From the day she first met Ninny, Macy has been able to see the world in color.
For anyone, that would be significant, so it only makes sense that she’s overjoyed by such a discovery. It only makes sense that she would feel an attachment to Ninny, to her other half, to her soul mate. The two of them were destined to meet, and there’s no way for either of them to deny it.
Still, Ninny does try to brush Macy off when she can. She’s shy like that, snapping if anyone gets too affectionate with her. That’s actually something that Macy rather admires about her- one trait of many. And, even if she’s too shy to get too lovey dovey, it doesn’t change the fact that they’re destined for each other, or the fact that there’s no one else in t he world that makes Macy feel the way Ninny does.
That’s why soul mates allow you to see the world in color, she’s sure. Without meeting that special person, one’s world should be dull and gray, but meeting their soul mate is all it takes to finally open the world up to them. Macy has gone father than she ever thought she could, all because Ninny has allowed her to see in color.
Besides, it doesn’t matter if she tries to act like she doesn’t care, or if she brushes Macy off from time to time. None of that matters when Macy knows her true self, when she’s seen the kind side that Ninny tries to keep hidden from most. There are a lot of things worth loving about her, and, in that regard, Macy knows that she is the luckiest person in the world, to be Ninny’s one and only soul mate. She will always be grateful.
