WEDNESDAY JULY 4TH 2012
11:AM MCGARRETT HOUSE
Steve had just come into get the burgers for the grill when someone knocked on the door. "Who could that be?" Steve asked going to the door. When he opened it he was surprised.
"Hey Sailor." Catherine Rollins said.
"Catherine." Steve said casually.
"Can I come in?" Catherine asked.
Danny came to the door at that time. "Hey Babe, who's this?" Danny asked.
"Lt Catherine Rollins my partner Det Danny Williams." Steve said.
"Nice to meet you Ma'am." Danny said.
"Steve can I talk to you alone?" Catherine asked.
"I am going to check on the girls." Danny said leaning up and kissing Steve on the lips.
"Thanks Ipo." Steve said watching as Danny ran up the stairs.
"What do you need Catherine?" Steve asked motioning for her to sit on the couch.
"I have an asset in Japan that I need help extracting." Catherine said.
"This asset, do they want extracted?" Steve asked. Catherine didn't answer. "Right, listen I can't help you. Talk to Joe or Wade. They likely will help you." Steve said.
"Steve I work better with you." Catherine said.
"And I don't do extractions anymore. Catherine I have a family. I am not going to go and do a dangerous mission." Steve said seeing Jenn at the kitchen door.
"How serious are you and Danny?" Catherine asked.
"We're through. Nice seeing you Catherine." Steve said opening the door.
"Steve think about it." Catherine said.
"I did. Goodbye Catherine." Steve said.
When she was out the door Steve closed it and saw Danny and Jenn come into the room. "I take it she still doesn't know that you know about your mother." Danny said.
"Didn't seem so. She wants help doing an extraction." Steve said.
"Your mom maybe?" Jenn asked.
"More than likely." Steve said sighing.
"Come on let's go party." Danny said.
"Ok." Steve said.

BACKYARD
Jen and Kyle along with Glen were sitting on a blanket on the grass with Izzy and Sophia watching them play. Grace came running up. "Jen. Are we going to go to the river side and watch the fireworks?" Grace asked.
"Do you want to go?" Jen asked.
"Please please please." Grace begged.
"Well first you have to say Please. Alright go make sure it's ok with Mommy and Danno." Jenn said.
"Where are you going?" Glen asked.
"It's a river edge that the locals go to and watch a local fire department set off fire works." Jenn said.
"Oh oh Can I come?" Glenn asked.
"Of course Glenn you can come." Jenn said laughing.
"I guess I should come too." Kyle said.
"Only if you want to." Jenn said.
"Yes you should come. Me and Princess Grace can go and watch the fireworks. And well you two can create fireworks." Glenn said winking.
Just then Grace was dragging Danny and Steve with her. "Monkey we can walk." Danny said.
"But you need to come and sit with us." Grace said.
"Yeah Danno you need to come sit with us." Jen said.
Izzy decided to pipe up. "NO NO." She said excited.
"I think someone spotter her Danno." Steve said smirking.
"Hi Sweetheart. Come here to Danno." Danny said sitting beside Jenn.
"I hear you're taking the three two kids to see fireworks." Steve said.
"HEY!!" Glen yelled. Everyone laughed.
"Of course. We didn't go last year cause of these two. But I thought Poppa and Danno could keep an ear out for them." Jenn said.
"Of course. It'd be our pleasure." Danny said bopping Sophia on the nose.
"Danny when are your parents coming back?" Glen asked.
"Not til probably Christmas." Danny sad.
"You like Ed and Clara Glen?" Jenn asked smiling.
"They're nice. Better than my parents." Glen said looking down.
"Hey Kid you have a place here with us. Heck I bet Rachel would give you the guest room." Danny said.
"Who am I giving my guest room to Daniel?" Rachel asked coming to sit beside Grace.
"Glen." Steve said.
"Yer ole man giving you issues again?" Mike asked, taking Sophia from Kyle.
"Yeah. I'm never good enough." Glen said.
"You're good enough for the lot of us. Don't let him get you down. Heck Sophia and Izzy love you so does Grace." Jenn said wrapping her arm around Glen's shoulders.
"Yeah man. We never mind you hanging with us." Kyle said hitting his fist on Glen's knee.
"Thanks guys." Glenn said.
"Glenn my guest room is yours for the taking. As long as Grace is ok with it." Rachel said.
"Of course. He can help me with my homework. And we can come help Jenn with the babies." Grace said excitedly.
"Whoa there Monkey Glen would have homework too and he is also helping Mike at the shop." Danny said.
While no one was looking Izzy stood on her feet and took a couple steps. "Hey guys." Kyle said slapping at Jen. Jen turned and saw Izzy take a few steps and grabbed her phone. "That's my girl." Jen said scooping her up and kissing.
"Sophia is looking like she might as well." Mike said.
"Baby gates need to go up Steven." Danny said.
"They already are. Izzy tried to crawl down the stairs a few weeks ago." Jenn said.
"Jen when do we need to go to the river?" Grace asked.
"Not for a while girlie. We're going to eat and have fun." Jen said tickling Grace.
5:PM
MCGARRETT HOUSE
Steve and Danny were sitting on the lanai watching the water. "I've been thinking." Steve said.
"That's never good." Danny said.
