophistication around her.
Suletta still remembers their first interaction, and thinks of how quickly she was enamoured when that visor slid up. And ever since the corporate party, Suletta couldn’t stop thinking of Miorine’s cool rescue. Of how beautiful she looked with her hair pinned up and her dress hugging her.
“I’ll protect you.”
Suletta feels like the protagonist of one of her shoujo manga. Thinking back to the moment always brings a blush to her face, and the rush of emotion makes her feel like swooning.
“Suletta?”
Ah. Miorine was staring at her.
Eyebrows perked in curiosity, Miorine’s attention was quickly leaving her notebook and turning towards Suletta. Suletta panics as Miorine turns her attention towards her fully and blurts out the first thing in her mind.
"Can I see you after class today? At your greenhouse?"
Stupid. They meet there almost everyday regardless, and any attempt at a surprise was surely blown by now.
The instructor clears his throat loudly, and the two jump. Embarrassment rushes over them as the class laughs and the two wait until the lull of the lecture continues.
"I'll see you there," Miorine says simply, and Suletta spends the rest of the class giddy in her seat.
"What did you want to show me?" Miorine asks, leaning against her desk and giving Suletta her full attention.
Suletta swallows the lump in her throat, and brings out the small cloth from behind her back.
Miorine's eyes widen as Suletta hands her her gift, "Happy Valentine's Day, Miorine-san."
Unraveling the ribbon, Miorine takes a chocolate and plops it into her mouth. Chewing for a few moments, Suletta's heart soars as Miorine hums in approval.
"It's sweet, just like you." Miorine presses one of the chocolates against Suletta’s mouth and she blushes as she feels her fingers lightly brush against her lips. Opening her mouth, Miorine pushes the piece in and Suletta chews obediently. Thankfully, Suletta’s efforts were fruitful and she relishes the sweet cocoa and milk melting on her tongue.
Heart full of affection, Suletta bends down and presses her lip against Miorine's head, pressing a kiss onto her crown.
Rising back up, Suletta yelps as Miorine grabs her by her tie and pulls her back in. "If you're going to kiss me, do it right."
Miorine pulls her into a deep kiss, and Suletta jumps at the chance. Wrapping her arms around Miorine, Suletta pulls her in and the two deepen the kiss.
The evening is spent enjoying each other's company, and when Miorine surprises Suletta with a bouquet almost the same size as her, Suletta follows Miorine's lead and gives her a kiss that she'd be proud of.
