Chapter Text
[The City of Townsville!]
Citizens are seen playing, laughing, and enjoying each other's company
[And what a lovely day it is to be in the city. All the lovely citizens are out and about enjoying the wonderful calm peaceful day.]
Mojo is seen inside of his home watching King Kong on the couch eating popcorn.
[Yes, even the villains are seen taking advantage of the calm atmosphere.]
An overview of the City is shown.
[No crime, no evil doing, no mayhem, no monsters, just a quiet relaxing, calm, nice...]
A train is seen speeding on the rails
[Uh oh! It looks like a train is speeding towards disaster!]
The engineer appears to be shovelling barrels of coal. Then he walks over to tap buttons on his dash and pulls a lever forward with a determined look on his face. While staring at the front he peeks out the corner of his eyes and sees a pink streak meet him at the window. He gives the teenage red head girl a glare. She in turn glares back.
[Hey it's Blossom!]
Blossom flies upward a bit over the train. The engineer begins to add more coal, but looks up to see a blue streak by his window this time. His glare deepens as the teenage blonde girl narrows her eyes and gives a smirk.
[And Bubbles!]
He walks over to his dash and pulls the lever up some more while watching his speed. The needle is tucked away in the middle of the green section. He goes to pull the string and the train let's out a whistle. Eyes focused on the front once again he sees a green streak out his window instead of blue. He gives the green teenage brunette girl a growl who in turn sneers back and speeds up.
[And Buttercup!]
The engineer throws more coal into the fire and moves the lever up once more. The girls are seen slightly ahead of him flying by the side of the train. They see the train coming up and push forward with more speed. The engineer sees this and adds even more coal.
The girls see the train catching them again. They see a tunnel coming forth and fly right through it. The train is right behind them on their tails. Pulling the lever up to its highest level the train finally passes the girls coming out of the tunnel.
The engineer gives a smirk as he drives forward, but it's wiped clean when the girls fly past him and give a smirk of their own.
His eyes widened as he looks up to see an empty train stop coming up.
Giving a sigh, and a small chuckle and he pulls on his break. Pulling the lever back he slowly came to a complete stop.
Rolling down his right window he stuck his head out and gave the three girls a smile. The girls girls floated above him with smiles of their own.
[It's the Powerpuff Girls!]
"Thanks for helping me test out your father's train updates! The speed modification works great!"
"But we still have it beat!" Buttercup replied with a smug smirk.
"You got me there " the engineer chuckled.
"So do you want to test it out again?" Asked Blossom
"Sorry girls, but I've got deliveries I have to make before the end of the day and despite these speed updates they are gonna take a while."
Buttercup crossed her arms and glares to the side, Bubbles looked at the ground in disappointment, and Blossom takes a breath before giving the engineer a sad smile.
"We understand. Be safe."
"You've got it! Bye girls!"
The engineer starts up the train and went on with his task. The girls watched him fade in the distant for a while before slowly floating down on the empty bench left at the train station, letting out a sigh in unison.
"Now what?! There's nothing to do!" Buttercup gripped her hair in frustration.
"Yeah, it seems like everyone has something to do, but us!" Bubbles complained with a pout.
"There has to be something we can do, we just haven't figured it out yet." Blossom began to rub her temples.
"Well how long does it take to figure it out?! It's already 11 a.m.! And I refuse to sit here board on Saturday!"
"You can refuse all you want Buttercup, but unless we can think of something it looks like we'll be going back home early." Blossom said.
Growling Buttercup jumped up and began to pace in front of her sister's.
"There has to be something!"
"Maybe we should try giving out random words and see if something of interest comes to mind?"
"Yeah like that will work Bubbles." Buttercup said with an eye roll.
"I didn't hear YOU coming up with any ideas." Bubbles spat back.
"Maybe because I'm still trying to think of something that might ACTUALLY work!" Buttercup slowly advanced towards her blonde sister.
"Well you might want to tell your brain to speed it up or did you already forget that's 11a.m. on Saturday." Bubbles replied with a vicious smirk.
"Why you...!"
"Quiet!"
Both sisters looked towards Blossom who was giving them a glare, arms folded.
"Fighting isn't going to get us anywhere. So let's try and calm down."
Both sisters gave an apologetic glance towards her before she continued.
"I for one like Bubbles idea..."
Buttercup rolled her eyes at the tongue Bubbles stuck at her.
"...and think it's are best shot. Unless you have another idea Buttercup."
Buttercup turned her head with a huff with a slight blush on her face.
"Fine. I guess we'll see if this works."
"Thanks for the opportunity my sweet sister!"