"Shut up." Steve said laughing.
"What about?" Danny asked.
"I know I will have a few more missions. Joe and Wade and few other CO's have told me. Things are in the works. I want to finalize a few things. One being if I am away we need someone with a good head to help make decisions should something happen and you need medical attention." Steve said.
"And same goes for if we're both incapacitated." Danny said.
"Right. I know she's young, but I think when I needed her Jen stepped up even at six months pregnant." Steve said.
"Yeah she kept me calm during the Sarin scare." Danny said.
"She's the best bet. She's know what we'd both need. And Rachel and Mike are here to help." Steve said.
"Yeah. You're right. I just hate putting all that on her." Danny said.
"Let's talk to her this weekend and see what she says." Steve said.
"Ok. Before you start planning missions. Mind if we plan the wedding. Nothing big." Danny said.
"Danno, I want the whole world to know I love you." Steve said.
"Alright. I want Jen and maybe Kyle to sing at the wedding." Danny said.
"That's a given. She done told me she was. She has the song pick out." Steve said.
"Of course she does. She's your daughter." Danny said laughing.
"No Danno she's ours. Just like Grace is ours and those Babies asleep in the living room is our grandddaughters." Steve said.
"I love you Rambo." Danny said leaning in for a kiss.
8:30PM
RIVER SIDE
Jen parked the car in a parking spot and got out and walked down to the edge of the river. Glen, Kyle and Grace followed and Grace climbed into Jen's lap. "I never knew you could come here." Glen said.
"Me and Dad and sometimes Grandpa would come all the time." Jen said smiling.
"Who shoots off the fireworks?" Kyle asked.
"Local fire department." Jen said.
Kyle slung his arm around her. "Today was fun. Got to see Izzy take her first steps." Kyle said.
"We did." Glen said grinning.
"Glen has a place to stay if he needs it." Jen said smirking at him.
"And Grace has a homework helper but only if I get half the snacks." Glen said.
"Ok." Grace said.
"You want to go over to the rock over there and watch the surfers?" Glen asked.
"Can I Jen?" Grace asked. Kyle and Glen smirked at Grace going to Jen for the approval.
"Sure, be careful. Here take some photos." Jen said handing her a disposable camera.
"Yay." Grace said.
"What about me?" Glen asked.
"You have a phone." Kyle said laughing.
"You guys suck." Glen said sweeping Grace off to the rocks.
"Grace keep Glen safe." Jenn said calling to them.
Kyle leaned on Jenn laughing. "They're funny to watch." Kyle said.
"But they're good friends. Hannah would be surprised to see Glen carrying a nine year old around and laughing." Jenn said.
"Speaking of. Any idea what you want to major in?" Kyle asked.
"Nursing. They'res a good nursing program at UOFH in Hilo." Jenn said.
"That's awesome." Kyle said.
"I want to give back. And I think 2 grandpas in law enforcement is enough." Jenn said.
"Can I give you something?" Kyle asked.
"Sure." Jenn said.
Glenn who was sitting with Grace smirked. "Princess Grace look at Jen and Kyle." Glen said.
Grace looked and saw Kyle give Jenn a ring. "Is he asking her to Marry him?" Grace asked.
"No. It's a promise ring. See Jenn and Kyle were best friends before they started dating. It's his way of saying he'll promise to be her friend should they break up." Glen said.
"That's soo cool." Grace said as the first fireworks went off.
Grace and Glen went back to Jen and Kyle. "Can I sit in your lap?" Grace asked Kyle.
"Of course Princess Grace." Kyle said moving into position.
SATURDAY JULY 7TH 2012
MCGARRETT HOUSE
1:PM
Jenn was washing the dishes from lunch when Danny and Steve came into the kitchen. "Tire the girls out?" Jenn asked rinsing the last cup.
"Yeah. Izzy sure likes to fight taking a nap." Danny said.
"She does." Jenn said laughing.
"Why are you laughing?" Steve asked.
"She reminds me of someone else I know." Jenn said.
"Me too." Danny said.
"I do not fight sleep." Steve said.
"Sure you don't Rambo." Danny said smirking.
"Hey on a serious note. Can we talk with you?" Steve asked.
"Sure, everything ok?" Jen asked.
"Everythings fine. We just got to talking and realized we need to do something." Danny said.
"Ok. What do you need to do?" Jen asked.
"Listen Ipo, when I talked with Joe and Wade, they told me that stuff is heating up and they might be recalling me more." Steve said.
"I figured they would." Jen said.
"And when that happens we both need someone to make decisions. Should something happen to Danno here while i'm away." Steve said.
"Yeah. And we both decided since I am here with you maybe you wouldn't mind being our secondary medical proxy." Danny said.
"Are you guys sure?" Jen asked.
"Positive. I know myself personally trust you to make the hard decisions." Steve said.
"Same here. I would make Rachel but with her dating Mike I feel it best not to." Danny said.
"Then I will do it. My medical proxy is dad and I'll put Danny as secondary for both me and Girls." Jenn said.
"Sounds good. I'll talk to my lawyer and get it all set up." Steve said.
"I love you Girlie." Danny said hugging Jen.
"Love you too detective." Jen said smirking. Jen didn't know come the next month that medical proxy of Danny's was gonna be needed.
