"Nakahara Chuuya."

A low and reverb voice rings in his head. The room was pitch black, suffocating and cold. There he could see no end to the space he was in, and it repeats itself.

"Nakahara Chuuya."

His breathing was inconsistent, a pain within him lingers for god knows how long. This was normal to him. He jolted and covered his ears, trying to stabilize his breaths. The voices continue repeating his name, again, again, and again.

"Shut the fuck up will you." He shouted, voice still cracking.
"You know very well that I will not do as you wish." It let out a chuckle which made Chuuya gritted his teeth.

"Your body is slowly and obediently giving itself to me, its not a bad time to be one with me you know." It continued.
"What and become a killing machine? No thank you, I'm fine with the way I am." The ginger immediately turned it down.

"You know, Arahabaki is not just about destruction. It could give you more than you could imagine."

A cold breeze passed his red locks, sending shivers down his spine. The distorted figure looms above him, the mafioso daren't look.

"A god's power could give you anything you want, be it immortality or resurrection. But of course, a price must be given."

It continued, going on and on and on..

"JUST SHUT THE HELL UP DAMMIT."

His body jolted upwards from the mattress. He pants, slowly his muscles relaxed and he exhaled. He looks around the room to see that he was inside the Port Mafia's infirmary. Why was he bedridden?. Oh. The joint mission with ADA made him end up here. Specifically, a joint mission with his former partner. A creak was then heard from the door and came the Port Mafia boss.

"Boss-" A fit of cough's came out of the Executive.

"Restrain from speaking for now Chuuya-kun. It appears the mission was a success, although there was a slight interruption it went according to plan." The boss spoke, catching him up.

"How long have I been here if I may ask boss?"
"A week."
"..."

Silence covered the room. Until the executive groaned, his body aching from the aftermath of corruption.

"It seems he forced you to go all out during the mission. Your injuries were pretty fatal, so I will give you a week off from work. Until then you are to rest and wait for further instructions" The raven haired said as he turned to the door.
"Oh and someone is here to visit you, please do not start a ruckus"

"Understood boss" The ginger weakly bowed towards his superior. A question lingers in his mind, who is this visitor?

A figure came in the room, Chuuya could barely see who it was. Soon his eyes widened at the sight.

"How have you been Chibi?"

It was Dazai Osamu.

"Why are you here -cough- Mackarel!?" Although he sounded annoyed by the brunette's presence, he was quite content with the visit.

No answer. The taller figure walks closer to the weak mafioso. Slowly, and slowly. The ginger was confused until suddenly.

Slap.

The brunette slapped him.
What?

"The hell-"

Before finishing his sentences, he received yet another blow. Again. Again. And again. It hurts. It hurts so much.

"Dazai- what the fuck-" He coughed up crimson, staining the satin white blanket. The brunette took him by the collar.

"'What the fuck' you say? Stop acting dumb Chuuya, everything went downhill because of you. You useless shit"

What. What is going on.

"If only you followed my plan and not just decide things on your own THEN everything would end up smoothly. Of course you HAD to do something so reckless. God I wish Odasaku was here"

There it was. Odasaku.
Why was he even surprised, Chuuya will always be the second option for everything.

"Shithead was that all you wanted to say to me? All because Sakunosuke died and not me?" Chuuya's voice hitched.
"I'd rather have him alive than you. You're just an inhumane little monster"

That was it. Chuuya had enough.

"I can't even believe I took my time to come and see you-"
"Leave"
"Why should I-"

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE"

Three days passed and Chuuya was home, wasted on the floor. Even though his body wasn't fully back in shape he never cared and continued to drink. Drinking his emotions away. The man he cared about was unhappy about him. The man would rather have Sakunosuke alive than him. Another glass was poured.

Despite you doing thing to me, I can't help but care for you

Crash. The wine bottle broke out of rage. The executives arms bleed from the glass. He started destroying everything he could and screamed. His cheeks felt water falling. He is so weak. So very weak.

"You're right shithead, Sakunosuke shouldn't have died, it should've been me. I'm not human, I'm just a monster who doesnt deserve a heart. I am not worth anyone's time, nor am I worth of a life."

He pants and continued his drinking. He's had it.
He then thought, If he was gone will that waste of bandages be happy. All Chuuya ever cared about was his happiness, he never cared for his own.
He continued. Drinks and drinks.

It was three weeks later. Chuuya was yet again assigned to a joint mission with Dazai. Although he wanted to refuse, Mori wouldn't take a no. So being the loyal member he is he sucked it up and met up with the Detective. This mission was an infiltration mission. An underground group of thieves has stolen ADA's documents and is in debt to the PM, both bosses decided a joint mission was necessary. Chuuya arrived at the meet up spot, of course he was waiting. They haven't talked since and the air was tense.

"Chuuya I-"
"Let's get moving, I don't have all day"
"Chuuya. Listen, back then I was-"
"You meant all of it? Yeah I know"

Chuuya quickened his pace leaving the younger man behind.

