Selen we siting on the couch mindlessly scrolling through her phone when finana runs in and jumps on the couch next to her, It's so sudden selen yells in surprise.
"FINANA, WHAT THE HELL?" Selen says in a paniced voice.
Finana immediately starts doing puppy eyes and selen rolls hers, Knowing that nothing good ever fallows finanas puppy eyes trick.
"Soooooooo, there's a movie I wanna go see" Finana says in as she puts on a sweet voice trying her best to sound cute in order to make selen agree to what's shes about to ask.
"You run in here like a five year old hyped up on suger to tell me that?" Selen asks.
"Well you see, It's not just any movie..." Finana continues, still in the overly cutesy voice.
Selen rises an eye brow and lets out a short laugh "What? Is it like a soft core hentai?" She jokes, finana responds by puffing out her cheeks in a way that makes selen laugh more.
"Noooo, It's a horror movie" Finana tells her, Selen's heart drops at the mere mention of horror, now she understands way finana was using the voice she was.
In Selen's own words she is a little bitch when it comes to horror, It was one of the few things the dragon can't handle, Although she tried her best to not let her Dread show on her face as finana continued.
"I really wanna see it" Finana pauses for a bit "But I know how you are with horror" She adds. Selen scoffed and replied "Pffft, Oh come on I can handle horror" Selen said with a dismissive hand wave, But even she didn't buy it and neither did finana.
"Selen, do you not remember your phasmo stream?" Finana asked while crossing her arms "Oh come on... I wasn't that bad..." Selen added before looking at finana who had a knowing look on her face "Was I?" Finana shakes her head.
"Look, you don't need to take me if you Dont want to" Finana said as she dropped the cutesy voice and switched to a softer more comforting one.
"I could just ask Elira or reimu to take me" She continues while putting her hand on Selen's shoulder "Or even wait until it comes out on DVD." She added.
Selen pushed finanas hand off her and stood up "don't worry about it feesh, I can take some crappy horror movie!" She said in a voice that sounded like she was trying to make herself believe it. "Are you sure? You really don't have t-" Finana tried asking again only for selen to pick her up by wrapping her arms around the mermaids waist.
"Come on, what's wrong? Think your big strong dragon can't handle some spooky pictures? Selen said in a cocky voice, Finana laughed and kissed her nose.
"Well, if your up for it okay!"

TIME SKIP
"Why the hell did I agree to this..." Selen thought to herself as the two walked in to the theater, She was immediately regreting her decision, Hell, she regretted it on the car ride there.
As finana was paying for the tickets selen continued to have a small panic attack.
"I know I'm bad with horror, yet I agree to come and for what? Just keep some stupid pride? Damn I'm stupid" Selen told herself, she was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't hear finana start to walk back to her.
"len... SELEN!" Finana yell just enough to snap selen out of her thoughts but quiet enough that nobody else heard. "Hmm? Oh hey feesh" Selen said trying to hide her panic, Although finana could tell something was bothering her.
"Selen, are you sure you wanna do this?" She asked as held her draconic-hand.
Selen mustered up the biggest smile she could "Of course! You already paid for the tickets, so let's go!" Selen replied.
Finana agreed with a soft smile, She was still worried about her girlfriend but decided not to press it any further, For now at least.
The two walked to their seats in one of the middle rows and selen took a deep breath. "You can do this selen, Its just one movie... Can't be that bad..." Selen told her self.
As they sat down Finana looked at her, worried, Only for selen to again flash a big smile as their eyes met, Finana smiled softly still worried about the dragon.
The movie started and selen felt a cold shiver go through her body, Only for her to be filled with Dread when she realizes that what's they've seen so far were just the previews for other movies.
Once that actually movie starts, Selen trys her damnedest to focus on anything besides the screen, Leading to her stating at the popcorn bucket in her lap, the wall and finana over and over again.
Though when ever finana tried to look back, Selen would glue her eyes to the screen and tense up her body in and attempt to look unbothered, It failed.