Bubbles flew over and gave Buttercup a tight squeeze before being playful shoved off.
"Yeah, yeah and your the sweet sister, I'm the spicy one!"
Bubbles giggled as Buttercup began to flex and Blossom rolled her eyes playfully.
"So I guess we'll start with people and see if that could spark an idea." Said Blossom.
"Sounds good, so Professor...?"
"Science fair. Robin..?"
"Weekend trip. Ms. Keane..?"
"Teacher Award Ceremony. Mitch...?
"Family day. The Mayor...?"
"All day meetings and Miss Belium is sure to be with him."
The girls met each others eyes and began to get a bit nervous. Blossom cleared her throat.
"Okay maybe we'll try villains instead?"
"Yeah someone's got to be up to some mischief!" Buttercup gave a nervous laugh.
"Worth a try." Bubbles added with a shaky smile.
"Right, so let's start. Mojo...?"
"Binge watching. Fuzzy...?
"Family reunion. Princess...?"
"With her dad on business trip. Him....?"
"Underworld meeting. Gang Green Gang...?"
"Junkyard Clean up. Sedusa...?"
"Ugh! This is getting us nowhere! We know what most of these losers are doing because we check the city every morning and have alerts on our phones! There aren't doing any evil!"
Blossom and Bubbles winced at Buttercup's tone. She was right. They might not always know if villains were planning something, but after fighting them for so long, the sister's could tell if they were being diabolical or not.
"Alright last try. We'll give out activities and see if we can go from there."
Blossom looked to her sister's and they had a look of determination.
"Skating?"
A simultaneous no.
"Bowling?"
Same result.
"Racing?"
It kept going.
"Dancing?" "Zoo?" "Library?" "Working out?" "Training?" "Mini Golf?" "Swimming?" "Biking?" "Hiking?"
"UGH!" the girls let out a frustrated yell. Opening thier eyes they each gave a look of defeat.
"Guess it's back home to read my study guide again." Blossom got up and began to float forward.
"Yeah, I'm sure I can find inspiration for a new sketch at home."
Bubbles followed behind Blossom very slowly, head down cast.
"YouTube here I come." Buttercup crossed her arms and floated beside her sisters.
The girls then began to slowly fly thier selves back home.
[Aw, our poor girls. They shouldn't have to float home in sadness on such a day as this! If only there was something for them to do.]
The girls were floating low enough on the ground that they basically could walk, but choose not to. Buttercup sees a crushed can and gives it a hard kick. The can flies over thier heads behind them.
After a minute thought the can comes back and hits Buttercup in the back of the head.
"Ow!"
Blossom and Bubbles turned back to thier sister and went by her side.
"Are you okay?"Bubbles began to check for any other injuries.
"Yeah. Just wasn't expecting..."
"And here I thought heroes were above littering" said a smug voice behind them.
Turning around the girls narrowed thier eyes at three unexpected guest.
The three teenage boys gave them vile smirks in return.
[Huh! It's the Rowdyruff Boys!]
"What do you three want?" Blossom asked.
"Aw not happy to see us Pinky?" Brick replied.
"I'm surprised they even recognize us." Boomer said.
"What do you mean? We fight you guys often and we go to school with you now." Bubbles gave a raised eyebrow.
"Yes, but from the sound of things earlier we weren't exactly on your villains list." Butch darkly chuckled.
"You creeps were ease dropping!" Buttercup snarled.
"Super hearing girly. And by the way I totally agree with that spice comment." Butch gave Buttercup a wink.
Buttercup eyes narrowed further and she floated up to thier level, and her sister's followed. The two sibling groups were about six feet across from one another in the air.
"I guess we only felt like listing villains who matter." Buttercup gave Butch a smirk as his slowly faded to a scowl.
Before he could attack Brick held him back. He then turned back to address the girls.
"How about enough verbal assault and let's just do what we came for." Brick began to heat up and his brothers followed his lead by charging up thier powers as well.
Blossom narrowed her eyes at the smirking leader.
"Gladly."
Blossom began to charge up and her sister's followed suit. The two teams began to slowly fly towards one another and then began to pick up speed.
Just as they were about to make contact, Bubbles stopped.
"WAIT!"
Everyone stopped mid air and turned to the blue puff who was powering down.
"Bubbles what the heck?!" Buttercup asked with a glare.
"Why are we doing this?"
Her sister's and the Ruff's looked at her like she had lost her mind. Blossom then addressed her sister.
"Bubbles what are you talking about?"
"Why are we about to fight them?"
"Um maybe because thier our enemies!" Buttercup gave her an eye roll.
"But they haven't done anything worth us fighting them."
