Before , during and after the 20 years on the Isle of the Lost
Hans's 12 brothers all sneer at him as he is dragged away to the Isle's of the Lost, Hans was dressed in ratty clothing that wasn't very warm. The brothers stood side by side with one another and gave him one last glare before he was transported to the Isle, none of the brothers had bothered to write to Hans and he was alone on the isle. Some of the children would often bring him food because Hans never his left "house" which was made from broken pieces of wood and had no insulation, during the coldest days some of the villains would drag him to their house to keep him from dying but Hans remained quiet.
None of the villains had heard Hans speak, he would often keep an eye on the children and one day Dr. Facilier approached him as a way for him to be a teacher at Dragon Hall. 'What do you want me to teach' asked Hans in a rather rough and croaky voice that had not been used for 10 years, 'You could teach the children how to act amongst royalty' suggested Dr. Facilier and Hans perked up. 'I will do it' said Hans as he started to prepare the lesson's for the kids as well as figuring out how to invite royal villains to the lessons.
For the next 10 years, Hans taught the Vks how to act around royals and when he heard about how 4 vks were going to Auradon how was happy because then the 4 kids would be able to put his lessons's to good use. 3 months after the 4 kids left for Auradon that was when Hans received a letter from the 4 students in which they explained how his lessons were proven to be useful and about how his brothers had felt regret when their own children started to behave how he had.
"Dear Hans,
We are writing you because we are deeply apologetic for how we treated you before you left for the Isle. The 4 "villain kids" have explained how dreadful it is on the Isle, rumours are starting to fly around the country of Auradon that Mal will be the one to bring down the barrier, we wish you well and know that we wish to see you again
Sincerely your brother"
Hans was deeply moved by his brothers letter and he wrote letters to his brothers and he was elated to know that his brother were all happily married and had kids, after Uma had escaped that was when Hans figured that soon enough the barrier would be fully removed. Hans remained by himself the whole time on the Isle and he never had any kids because he wanted to be properly married before he had any kids, since Hans was alone he was often the target for getting stabbed and having various bones broken.
Once the barrier was fully removed, some of his fellow villains found him unable to move and Hades healed his bones but the bones had healed incorrectly. He had managed to hide his pain rather well, soon enough the villains were leaving the Isle and Hades had teleported Hans to the Southern Isles with nothing aside from the filthy clothes on his back.
Which brings us to the present:
The king of the Southern Isles and his 11 brothers were helping out the citizens of their kingdom when 2 figures appear in a cloud of smoke with one of the figures disappearing again, 'Who are you' demanded Caleb as he made a move towards the figure with his sword drawn. 'Hello Caleb is that any way to say hello to your brother after 20 years' said the figure as he lifted his head and revealed to be Hans, and the other 11 approached the 2 men and they were shocked to see Hans again.
'Let us go back to the palace and have a feast to welcome Hans home' said Runo and his brother agreed aside from Hans who looked ready to fall asleep and he did, 'Let's do it another day' suggested Caleb with his brother agreeing and soon enough Hans was carried back to the palace and he was placed in his old room as to not frighten him. The next morning Hans woke up and he found 2 of his old suits before him as he was still in his clothes from the Isle which were made smaller since he had not eaten enough while he was on the Isle.
Hans wore the clothes that he had been wearing the previous day to breakfast and he knew that his brothers wouldn't be impressed by his choice of dress but he had lost a significant amount of weight while he was on the isle of the lost and wearing those clothes would only make it more prevalent. As Hans walked down to breakfast, he remembered all of the fun times that he had when he lived in the palace, as soon as he had arrived in the dining hall, all heads turned towards him.
As 12 men looked at him in shock and the 12 women looked at him in disgust Hans took his seat far away from any of his brothers, Hans only had a small breakfast and during that time his brothers are often opening and closing their mouths as if they are trying to ask him something. After the 5th time of that happening, Hans just speaks up 'If you have anything to say then you can say it' said Hans which is the straw that broke the camels back and soon enough one of his brother Tyler spoke up.
'Hans why are you wearing such ragged clothing' asked Tyler and Hans glared at him, 'Well Tyler it is because I am not the same that I was 20 years ago' said Hans and once he had finished breakfast then he leaves and goes to the royal gardens for some piece and quiet. While he is in the garden his brothers wives sat down around him, 'So you are the brother that we have heard so much about' said one of the ladies and Hans remained quiet as he was just wanting some peace and quiet.
'Sarah I think he want's to be left around for now' said another one of the ladies and then they left, Hans had a quiet afternoon but he fell asleep under the tree and he remained under the tree for the entire night which was rather cold that evening. When dawn broke the next morning Hans felt rather cold and he realized that he had spent the entire night asleep in the garden and he just proceeded down to the dining hall once again and his brothers were slightly annoyed that he wasn't in his room that evening.
'Hans have you grown custom to wearing the same old filthy rags everyday that you haven't bothered to change your clothing' sneered Runi and Hans felt a little self conscious for the fact that he was wearing filthy clothing while the rest of his family was wearing freshly cleaned clothing but before Hans could utter another word, a servant entered the room. 'You majesties I present Evie' said the servant as the daughter of Grimhilde entered the room.
'Your majesties you requested me' said Evie as she was unsure as to why she was summoned until to see a familiar figure, 'Hello Professor Hans I assume that your siblings want you to have a new outfit' asked Evie and Hans could only laugh. 'I believe that you are correct Evie' said Hans as he got out of his seat and stumbled slightly, Evie grabbed his arms quickly and helped him stand up straight, 'Let's go to my room Evie then we shall have some privacy' said Hans as he quickly guided the girl out of the tense room.
Hans's brother went over to his room once they had finished with breakfast and they were surprised by how thin Hans looked, 'Professor I made your pants with an elastic waist band so it will fit you regardless of size and you shirts I made them slightly larger compared to your old suits' said Evie as she finished sewing the clothes for Hans to try on. 'Brother if you wish to enter then you may do so' said Hans in a slightly annoyed tone of voice and his brothers came out from behind the door, 'Hans what has happened to you. You look as if you are homeless' questioned Caleb.
Evie had stepped out of the room and let the brothers discuss their differences in private, Hans stepped down from the podium that Evie had him on and he once again stumbled with Tyler and James catching him. 'Hans you are sick go to bed while we alert the staff and summon the doctor' ordered Caleb and Hans did so and once he was in bed Hans fell asleep instantly and he didn't awaken for several days.
Once Hans was better and that was when he explained everything to his brothers about what happened to him on the Isle of the Lost and his brothers were grateful that he told them.