The whole mission was a silent treatment. No one spoke. Chuuya avoided his gaze through the whole mission. Dazai desperately tried to talk to him only to be left by Chuuya. The mission then ended up with them having to go to combat. Chuuya coughed violently after leaving the brunette worried.

"Are you okay?" Dazai asked out of concern.

"Since when did you care -cough-"
Blood came out from his coughing fit.

"Chuuya, you've been neglecting your health haven't you?"
"Why is it your business, you wanted me dead wasn't it"
"Chuuya what I said was wrong"
"And you expect me to believe that from someone who betrayed me?"
"..."
"I figured"

Dazai stood there silent, no words came out. They continued the mission. Silently. Every now and then the Executive would cough up blood and the detective would try to come close, alas he was turned down. Although he never shows it, Dazai truly cares for Chuuya. He doesn't want anyone precious to him to disappear again. But this all happened because of his actions, who's the one being reckless now?

They then approach the core of the base, it was heavily guarded and it was a very cramped. Stealthy, they walked in.

"Enemies spotted!" A man alerted his subordinates. Crap. They're caught.

Avoiding a sneak attack Soukoku jumped towards the center of the room. Guns were pointed at them. This was nothing. Dazai leapt forward defending himself from the attackers. He blows a punch at their chins, leaving them unconscious.

Attacks after attacks, and back up came. This was bad. They both wont hold much longer. Chuuya's body ached but he continued. He continued. Three men surrounded him, he was further away from Dazai. The men started to attack him with no room to breath. Because of his physical state, he wasn't that great in combat. From afar he saw the detective in a tight spot. Gritting his teeth he continued his attacks.

Dazai breathed heavily, fighting was not his speciality. He was getting weak from the punches he recieved. Someone then took him from the back and pinned him down on the concrete floor, blocking his airways. Despite him wanting to die, he never wanted to die in pain. So he desperately tried to escape until.

"To thee the granting of a gloomy corruption, May ye never awaken again."

Dazai's eyes widened.

No. No, why now. Not in how vulnerable his body is.

The destruction was aimed towards the mens that barged towards him. Red. Red. Red. Everything was red. Black orbs flew with no directions, flying and destroying. A monster. Dazai struggled to escape only to be kicked ever so far away from the mafioso. Hi grunted as he focused his vision towards the only other person he could trust. Oh no. Chuuya was already at his limits. If he isn't there in time. The.

"Chuuya!"

The brunette ran but was blocked by more armed men. he had no time for this. He tried to avoid them but to no avail. Dazai continued to shout his name like a chant. Like his life depended on it.

The ginger continued his actions without a thought. Continued to destroy. Continued to cough the red substance. Continued to die. In the back of his head he heard his partners voice, calling his name. He could burst out from hearing the emotions that was poured out within his voice. Dazai never cared for him, why was his voice sounded so sad. Destruction. Pitch black.

.
.
.

"Arahabaki" The ginger called out.

"What is it that you need Chuuya?" It asked slyly.

"The offer you told me, It doesn't sound half bad" He replied meekly, a smile forming.

"What is it that you wish for?" It asked again.
"Oda Sakunosuke's resurrection"
"And what will you be willing to pay to me?"

"My life"

.
.
.

"Chuuya"

A familiar voice shouted.

"Chuuya!"

"Chuuya!"
Chuuya answered with a weak cough.

"Chuuya, it's going to be okay. Hang in there alright? I've called for back up" Dazai reassured him, Chuuya could only smile lightly.

"Osamu, promise me you'll be happy alright? Sakunosuke will be here any minute" The ginger said panting heavily. His body was covered in bruises and injuries. He was cradled by the brunette.

"Odasaku? what do you mean Chuuya, and don't call me by my first name you're scaring me" His chest beated faster.

"I exchanged my life with Arahabaki for Sakunosuke's life. You'd rather have him alive than me right?" His vision started to blur and his muscles slowly relaxed.

"You WHAT!? Chuuya what were you thinking. I'd rather have you alive, Odasaku has already rested he wouldn't want this!"

Chuuya's breathe started to slow down.

"Chuuya, I never meant what I said that time. I was worried about you and I ended up hurting you. I'm sorry, please just hang on for a little longer. I never wanted you to leave, please, please I'm sorry!" Tears started to form after years.

"Osamu, I don't have much time"
"You have so much time"
"I hope you're happy in the future"
"I won't be the same without you"
"It was never your fault"
"I made you do this"

"Tell Sakunosuke, that I'm so happy he is alive. And I'm so happy to die in your arm"

Cold. Dead cold. No breathing was heard. Dazai checked for any signs of life. Nothing. It was all his fault. He was the trigger to his death. Why. He lost someone again. His heart ached and his shoulders hunched. He held onto the cold body even tighter, like his life depended on it. Tears started to fall of his cheeks.

"Chuuya, please. Don't leave me. I never wanted you to leave me. Please come back. Im sorry. Im so sorry. Please stay with me a little longer"