Blossom and Buttercup gave thier sister a wide eye look before coming to the conclusion that she was right.
"Huh, you're right Bubbles." Blossom began to power herself down.
"Yeah, not worth our time." Buttercup powered down and floated back beside her sisters.
The girls looked back at the boys who looked shocked, but also...nervous?
"So you're not gonna fight us?" Brick asked.
"Like Bubbles said, you guys haven't really done anything worth a fight." With that Blossom began to float away.
"Except, you know be an annoyance." Buttercup floated after her sister.
"Sorry about all that. Have a nice day." Bubbles flew after her sisters.
The boys floated in thier spot in the air, shocked for a minute before nervously looking at each other.
They powered themselves down and flew after the girls.
The girls abruptly stopped as the boys appeared in front of them.
"You three sure you don't want to fight?" Brick asked
The girls looked at the boys in confusion.
"Because we have done some bad things!" Boomer added rather quickly.
"Yeah, this morning we um...we.." Butch looked over to his brothers for help.
"We threw an egg at Mojo while he was watching t.v.!" Brick gave a smug smile
"Yeah we did." Snickered Boomer.
"That little stunt could've made him mad and want to terrorize Townsville. Pretty mess up!" Butch said with a sneer.
The girls continue to stare at the boys in confusion slowly blinking.
The boys seeing this began to fidget.
"We also..um.." Brick looked for help.
"We shoved a little kid down!" Butch said.
"Poor thing was crying and if it wasn't for thier mom they still would be!" Boomer laughed and his brother joined in, but the laughter soon stopped when they saw the girls expression was taking on a more concerned look.
"Doesn't that, you know, make you want to fight us?"
"No..Brick are you three okay?"
"Of course! We just...um..want you three to see that you have a reason for fighting us!" Brick rubbed the back of his neck avoiding eye contact with Blossom.
"We also...um spat gum on the sidewalk! Does that make you want to fight?!" Boomer said with a smirk.
"...no." Bubbles gave him an raised eyebrow and his smirk faded to nervousness.
"We also stole a guys spare tire! Bet that's worth a punch!" Butch said haughtily.
"Not really." Buttercup gave Butch a side tilt of her head and he just looked away.
"Well we also...!"
"Brick it almost sounds like you guys want us to fight." Blossom gave them one eyebrow arms crossed.
"Please Pinky! Like that would ever be the case!" Brick was slightly sweating and his brothers weren't doing any better.
As the girls continued to stare at them the boys kept fidgeting until finally Boomer broke.
"We're bored okay!"
"Boomer!" His brother's glared at him, but he glared back.
"Well we are!"
Brick turned form his brother and rubbed a hand down his face before facing the girls once more.
"Yes, fine we're bored."
The girls look of confusion turned into one of understanding as the boys continued.
"We got bored at Mojo's really quickly. There are only so many monkey movies you can watch." Brick rolled his eyes.
"We decided to hang out in town, but couldn't find anything interesting to do. So we flew out here."
"We overheard you three talking and thought you would come up with something. When you couldn't we thought picking a fight with you all would give us some entertainment." Butch finished where Boomer had left off.
"The best plan you all had was to pick a fight with us?" Buttercup asked.
"Hey! You three are ones to talk! Hiking? Really?!"Butch fired back.
Buttercup rolled her eyes and the teens let out a collective sigh.
Minutes of awkward silence lingered on until Bubbles broke it.
"Since were all bored, why don't we hang out together?"
The boys looked at her like she had just cursed at them, Buttercup looked at her wide eye, while Blossom's rubbed her chin in thought.
"That's actually not a bad idea Bubbles."
"Blossom I don't know what you've been inhaling, but there was nothing good about what she just said."
"You're just jealous that I've been using my brain more lately." Bubbles said with a smirk.
"Yes, well tell your brain that those paint fumes will cause damage."
"Buttercup we're both bored. It would make sense to lessen our boredom by..."
"Whoa, whoa, back up!" Brick cut Blossom off.
The girls looked at the boys who were now giving them similar looks as they were giving them earlier.
"Fighting you three is one thing, but actively hanging out with you all, WILLINGLY?...I'm with your sister on this one." Butch crossed his arms.
"Yeah, I don't think that would work well." Boomer chimed in.
"How would you know if we don't try it?" Blossom asked them.
"Even if we did try it still wouldn't work. You three are too...too...good."
The girls narrowed their eyes at the statement Brick just made.
"What's that suppose to mean?" Bubbles asked.
The boys smirked at the angry looks the girls were giving them.
