I'm not dead?

How am I not dead?

I remember falling-

I remember screaming and crying-

I remember the foggy images awash in the light and reaching for them, fighting off HIS hold on me-

I can't SEE anything at first but I'm alive and the first thing I do is blurt out in a groggy, drunken manner, "Peeeeen? Peeen!!! Never forget I love you!! PEEEEEN!!!"

Then, awkwardly, I tried to move. Tried to seek out the serpentine Sinner and confess my feelings before it was too late, before HE grabbed me and drug me under the surface.

"Sssssshh, Dear, shhh~" A soothing hiss came out of this unnatural darkness and I cried out, bleating like a damned sheep before the slaughter, "Never forget I love you!!! Damnit I love you!!! Never forget that!!!"

"Never forget too, my little Sniper, that I love you too~" He whispers and I FEEL his hands touch my body.

I FELT HIM!

I wasn't dead!

I HEARD HIM!

I wasn't sure how I wasn't dead!

But hearing him begin to hum a little song as he rubs my back slowly, I take the first deep breath of life then another, then continue, even as I slip back under the blanket of sleep and exhaustion.
