8 bit was alone in his room, actually for majority of the day. He wanted it like that, he didn't want to deal with a lot of things, he wasn't in the mood, but he was never in the mood for a lot of things. But without his friends annoying shenanigans, his mind drifted, with the lack of constant annoying noise, to a lot of things, specifically his hatred.
No one really knew why the small arcade machine hated seemingly everything, or why he's so grumpy. Everything seemed to tick him off, you name it he most likely finds it annoying. Like I stated before though, no brawler could and can figure out why.
He'd never say. He'd take it to the grave.
But it has to do with hatred.
Hatred is like a disease something that festers and grows and becomes painful to yourself and sometimes others, if you ignore the source. That's what 8 bit tries to do, ignore and control, never sharing his feelings. Causing him to snap out at others and ripping in to them, even if for the littlest things.
That's what it is for him like a virus.
His hatred stems from something that happened to him in the past, something that he can't forget. Something that scarred him, something that resonates all the way to his core.
The way that he was treated, before anyone knew he was sentient. He was beaten up, had his other gun stolen, ice cream shoved in to his coin slot, a broken screen, getting him sticky, their laughing voices so filled with joy at causing him pain.
On his worst days he could still hear their voices.
His hatred sometimes involved into fear.
Fear that he would ever feel that he could be useless to do anything to stop people hurting him again.
Fear and hatred mix and it's why he's so snappish and angry.
But this day was different. It was terrible what happened that day.
His emotions finally erupted he was sick of it, how could people who did such terrible things be so contented with their lives.
WHY!?
He was sick of it!
He didn't care anymore he was sick of it, he was going to make them pay!
He did what a lot of people do, let his hatred consume him. That day everyone learned what 8 bit could become, how strong he was.
But, the other brawlers thought it was an accident. They thought it was a virus that corrupted him that caused that horrible, horrible incident.
They were wrong, 8 bit knew that.
8 bit still remembers everything. The blood and oil covering him, every brawlers screams and begs for mercy.
Them finally being able to overcome him or what they call Virus 8 bit. He remembers waking up in Pam's garage after they defeated him.
Pam had explained how after that virus had corrupted him, how it went on a rampage, and how after the brawlers had barely defeated it, she brought him back here, and had "fixed" the virus or so she thought, but only 8 bit knew what had caused the rampage wasn't a virus, but anger and hatred. And you can't fix anger and hatred, it's normal to the point it's part of life, something to deal with.