"It means hanging out with a Ruff is about mischief, sneakiness, and playing by your own rules. Something you Puffs just wouldn't understand." Butch shook his head in mock disappointment.
"We could hang out with you three! Your not that evil!" Snarled Blossom.
"No, but we can be bad. Name one crime you've committed AFTER your pre-school days."
Brick gave them a smug look while his brothers snickered. The girls froze in thought before narrowing their eyes at them in silence.
"Just as I thought!" Brick started laughing loudly and his brothers joined in. The girls kept glowering at their mockery.
"We're sorry that we choose to be heroic instead of nuisances!" Growled Buttercup.
"Please being a hero is not that difficult." Boomer said with a scoff.
The puffs eyes widened before narrowing much harder this time.
"Excuse you." Blossom gritted.
"You heard him. Saving the day and stopping a bad guy, is not that hard." Butch said with a roll of his eyes.
"Oh, well if it's so easy, why do you three seem incapable of doing it?" Asked Bubbles.
The boys laugher stoped and thier smiles turned into frowns.
The girls gave them vicious smirks in return.
"Could it be you don't know how?" Buttercup asked in a mocking tone.
"Or maybe it's too difficult for you tough guys?" Bubbles added in condescendingly.
"Now, now girls it's not thier fault they can't handle the responsibility of heroics, only the courageous can do such things." Blossom gave her sister's sweet looks of understanding before there vile smiles returned.
The boys flew quickly until they were directly in their counterparts faces. Both groups of teens glared at each other.
"We could easily do a heroic act." Brick growled.
"And we could easily pull off a petty crime." Blossom growled back.
Brick's frown slowly turned into a look of mischief.
"Well alright then. How about a little bet to settle things."
The girls and his brothers looked at him with curiosity.
"We'll hang out with you three..."
"We will?" Butch asked before being elbowed by his brother.
"We'll hang out with you three, but on one condition. You have until..Boomer when is our curfew?"
"6."
"You have until 4:30 to do a crime."
Buttercup and Bubbles looked at Blossom who was in deep thought.
"Give us a second." Blossom pulled her sister's away into a small huddle.
The boys tried to listen in, but couldn't hear a thing. They watch the girls nod and fly back in thier position.
"Well go along with your bet, but YOU three have until 4:30 to do something heroic." Blossom said.
Butch and Boomer looked Brick who rubbed his chin in thought before glancing at both of them, then addressing Blossom.
"Deal."
"Good. If we win you have to go two weeks with no crime." Blossom said with a smirk.
"And if we win, you have to go two weeks without busting us for crimes." Brick returned the smirk and let out his hand. Blossom raised an eyebrow.
"Are only you and me making the bet?"
Brick looked at both of his brothers. The two sighed and stuck out thier hands as well.
Blossom smiled. She and her sister's then stuck out thier hands and they all shook on the deal.
"Well this is gonna be a fun day. We're so glad you guys choose to hang out with us." Squealed Bubbles.
Before the boys knew what was happening the girls pulled them over and gave them each a hug.
The boys squirmed and were able to shove them off.
"Don't hug us!" Butch dusted himself off.
The boys gave the girls a glare and the girls shifted nervously hands behind thier backs.
"Sorry, Bubbles excitement can be a bit contagious." Blossom said.
The boys gave them a roll of their eyes.
"Whatever." Butch muttered.
"So what do we do first?" Boomer asked.
"Well I don't know about everyone else, but I'm hungry." Butch said while stretching.
"Now we're talking!" Buttercup said eagerly.
"Well it's 11:45. We could grab straight food now, or just snack until about 3, then grab some lunch." Said Brick.
"That's sounds like a plan." Agreed Bubbles.
"Alright let's get started." Blossom was about to start flying, but Brick had another grand suggestion.
"How about we have a race? Last one to town has to buy the first snack?" Brick smirked, his brother's doing the same.
The girls were less than thrilled.
Blossom gave a head shake. "Aren't we already in the middle of a bet? Do we really..."
The girls were almost knocked out of the sky as the boys flew past them.
They turned back and smiled victoriously at the girls.
"Later slowpokes!" Butch called before they took off.
The girls fix themselves up before glaring at the disappearing streaks.
"Uncalled for!" Bubbles snubbed.
"And they're cheaters! Using a head start!" Scoffed Buttercup.
"We are not gonna keep being pulled by their childish ways." Blossom declared.
Her sister's nodded in agreement.
They stayed in place eyes closed in defiance until about sixty seconds later they glanced at each other and took off after the boys in high speeds.
[The Powerpuff Girls AND The Rowdyruff Boys! Hanging out together?! This is gonna be quite the journey ladies and gents!]