"LOOK AWAY, LOOK AWAY, LOOK AWAY, PLEASE OF THE LOVE OF GOD" Selen thought to herself and just as she did selen let her guard down, then as if on purpose, that moment was when something ran at the screen and scared the hell out of her.
Selen tried to hide her terror by gripping the arm rests, but her grip was so tight her claws left scratch marks on the bottom of them, and selen was sure that if another jump scare happened too soon after, she would break the damn thing.
Again, as if the universe it self enjoyed her suffering, another, much louder jump scare happened. Finana took notice of how selen was literally shaking in her chair.
Now very concerned about her girlfriend finana leaned over and whispered in her ear.
"Selen, if you wanna go we can" The dragon was about to try and deny it but then sudden loud noise caught her off guard, This time it wasn't even a jumpscare.
It just another audience member getting up from their chair. But it was enough to make selen cover her face with her hands and her Mind was racing.
"Fuck, fuck, FUCK I HATE THIS!! She even started hyperventilating and couldn't think straight, she felt something touch her shoulder and recoiled only opening her eyes when she heard finana speak in the softest voice she possibly could "Selen?"
The dragon looked at the mermaid and saw a concerned face looking back at her.
"I Think we need to leave" Finana said and selen simply nodded.
Finana took Selen's hand and led her out if the theater while selen just hung her head low while still shaking and trying to compile her thoughts, There were some people who stared and laughed at the big scary dragon fallowing a small mermaid like a lost child, although finana gave all of them annoyed look that said 'The fuck are you looking at?'
Once they were outside and standing next to the car finana turned around and gently held Selen's hands "Hey... Are you okay?" She asked in a calm and comforting voice.
"Y-yeah, actually I think I C-C-Could go back in" Selen replied, only for finana to look her dead in the eyes with a serious expression she had never seen on the feeshes face before "No, You were hyperventilating, Jumped back from ME touching you and your still studdering over your words."
"But I know how expansive the tickets were and I don't want your money to go to waste" Selen said in a guilty tone. Finana's face returned to one of concern "Selen, I don't care about the money, I care about you" She says while running her hand up Selen's arm.
"But Wh-" Selen tried to continue but got cut off by finana "Selen listen to me, You are my top priority." Finana said in a semi-comanding voice "Nothing will ever be more important then you, Not tickets, Not some stupid movie, Nothing do you hear me?"
Selen nodded "Good" Finana told her before kissing her cheek "Now, why did you agree to come to the movie in the first place? You know your bad with horror stuff"
Selen looked down, too ashamed to make eye contact with the mermaid.
"Well You've said that one of your favorite things about me is how I don't let things get to me, So I thought... I don't know..." She paused as she tried to find the right words. "I thought you would like me less..." She said while still avoiding eye contact.
"Selen... How could you ever think that?" Finana asked before putting her hand on Selen's cheek, "I love you, and will always love you, I know you like to have this image of being tough and unfazed by a lot of things but everyone has their weakness's" She added while running her thumb up and down gently.
"Look at me" Finana ordered while keeping her soft tone of voice.
Selen stared back at her girlfriends eyes and saw a soft smile on her face "No matter what... I love you, remember that" Finana told her before pecking the dragons lips.
Selen smiled for the first time in awhile and softly chuckled "I will, thanks finana"
"Good, and your welcome" Finana replied soon Selen's tail wrapped around her waist as the two began to kiss, it lasted a few seconds before selen pulled away.
"Oh and I love you too" Selen said, earning a laugh from the mermaid "I know, Now let's go home and cuddle"

TIME SKIP
Selen was sat on the couch, except now finana was in her lap with the dragons tail wrapped around her waist and a blanket over both of them.
All the lights were off and the TV was playing a rerun of their favorite show to watch together, Finana snuggled back into Selen's chest "See, isn't this better then be scared just to keep up an image?" Finana said before she felt Selen's arms wrapping around her.
"Yeah, it is" Selen agreed "But, cuddling with you is better then anything" Selen told the feesh, "God, you can be really cheesy sometimes" Finana replied. "Yeah but you love it when I say cheesy shit" Selen laughed.
Finana let out a sigh "Yeah, I do"
